I use Rain of Arrows and Hakan as a poison rogue. It allows you to clear huge piles of trash mobs and elites while running a mostly single-target bosser setup. There's two other components to making this work: the aspect that lets you drop 4x poison traps without breaking stealth and the aspect that gives you a 10% chance to create a toxic pool when an imbued skill critically hits.
The cycle is simple: pull as many mobs as possible, group them so they're in a long line instead of a blob, then pop stealth, drop 4x poison traps along the line of mobs, and break stealth with Rain of Arrows firing back along the line of mobs. The toxic pools are guaranteed to spawn all along the line as well, given that RoA strikes so many times. Then, just finish them off with a few poison-imbued TB's while they're frozen in place..
This clears all but the tankiest of elites in one go. Of course, the main benefit to this is you can still run the poison bosser build to instantly delete any boss. DPS is so high, you don't even need to use an ulti on the boss, so you don't really miss out on any needed single target dps by going with RoA over Shadow Clone.
Does this still work or is this nerfed now?
The problem is the cool down on RoA can’t be reduced by more than 4-5 seconds. One alternative is to Run the Word of Hakkan with Death trap and Poison trap. But cooldown is the biggest issue with RoA using WoH. Makes multi mobs and boss gifts challenging if they aren’t killed by the ultimate skill.
@@chrisstennett1592 a little untrue. You can get 10% cooldown reduction on help and amulet which is a 10 second reduced cooldown. Add on specialisation preparation which reduces cooldown by 5 seconds on every 100 energy you spend and have accelerating aspect to shoot really fast you will get roa again in no time. Thing I don't like is it is a one hit wonder, it has a slow start up and sometimes the aim can go wrong. Shadow clones are better which is harder to mess up on and more forgiving.
I had 2 condemnations fully leveled and both had socket slots. Re organizing the horrible trash stash and didn’t realize I left them in my inventory and scrapped them both at the blacksmith. Need to be able to lock anything we never want to lose.

Great video. Lvl 90 doing mostly t40 to t50 nm dungeons. I agree with most. I do use fists of fate but it is perfect 300. I'm scared of the chill boots because I prefer a lot of evades. I use ashearas and enjoy that AS combined with my basic attack speed aspect and accelerating. I'm using cowl but I think I gotta give it up. Especially since I found out it's multiplicative. It seems that the uniques in d4 are mostly for specific niche builds, unique builds literally because they all have stats hinting toward niche uses and builds so for specific uses they can all be pretty useful, its just generally and for everyday diablo theres not much uses for most of them.
I got Asheara's Khanjar on my 64 rogue and even if its not the best out there putting that on feels like if you were playing world of warcraft and someone popped hero/lust. The attack speed buff is very noticeable.
the death trape one is usefull. U just need to spam other attack as well and if monsters are killed by other attacks, deathtrap will re-arm.
It’s super useful for big packs of elites that don’t die from the first trap. I don’t experience CD issues with it on

Yes it is EXCELLENT, for killing elites that may be a bit above your weight class, especially if there are multiple of them.
If there is only 1 elite Rogue can solo basically anyone by just stagger locking them 😂
I gotta say, Word of Hakan is solid. Puncture, twisting blades, shadow step, dash, shadow imbue, rain of arrows, victimize - is actually a very solid build with a perfect Word of Hakan. The rain of arrows is devastating, and I even used it with some success in PVP. Added skulls to my swords and a fortify aspect on my armor, and I'm super tanky too. You sound so certain about things you haven't seemed to have tested very well. I like it better than with death trap.
Fr, I think he hasn’t spent enough time and effort with the rain of arrow builds because it’s crazy and it looks awesome. I got a rapid fire, cold imbue and rain of arrow build rn and it’s really good
I maxrolled hakan lvl 58 and used it until 70 lol. It's definitely useful just a matter of your playstyle and how you want to build your character. All these meta builds and superhero youtubers just lack the creative comprehension in some of these uniques imo. Everyones not gonna play to reach 100 in 9 days some ppl might want to farm or pvp or do other shit which they arent even thinking about..

Would it be worth losing out on the Vulnerability and Crit Damage rolls you get on regular Legendaries? From your other video I learned that Vulnerability acts as a multiplier which would be a substitute for the unique power of Condemnation, no?

Completely agree on Condemnation. I got this, switched to combo points paired with your Shadow build and I am soloing T10 at level 55. Even soloing the Butcher with this. Insane perk and weapon.

I feel lucky. I started a Rogue and was getting lvled on t4. Got a 788 Ancestral Condemnation for when I hit 60.
I'm using the arrow rain but im also doing a poison build with combo and rapid fire, seems to be the best single target I've seen and I've been looking around.

You're using Eyes in the Dark wrong if you have the build setup correctly you can have 10 death trap stacked on top of each other stun locking and killing everything that enters it

nah it sucks. Stacking 10 death traps takes how long? Even if you miraculously got the cooldown to say... 20 seconds average, which would be incredible... it would take over 3 minutes to pile up 10 death traps. When you can just kill a monster group in.. well for a really tough/large group, 30 seconds maybe? Unless yoiu stack them all and somehow lure all the enemies into it? I don't know I can't see how stacking 10 traps is a good idea based on how you explained it.
And to have it keep respawning you need to be in an area you are way underpowered, in which case, it keeps repeating, but doesn't kill fuck all. Or it might kill a weak monster, then stop respawning. Use it in an area appropriate for your level, and it usually kills something and doesnt work. The only time its good is for taking out mini bosses/elites, but only if they are alone. It's not broken at all lol otherwise everyone would be using them. They suck.

The shadow gloves are great u until you find a BIS yellow glove with crit, attack speed, critical damage and +3 to twisting blades

If you have the proper break point of increased attack speed you attack way faster and there for proc chances increase on top of the lucky chance
What type of build are you running? I tested out some increase attack speed items in hopes it would increase hits or attack speed with twisting blades and in particular the orbiting blades affect, but I am not sure if it applies there. That's why I was thinking of using Fists of Fate because assuming you have room to increase your Lucky Hit %, there seems to be more possible outcomes with it (for example heal, kill non-elites, etc) as well as the random chance for at least 2x damage
Word of Hakon is low key pretty awesome. It is really good for add clear especially if you build into it and there are a lot of really great rapid fire rogue builds that use rain of arrows as an ultimate and it clears rooms. Is it the best? No, probably not, but it is fun and better than what he is making it out to be.

He made this vid weeks ago.. pretty sure he’s tried a lot more builds since then and the Rainbow rogue build using that unique is a more recently discovered one as far as I know
It’s kinda terrible for melee rogues esp. flurry builds as RoA just can’t compete with SC for all out damage
@@Soluscentric this i agree dmg wise but sometimes it’s just fun seeing everything explode through walls u know and if your running the gauntlets that have a chance to spawn a shadow clone you can have up to 4 waves of arrows sometimes
the eyes in the dark have its uses, i've had it reset 11 times in a single mega pack, simply because it wasnt the killer, it resets, had 3 of them running at the same time just repeating endlessly
Yea my brother uses these along with penetrating shot and the cool down reduction final passive(forget what it's called) paired with umbral.. unlimited energy and he uses paragon boards for lots of damage to elites... in summary he melts nm dungeons
Word of Hakan is probably because you can proc rain of arrows on your dagger throw thingy with an enchantment so it's probably meant to be used someway like that.
Condemnation is literally bis piercing bow build which is the only viable high NM rogue build. Maybe doombringer TB is viable but who knows.

I use the heck our of those pants.. works really well on high hp mobs or elites. keeps em held in place.. it also remains on the ground until mobs venture into it, helps with cc. 😏
I didnt think about siphoning with temerity + barrier lego affix. Imma try that out since I actually have an 810 Temerity. Penitent just refuses to happen and that saddens me. Hopefully I can RNG a DB and Penitent for S1 lmao :). Fingers crossed. Nice vid.
Sorry. Noob here. So you re level 61, got these boots, made sure to change the bonuses on them so they re good, upgraded them and also put gems on them. Would these remain viable for when you level 90 or 100? Or will you have to go farm them again, upgrade them again and so on
i agree with you ...the grasp shadow doesnt mimic exactly my pen shot rogue...and yea sky hunter is better on pen shot ..especially for my pvp matches...the one shot is insane
You can pair skyhunter with thorns and crit for some crazy damage
Good info. From what I understand +vulnerable damage is so important due to vuln being in its own bucket correct? I think lucky hit is much more strong than players realize if you spec into it and rogue can. Overall, I think uniques for rogue are pretty meh. I did not know that you get more uniques running nightmare dungeons so thanks for that tip. I am just hoping to find that shako soon:)

Honestly, my main issue ATM is being unable to judge my drops. How much Dex loss is worth it to get how much +DMG to vulnerable, how much crit dmg should I value over how much crit, etc.
I suppose I have to go look at the buckets again, but if anyone has a good resource to help structure a stat priority type system I'd appreciate it.
That being said I'm at 59 and everything is still melting with twisting blades shadow build, so it's not like it's stalling my progression yet.

Just dont forget if u take +150 dex u get +15% damage so sometimes if i see crit damage +15% or dex u better take dex. Just calculate a bit.
But crit damage on weapons mostly is more than +15% so need to think before swapping

The death trap unique stops up permanently cause the stuff that’s. Taken barber damage didn’t count as a kill , I can even have more than 1 down at a time , FYI
death trap can be valuable by trying to kill enemies yourself instead of trap. I may have had high damage to injured to assist.

I'm looking for an upgrade for my chest since I just hit 70, but that thorns chest is really fun even if it's not the best. Killing those skeleton guys without getting off your mount is hilarious.
Think you missed the mark on fists of fate at least for leveling when i got them at level 61 all world tier 4 content became easy. Its functionally 150% increased ~(edit actually 50%)~ damage on average

150% of your normal damage is not a 150% increase, it's a 50% increase. The 50% increase is offset by the fact you're missing ranks to TB, 10-15% crit, and attack speed, along with an offensive legendary slot, which nets to way more than 50% increased damage. The CHANCE to nerf your damage doesn't seem ideal, and it remains to be tested if the likelihood of each % is the same. If you have the same likelihood of a 1% damage hit as you do a 300%, then technically it's 50% sure, but we don't know that it works like that. It could be a higher chance to get a low roll, or vise versa.
@@NickTew yea re-reading the unique you're correct. It's 50% multiplier on the damage but you can't get that multiplier anywhere else but these gloves. You can get levels from other items and in endgame +4 legendary gloves might have more damage cause of the scaling but it's hard to say without confirmation on how the damage rolls on the gloves but I can tell you from experience they feel better then plus 3 twisting blades and crit gloves so I still use these
Well at level 61 I was able to get in to torment solo via the dungeon and am playing there now at lvl 65
Yeah nahh... Gotta disagree on some of these. For example grasp of shadow seems way better than the condemnation if you also get the legendary that makes your clone mimic your imbument. Besides your clone can proc inner sight which is also amazing for burst style play. The only dowside as mentioned is that stats could be better.

The majority of your damage on TB rogue is the spinning / piercing part of your twisting blades, & shadow imbuement, which that clone does not properly replicate. You're wasting a legendary slot as well as other fantastic stats to gain an incredibly minimal damage increase that is very inconsistent and doesn't benefit from 90% of your damage sources. Feel free to use whatever you prefer, but I think they are objectively not good. Could be wrong though, more testing will need to be done for me to know 100%
@@NickTew Well that is under assumption that you run shadow imbument with your TB and not poison for example. Or even double imbument (cold and poison) build like Kanon for example does. So yes you are right if you are going with shadow imbument sure its inconsistent. But for cold and poison its quite good. Especially for poison it can be quite a big damage increase. So it really depends on how well it synergizes with the rest of your skills (so it is not "objectively not good" - you are right about more testing though).
The aspect that copies your shadow imbue onto your clone is underrated imo im 74 rogue atm and it seems to add more explosions and u can run it over the 4 energy when u cc and it feels the same but its more damage. Im pretty overgeared for the 21s im doing so maybe ill need the 4 energy when im not deleting stuff but the 16% damage + copy effect i think is underrated even if not bis.
Speaking so matter of factly about things that aren't proven. And we know they aren't proven because the "meta" for certain things is always changing. There are so many stats and dynamics, it's really hard to pinpoint the best things through calculations alone. I just saw a reddit thread comparing Rubies and Amethysts for armour slots (+health vs -damage over time). Seems simple. But once you get into the calculations, it turns into a massive math problem with tons of algebra, and people in the comments are STILL debating the OPs method which was like a page long.

Sorry your wrong about the death trap pants. In high level nightmare it just keeps going on mini bosses. And resets trap and concealment. Bad advice. Only resets on main boss, plus I get it back so fast the small amount of added time is nothing.

Also i tested the pants and its actually a lot better than what it seems on paper. Running higher nm dungeons with party where the monsters take forever to kill and the density is huge in tight space it is amazing CC constantly pulling them in on average it would activate about 5x each deathtrap and the percentage increase by that time had nor real effect. It seemed moreso like they had to add the increased cooldown just to nerf its power from having a constant deathtrap at normal cooldown... insane + with cdr and other specializations and skills its still under 40 sec

I have 6 condemnations, i have 2 WindForce i have 4 word of Hakan and 4 of the deathtrap pants, 3 of the freeze gloves, 1 razor armor, and i have still not got a pennant Greeves, and it is the ONLY one I've wanted and farmed for since I was 60, I'm 90 now and no drop. the system in this game is screwed. The only one i might use is the health pants i have 2 of.
The nerfs came just when I finished campaign and now I'm trying out barb. I should have played more so the nerfs didnt disrupt my skill rotation so badly
I was under the impression that "Hits with this weapon" ONLY applied if you used that weapon. As in, if a bow, like Windforce, you ONLY get the Lucky Hit chance if you actually shoot with the weapon, so using melee skills does not give you this benefit. Same with the Asheara's Khanjar. If you use a bow attacks while having that dagger equipped, you would not get the extra attack speed.
Have you confirmed that it works how you say it?
Yeah brother it doesn't matter whatever weapon you have on your back even if you're not using it you still get the effects, just not the base damage from it
Cutthroat skills utilise your two equipped melee weapons. Marksman uses your ranged.
You will receive secondary stat increases from all three items at all times and to all attacks.

@@agentspion i do believe you are right, this two guys didn't even understand what you were saying. Give that what you describe is one of the main mechanic on the barb where you can choose which weapon is used for each skill and you get weapon specific effects on the skill. I think with that wording "Hits with this weapon" it will only apply for skills that sue that weapon

Curious to see how cowl interacts with doom bringer if you run the cold boots... would that 7% lucky chance effect the shadow pops? For example giving more of them?
Please ignore this guy, in the same video he bashes Fists of fate and wf for having lucky hit than says doombringer is best in slot for its lucky hit ability.
He mentions Harlequins and not Andariels Visage which is best in slot for any poison build.
He says crit chance is hard to come by, and it's because he doesn't know INT gives Rogues crit chance, and ways to focus Dex only.
I really want all these youtubers giving bad advice to remove their rogue videoes and just upload a video saying they have no idea.

Man I just found out about the Doombringer super unique sword. I wonder what that would be like if you were to pair it with Frostburns and have Icy Alchemist aspect. Spec into a small amount of lucky hit chance and use rapid fire.

Razorplate good for pvp also pve with thorns if you standing still thorns will go off and do some aoe damage could be a nice build
There is such a massive amount of defensive power lost though. You really only ought to wear Razorplate when PvPing as a victim class i.e. one that gets stunlocked
Grasp of Shadow will be good to great for specific builds. The biggest problem with it right now is it requires other legos to get the most out of it. The fact that the clone doesnt use imbuements by default is the problem.
It neither uses imbuements with the aspect. I already made a bug report for that.

Screw imbuements the proc is bugged and doesnt do shit half the time. Also it shows up for way too short like 1.5 seconds and literally does no damage. Besides that i dont mind the gloves abd the proc amount is fine they just need to fix the shadow clone cuz that could be a fire build
@@abelee8917 It would be to strong if the clone stuck around much longer. It will show its value in pvp for burst. To use it properly you need to clone to trigger on a twisting blade or a shadow step. Either of those free can win a fight. This means you need to manage you CDs right and DO NOT spam basic attacks.
If you make it use imbuements by default it will see a LOT of use in pvp builds as burst is king.

When you talked about Condemnation: 3x30% proc chance does NOT equal 90% proc chance, not only in this case but ever. Please, never just add in those cases. Think about it, if you throw a coin you have a 50% chance of it landing heads. You don't have a 100% chance if you throw it twice, though. You simply have a 50% chance twice. Chance is never additive.
If you would have paid attention instead of rushing to the comments to blow your horn you would have seen that he explains that that's NOT how it works
@@adamstevens3661 I paid attention and the only thing he said was that, at first, he thought it must be 90%, but that this is, in fact, not how it works in game, so clearly the concept is new to him and there's no shame in that. I did not attack him in any way, I just explained how it works, so that he does not think it's additive in the future. No need to defend anybody, no need to attack anybody while doing so either.
Being a white knight keyboard warrior is fine and all, but it does not work super well when you're also absolutely wrong about what you're saying.

Here to add some math to that: 0.30 * 0.30 * 0.30 = 0.027 , so the chance of proc’ing all three of your hits is 2.7%
The chance of at least ONE proc’ing is 30%.
Well whatever the reason... it procs about 50% of the time a lot more than we even realize or need when were smashing buttons
no one has gotten any uniques from that set (Harlen, Doom, Grandfather, etc... i feel like they forgot to turn those on

You can't have an upgraded ultimate ability. It's only the base level, so on and so forth.

Well these are functionally different things because one is based on the skill use, where the other is based on the enemy not receiving a hit. If the 4 hits happen literally on the same frame then I could see it benefiting from the crit, but if they damage instances are even slightly delayed then only the 1st instance would benefit. Haven't tested myself though.
@@NickTew if it crits all 4 hits crit or overpower and it hits everything in the area of attack 4 times so if it crits u get 4 crits if it over powers u get 4 overpowered hits x how many enemies hit that is how the skill works

“Higher level you are the more you’ll get” ehh I’ve actually had the opposite experience I’ve got 2 lvl 100 characters pre season for seasonal a lvl 100 Druid a 70 barb an 86 necro and 84 rogue and for me with every character you get way more drops up to about lvl 60 and then from that point forward it slows down the higher you get goes for item power as well once I hit lvl 100 on a character I go entire days seeing maybe 1 item at 800 item power or higher yet below lvl 80 they drop like crazy
How do you have 5 stash tabs? I can maximum have a total of 4???

You’re wrong about the death trap pants. It absolutely destroys and is often triggering multiple times. You have abilities that bring that CD down. Try it.

I'd encourage you to actually test uniques before telling people what to use. Fists of fate appear to aggregate about a 150% overall increase in dps output (on a max roll of 1-300%). It also causes insane bursts of damage (at 71 I was critting as high as 250-300k) which can be helpful in downing bosses in seconds or any fights with large health pools. It does get gambly so I wouldn't use them unless you have a near max roll on them and I wouldn't use them in pvp because your dmg per hit will be inconsistent but PvE they are fine if you have a good roll.

Uniques are rare? I just entered world tier three power leveled to 64 and currently have 9 uniques total minus the guaranteed one you get at the end of the campaign
lol at this list, i do not agree, for one the rain of arrows necklace is god tier for ranged pen shot rogues. concealment, rain of arrows, vulns the entire room, shadow imbue, pen shot. that room is now gone. and its some of the biggest explosions and dps numbers in one shot ive ever seen. you should put in the title "i play meta only, twisted blades is bis, everything else sucks." cause ur giving the wrong info
Agree. I got a perfect roll on that amulet, got about 5, 4, 4 in all the imbues respectively. Dash, shadow step through, rain of arrows, and if anyones left, shadow imbue, twisting blades. Add some skulls to my swords, and have a fortify aspect on armour, and I am very tanky for a rogue too. Really solid build.
