Don't know if you ever figured it out but if you take a meter and connect it to the chassis of the radio, then touch one of your two empty solder holes. You should get continuity out of one of them (it'll read zero or also beep depending on your meter). That is your gound connection. The other will be power.
why need a meter ?? open your eyes, remove the cable grip, get a wire and solder the board until it comes out, locate the other wire on the board, heat it and remove it, remembering which was red or black. fit new wire with a fuse, maybe even check or replace the reverse polarity diode to be safe.. this guy makes easy jobs hard work..!!
