This is my gun, and I took it out on Sunday and performed flawlessly and is by far my favourite gun haha 100% recommend the gun, and 1000000% recommend Negative Airsoft for all your work! ~Thanks again dude~
I've just got one of these, the shorter version and it's got a quick change spring guide that flaps about like my ex wife's morals. Found an m6 cap head and a washer to fit and it holds it sweet in the casing.running 1.1j and awesome.
As an old hand who has spent way too much failing to tech with an entire collection of v3 gearboxes (and has accepted to have fallen for the sorbo pad 14 teeth shs piston meme), thank you for this video and your efforts of bringing enlightenment. If it were not for how much I despise taking apart everything now I would be spending my weekends probably tossing out half of what I have done (I have a cyma ak105 that performs worst range wise than a cyma bizon despite same spring and other "upgraded" internals simply because I put a non ported cylinder in the bizon in a fit of madness). That trick with the gear positioning for reassembly is genius, I have always thought I had to have it positioned up at the point of contact all this time.
I've got a new CYMA AK74U that I've also purchased a warfet for. It'll be my second ever time opening a gearbox and 1st time attempting a general cleanup and hoping I don't fuck it up monumentally. Guess you have to start somewhere.
I ordered this exact gun a few days ago for dirt cheap - Super pleased to see a video from you getting your hands inside it, needless to say, proper moist for it now - Thanks for the cracking content
I love those AR latch clips. I first saw them years ago and then made a file to print them on my 3D printer, so I keep loads in my toolbox just in case one breaks, gets lost, or someone at the field wants one.
Good stuff! Always love watching your videos. Just the right ratio of information and banter/ranter. One thing I'd love for you to go into just a bit of detail on is the whole shortstroking. It's something I just can't seem to wrap my head around. When do you do what? Like in this case you took 1 tooth due to the rifles power and cycle state (Semi only) When do you know to take how many teeth and from where? Whenever you got a build dealing with this again, it'd be awesome to just get bit more detailed story on it. Thanks again and keep rocking!
At 9:50, when you talk about something at the very back not allowing the case to close, I found out with longer/harder springs is that the piston is usually not aligned with the tracks in the case.
I like to put a thin screwdriver in the hole at the rear of the spring guide and let it rest on the table when putting back together. Reduces the chances of the spring pushing the spring guide up and out of the gearbox when its only being held on the one side... Especially when using heavier springs...
Proper job, the first gun I worked on was the JG g3, probably the easiest to take apart, those stock motors are god awful, mine had a square port in the cylinder lol
What I like to do is giving the gearbox some really light taps with the back of a screwdriver. The gears, arl and trigger will slide In in 9 Out of 10 cases.
awesome video man! love your vids, i'm a big fan from australia. I research alot of airsoft as i build and repair gel blasters which are the exact same set up mechanical wise being v2 and v3 gearboxes. Only real difference is hop unit, nozzle and mags. Gelball techs have alot to learn. To make a retro arms gearbox work with a 7mm gel ball is a complete prick to adjust tappet stroke for feeding and compression from 6mm. Hurry up and just give us airsoft.... Keep up the great vids i really enjoy watching them!
@negative airsoft I just ordered one of these G3’s , waiting on it arriving Was thinking of doing a DMR build with it Perfect timing, thanks for your video Now fcuk off 🤣😂
if your in the US you wont need to shave off that sector gear tooth, depending on your field limits. The G3 is a DMR, its supposed to be high power. I think he only did that to reduce the amount of travel on the piston thereby decreasing the power I can't see him doing it to increase ROF or trigger response since both were great in the first place. Luke is in the UK where they have insanely low limits for guns of this type. I personally prefer to tune the spring down by cutting 1/2 to 1 coil at a time from the spring guide end of the spring. To each his own.
I Just came across your channel and I love your videos and humour!. I have a STOCK TM416 I want to get upgraded this summer, BUT there is NO verified TM dealers or shops that works on TM so I have to send it overseas. What would you recommend for upgrades?. I want a Titan mosfet, But as im new to Airsoft, and have no friends or clue what to do, and what not to do I figured I would ask you for advice :). Cheers from Norway!.
Hi, i love your videos, they are honest and filled with experience. I was competetive shooter with airguns for long time, i played airsoft when i was kid (we had mostly manual plastic crap rifles and when i got first AEG it was P90, hopup was more of an exotic word than feature for us :D ) I would love to get back to airsoft, is there any good starting weapon for future upgrades? I would like something for mid to long range, ppl around me are mostly playing CQB (not speedsoft tho) our limit is 130m/s indoors (Czech Republic, we have huge milsim outdoor operations once in a time with crazy FPS) I was checking Specna Arms and E&C metal bodies (they are common here) the only thing i would love to change in future (not mentioning better piston, seals, etc.) is the trigger pull, as i am used to sport airguns, the airsoft stock pull is ultra long for me. Thank you for any ideas. BTW i own a workshop for forging and i have basic machinery like lathe, drill, hydraulic press, etc.
Great video, but I'll ask, why do you use the ARL clip instead of a magnet? Like yeah, I wouldn't use it on a gun with advanced electronics inside, but can't do much harm to trigger contacts I'd say...
I know this might seem stupid and there are better options than a Gate Titan but can you show us how to fit a Titan into a V2 Krytac gear box and what to do to get it to fit?
Hi, so I'm looking to get a Krytac Lvoa C and due to the rules at the field I play at the limit the fps to 360 so I already know that i have to back it down any tips on which spring I should get to do that?

A little late and not the best info, but I found something for you
Great video used this to turn my secondhand G3 into a DMR. Keep them coming top work.
Nice job. Noticed the test grip and motor you got on the table, good stuff
What I found really works well when putting the shell back together is one of those dental poking tools and a magnet holding the AR latch

Nice vid as always! Out of interest, why did you take a tooth off the gear instead of cutting down the spring to adjust the FPS? Keep em coming!
Because I knew the drop would be perfect, cutting the spring isn't as precise
@@NegativeAirsoftTech Thanks!
I know this might seem stupid and there are better options than a Gate Titan but can you show us how to fit a Titan into a V2 Krytac gear box and what to do to get it to fit?
What grease do you like to use and what is used to clean off the gears and gearbox?
I use silicone oil as lubricant for cylinder head o-rings and piston head o-rings, should I be using grease? I'm not a pro at this stuff
When you remove a tooth from the sector gear do you remove the pick up tooth or the release tooth
Pick up

Anti-reversal latches are M A S S I V E C U N T S
I currently have a Specna SA-E01, would you recommend keeping the stock bearing bushings or replace them with standard bushings for longevity?
Replace to be sure. It's the bad shimming that blows them normally.
@@NegativeAirsoftTech Ah okay, that's what I was thinking. I reshimmed the box but I may as well get those replaced. Cheers.

Going to regrease my specna arms the only stuff I have is the bisley gun grease i use on my shotguns, will it harm or work as well as silicone gresee
I wouldn't....
witch hop up rubber and Nozzle lenth is installed? YOu show a spare part on the table but didnt use it in the build

@@GammaAirsoft_Gaming thanks ill check it out
Is the cyma cm0.97b a good m4? It seems really nice.
is there a difference between removing a gear tooth from the pickup side vs from the other side? nozzle position?
Yeah, I think it will fuck with your nozzle (tappet plate) timing.
Where can I buy that clip for the anti reversal latch?
Haven't found them so far.
Nevermind, found them 😁🙈
What grease do you use for gears and for piston?
what grease should be used on the gears & piston?

Can anyone tell me what that clip is for and where to get one?
