I always love hearing or reading about the world eaters who strived to stay honorable and resist the nails, and Angrons moments of lucidity always make me sad for what never will be, such a shame that he could've been one of the best primarchs had Nuceria not been his home.
@@MrAdamske Not saying E was good, but there was literally nothing he could do for Angron other than kill him. All his sauce was taken by the nails. Angron doesn't even remember his pickup right. Tragic on tragic being handled by someone apathetic.
The only War Hounds/World Eaters Angron loved, were the ones who fought back against him and defied his hateful commands. Angron valued Freedom, Courage, and Honor; and he only ever saw it in those who defied the emperor and himself.
@@claytonthegrubkiller6430 I didn't say he lacked them, I said the kind of courage and honor every loyalist War Hound had was something Angron can't conceive. Angron was honorable and courageous once. Although, can primarchs even feel fear?
I think that Angron liked his sons that fought against him refusing to bend the knee to heresy, more so than the sons that turned against the Emperor with him.

@@vulkanofnocturne The man doesn't want to live anymore. For me it really speaks to his character the way that although he has the butchers nails and they torture and offer no peace, unless you go super sayian in your rage and hatred and slaughter anything you see that breathes, EVEN SO Angron chose to respect and even love his gladiator family, he wanted to die with them aside from his very instinct and nature (contorted by the butcher nails) to rip and tear. He could've been sooo much more, I would've loved to have seen a redemption arch for Angron, I hope they do something bigger with his character, he deserves it.
It was tragic for Angron here, thinking he was free, only to become Khorne's attack dog when the death he was owed was again stolen from him by Lorgar.
In my eyes, The real Angron died on Nuceria. A shell of what remained was the primarch of the XIIth, then he died again when Lorgar forced him into a daemon forever. The last ever chance at peace and freedom he would've ever get, stolen by his brother. Man really cant get no W
The world eaters can be summed up with "what would have happened if the Salamander had an absolute bastard as a father instead of Vulcan?" Literally most of the legion is just good dudes that wants to support and get close to their primarch... and they get nothing for it.

Every once a while in the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy, the Red Angel shines through all the blood and ash Angron shrouds him with. A slave to his past, a slave to his future, but every once an a while, the light of a free man beyond glimmers, just out of reach…
Angron grew up on a world built on complacency, fear, and blind obedience, did everything in his power to tear it down and experience true freedom, only to then get dragged into an entire empire embodying everything he had tried to destroy and more. In such a world, defiance is the only freedom, even if it ends in certain death.
Angron is a tragedy of epic scale, one which could have been prevented MANY times. From the moment the knife ears intervened, to the time the emperor could have saved not just Angron, but those around him as well. And to the final, truest moment of tragedy, when the one brother who was closest to him betrayed him most of all, stealing his freedom in death and turning him into a slave in demonic unlife.
