Mark, thought your first video was excellent and you have no need to justify what you did. As you say when you put pressure on the dogs or stops they move equally, as we know they need some slight tolerance or you would not get them in. Great videos mate.
You’re absolutely right. And there are aftermarket dogs that has a chamfered flange that need this chamfer in the holes. I don’t believe even Festool are producing these to tolerances that machinists require.. 😉 First an foremost the holes are for work holding. The patterns usually are are good enough for alignment but due to variation in air humidity the holes can widen up, and tighten up - that’s where some of the dogs with the chamfered flange comes in - Like Parf dogs from UJK/Peter Parfitt. Me and many others use the tables like you show Mark, keep calm and carry on! 🤙😄

Hi Mark! Thanks for making your videos. I’ve been looking at either the MWC1000 like you have or the MFT/3. Noticed you have an additional extension table for your setup. Was there a reason you went with the cart and not the larger MFT/3 table?
Hi William I do own MFT/3 also just waiting to do my final workshop setup. There is no reason but the mobile workshop didn’t take up to much space so I went with that. You can buy bars to strengthen the MFT3 also if you’re looking for something strong. If you don’t mind abit of wobble and limited with space go with mobile workshop. 👍
