I have a triple digit ducky colony, you need live moss and lime stone.
Just saw the part of the video with the enclosure footage, that substrate is not wet enough. duckies like it incredibly swampy, more so than other cubaris. your substrate is also looking a little too uniform, try mixing in larger chunks of rotting wood.
also amber ducks need very different care than rubber ducks. They are almost the exact opposite in care, preferring drier substrates and lower ambient humidity. if you were trying to replicate their success with the other duck species, its probably why your colony wasn't doing so well.
I now realize this is a pretty old video, if you ever keep them again try live moss and lime stone. keep the substrate uniformly soaked. no excess water should be visible.

Reptiliatus Ha ha so true. That was 60 years ago for me. I made a whole cave and terrain in a concrete glass block. Plants in it. Had to keep it outside (My mom wouldn't let me bring it inside) Fed them pillbugs and whatever I could catch. Let them go when it started getting cold. Heck of a lot different than todays frogs. Ahhh the good old days. (Sorry no emoji for an old cogger) 😂🤣🐸

I've had duckies for 4 months bought as juveniles and they aren't breeding at all!!!
They don't eat normal foods. They totally ignore fish flakes.
Mine lives, but they simply don't breeed!!!

Jr Mikulec thanks for the love! I understand your concern about the click bait but please try to understand that I’m turning this into my primary source of income and that although the quality of my content is going to stay the same, click bait is an important part of marketing your video to get those views. Jesus loves you and died on a cross and rose three days later taking our place and paying our debt (for the wages of sin is death) so you can have eternal life and be forgiven of sin if you repent and pick up your cross and follow him daily
