Always had no issues staying at Excalibur. It’s right there on the strip and the price is fair. There are definitely nicer casinos but you’re going to be out most of the day anyways so the rooms being ordinary didn’t concern me.
Got married there many moons ago....by Merlin the Magician no less. Say what you will, but we had one hell of a good time doing so. It has lost some of its motif but it is still just a nice place to visit while in Vegas...IMO.
I fell in love with Vegas at Excalibur when I was 7 years old 😆. Grandma would take me down to the arcade and let me watch her at the slot machines when they weren't so strict about that kind of thing. Great nostalgia right here.
I’ve stayed all over Vegas and been to most of the 5 star hotels. But I will say I used to go to Excalibur when I was a kid. Now I loved it there more than any other hotel the nostalgia is better than any better room
Have stayed at Excalibur several times. The rooms are what they are, but face it, all you really need is a place to put your stuff, shower, and sleep when you’re in Vegas.

Great review ! The rooms are old and tired but mostly clean. It's the best value for a major hotel casino on the Strip. Rio and the Strat are cheap too but they are a ways from the Strip. Excalibur is in a decent location, easy and short walk to get to Luxor, NY NY and MGM Grand. I am getting a few comp rooms from my past MGM Rewards gambling, and I am staying here 5 nights over Labor Day weekend for $250 total including taxes and resort fees. You can't stay at a Motel 6 for that ! I appreciate the low prices, as I can use all the money I save for drinks, shows, food and gambling.
We love the Excalibur! Of all the resorts in Vegas the people and staff are extremely nice and helpful. I use a mobility scooter to get around and the Excalibur is very easy to get around in. Lots of ramps and the elevators are readily available. The rooms are adequate, but really all you need. For me the Buffet is the best in the area. The Luxor is good, but the MGM was terrible. The Tournament of Kings is great fun, and Mac King is absolutely hilarious and the magic is solid. After the show Mac King was near the exit and taking photos with everyone. Wonderful man and so friendly. We'll be back as often as we can.
