Yo, I really these like these Attenborough-esque nature pieces. 😮❤ The detail and tone are both very good... and super engaging. I guess I just want to say thank you for doing these❤
@tarantulacollective Attenborough didn't give up, and he's a global treasure. You shouldn't either. Traction on YT is tricky, we're a fickle audience... But imagine, 5 years on you've got fifty of these with moderate Traction, and suddenly you are the voice of nature in some classroom somewhere? That's adding value to society. And society needs more value.
It’s what got me into isopods a couple years ago. I wanted them but wanted to make sure I could care for them so I bought cheap ones & worked my way up to them. There are so many cute ones out there.
I'd love to make more, but judging by the response (views) on this video so far...I dont know if I can. I will give it a few weeks to see if it finds an audience.
Definitely a audience bro esp knowing many who breed pods I’ll share and get you tons of more likes would love to see lots of more like this beautifully done I own over 70+ species so I can totally relate to isopods amazing inverts
I keep Rubber Ducky Isopods. The footage you captured is amazing. I greatly appreciate the incredible amount of effort you had to make to follow them perfectly and film them in such detail. You should have Rubber Ducky Isopd shirt pop an ad at the end and get your video over 10 minute mark.
This is an awesome video, I've been thinking about potential critters I could make a bioactive enclosure for one day as a future project to strive for. I love insects so I've been going down rabbit holes of keeping insects and arachnids. Then I remembered Rubber Duckies! I heard about them years ago and was charmed but totally forgot. I didn't expect such an informative video on a "roley poley" of all creatures, let alone a specific coloration of one, but this is so well done! The footage is great and I love the information.
Glad you like them! Please share the video with people you think will enjoy them because I don't think youtube knows what to do with this content...lol.
This has been amazing. It’s incredible,I almost want to fight someone that says they’re not out in nature rn. Love these docs! I learn and it’s such eye candy. I’m now about to watch it again on my tv for the experience.
Haven't watched yet but I'm so excited to 🙌. I've loved these species and have meant to learn more about them, but I know nothing will compare to the videography you're going to deliver.
Great stuff. One of these days I’ll be getting some Cubaris My P pruinosis are exploding. Just cleaned the Leo’s water bowl and must have seen 50 mancae under it :) The ember bee you posted earlier this week are easily my favorite isopod thus far. 👍
I just ordered a 10ct of rubber ducky isopods and have a terrarium set up for them already. It includes a moisture gradient, sphagnum moss, star moss, thread moss, a rock cave, decaying wood and leaves, and bark hides. We are leaving for 2 weeks near the 4th of July and I was wondering if it will be OK to leave them since the set up has many food options. My main concern is the moisture level. I currently have a lid that is completely screen. Should I make one out of plastic with holes in it so moisture is retained better?
I have an acanthoscurria geniculata too which is about 4-5 inches and she hasn’t molted In a year. She never webs and is now laying a sheet of web, is this her molt mat? She also has refused food for 2 weeks

Thanks so much, that means a lot. They really don't perform well or get a lot views, but I don't want to give up on them.
