- Aggression, intensity, focus. This is what you'll see and feel in The Cage. Athletes come from far and wide to get a chance to lay it all on the line for thousands of onlookers. They aren't paid. This isn't a sanctioned competition. This is pure, driving passion coupled with the desire to make a name for themselves. At the very least, they've earned some street cred.

There is nothing like being in the cage. I love working the booth and talking to the peeps but walking in that cage is truly amazing. Something I will never take for granted!

Powerlifting and Strongman have the best camaraderie. All the athletes cheer for each other even though they are super competitive. All the athletes want the others to succeed. Bodybuilding used to be like that in the 60’s and 70’s but now it’s just more jealousy.

Has anyone mentioned the idea of having the Cage event, on it's own accord, at some point this year? Seeing the new events has been a big part of motivation for me over the past five years and it would be cool to see the Cage overcome the Covid lockdowns, to bring up my own spirit.

@@ChathamGang Big Boy can lift pretty heavy and pitbull lifts damn heavy for his size.
If you have big legs then its actually easier to be able to squat or deadlift heavy especially when it comes to summo deadlifting because summos deadlifts are 80% leg work and only 20% back so its a leg dominant lift which is why 95% of women do summo. The summo deadlift also helps make your legs a lot stronger so naturally you will be able to squat more weight the more you develop your legs. There's still no substitute for a conventional deadlift for the true test of strength because there's no cheating it and no leverage like summo period which is why a lot of federations still dont allow summo deadlift !!!
Actually if your legs get big enough they become hindrance. That's why you don't see shw men in powerlifting pull as much as the 220 and 242 guys do sometimes. Their big legs make the bar have to start further away from them
