- yes yes, another declutter! this time, it's because I just moved and I need to fit everything into a smaller organizer. I also have felt less attached to makeup and find more joy in my absolute favorites! I still buy makeup and love using it, but I don't love buying as much as I used to. I hope this inspires you or is entertaining in some way, thanks for watching!

You have a lovely collection. It's so refreshing to see someone with a smaller collection doing a declutter. Usually it's someone with like 10 drawer units and they are hoping to get down to 8 or 9 lol. I still love watching those ones too, but yours was a very nice change of pace and more realistic to most people.
Minimalism is a process. It takes a few rounds of decluttering before you get where you want to be. I try to have only one of each category - for someone into makeup I have a very minimal collection but to ‘normal’ people, I’ve been told I have enough to open a store (but it’s really only one drawer).
I've declutter over 15 times at this point and each time I find something new to get rid of its so weird!

If you're a big makeup artistry hobbyist like me, I think it's best to get real with yourself about what you actually use, and what part of makeup you enjoy doing most. I had a huge collection of eye, lip, and face products, when I was only ever using the same couple lip and face products- I didn't even enjoy trying out new ones! I realized that the eye makeup part of makeup was the part that I enjoyed most, that fulfilled my creativity most, so I kept a larger collection of eyeshadow palettes, but greatly minimized the rest of my collection. Two years later, I'm having more fun doing makeup because my collection supports the part of the process that I love most, and because I feel less stress over owning, storing, and sorting through such a surplus.
I’ve also been trying to keep my makeup spending in check. I found that whenever I change up how I store my makeup, it helps me remember what I have and what I gravitate towards. Great video!

Girllll: take the broken Nars translucent powder (works for anyyyyy broken powder!!) and add a tablespoon of rubbing alcohol right to the compact with broken powder, let it absorb for like 2-3 minutes, smooth it out w/ a small spatula, take a tissue and fold it in half… lay it over top after all liquid is gone, and press it firmly into place, remove the tissue and let it dry opened on the counter for 24 hours and boom!! Brand new!! The alcohol will all evaporate and you’ll be left with a brand new product!! GAME CHANGER!!

It's a journey...Things I've decided to only keep one of ... Primer (hourglass), powder (Westman Atelier), glow product (Auric), cream bronzer (Charlotte Tilbury), powder bronzer (Gucci) and highlighter (Chanel Camelia). Also discovered I'm not a big eye palette gal...only quads and quints.
I decluttered mine like crazy a month ago! Now I only have about 9 palettes down from 40

I always have to ask myself when I get a new product: am I going to love this for the next 2+ years? Because unless it's a mascara or brow pencil... It will take that long 😬

it'll be easier to declutter once you get to know more about the expitarion dates. For example: foundations and concealers expire after 1 year... so just buy/keep any foundation/concealer you think you could finish in 1 year. Mascaras expire after 3 months and same with liquid eyeliners.
lipsticks and lipgloses last for 1 to 1 1/2 year. Powders can last up to 2 years (palettes, blushes, ..)
Etc, etc, etc...
Products have their own PAO (period after opening) labels.
There's a jar symbol with 6M/12M etc.
average of what I own;
Most Mascara says 6M,
Most doe foot concealers 6M
Doe foot eye primer 6M
(Seems there's a theme to the stuff that goes around your eye and is a dip product)
Most Powders 24M (Fenty says 12M For everything)
Foundation 24M
Pressed Powders can be disinfected with 70% isopropyl alcohol.
Be wary of liquids in Dip containers and loose powders.

I just did a declutter myself I don't wear much makeup anymore at least like I normally do. I did a declutter to rid of things I really use and only use and I was truly surprised and Satisfied with what I have🤎 and I gave away to people who cannot afford it especially the times we are living in💕💕🙏

You have a beautiful curated collection. It’s funny because my collection is too large, but a lot of your faves are mine and usually are the only ones I reach for. I try to reach for my more “neglected” products occasionally, but I’m not sure why any more, if I know what I like… I have a channel and want to have a well rounded understanding of different formulas but a lot of what I have isn’t necessary. Thank you for this. Very inspiring.
I used to buy loads of make up. Then i started getting lash extensions and stopped using eyeshadows...then i started new job, i have to wake up 6am and...straight away went minimalistic. I just use foundation, powder, blush, highliter and eyebrow pencil. Everything 1 piece only. I buy quality now,not quantity.
When I wore makeup to work and also my routine in general
My list was similar;
Primer
Foundation
Powder
Eyeliner
Mascara
Brow
Lipstick
Now I have a more complex collection (bronzer, highlighter, setting spray etc) but still small when I think about it.

I know you're fixated on the number of things but try to focus on how they make you feel and how often you use them. It's okay to have 1 of something or 10 of something as long as you use it and you're intentional with it 🥰

I feel you with the merit lip oil! It dries down after like 2 mins and looks weirdly satiny and not glossy. The formula is kinda thin and uncomfortable on my lips!

I did massive declutter omg all my make up fits in a travel organizer now . I have too much lip products but in max two years I'll own only my faves so I'll own less

I've started "shopping" at home. I have to much makeup, so instead of buying more I've started using what I have. If I find myself wanting to use something beyond the end, I take a picture of the packaging and save it to my future purchase list.
I've also started working with the products I don't "like." Meaning if it doesn't damage my skin or set off my allergies I keep trying to use it until I figure out how to make it look good. After two months I've finally started find my sweetspot. So I would suggest shopping at home and saving your money for future purchases.

It snaps in place, just feels a little wobbly. Not something too bad but I already don't love it so not for me sadly

I dont use too much makeup because I feel like my face is too thick when I do, so I just have one red lipstick, 1 rimmel, 1 powder and that's it xd My face hates foundation so I never use it sadly.
I know you made this comment a year ago but I used to feel that way and started using a tinted moisturizer from milani or just a concealer and they’re not as heavy as foundation
You don't have to use foundation or complexion products, I don't think it's sad. I used to use powder alone as well back when I couldn't find my foundation colours in stores. Powder is lightweight, very nice. Setting powders are also oil absorbing (some more than others) so they're great in their own for oil control.

The tower 28 IS AN SPF, not a tinted moisturizer. And it should be re-applied after 2hrs or spf should be reapplied another way. It won’t have a super long wear time bc it’s a TINTED SPF, not a tinted moisturizer.
I wear a separate spf underneath, so for me the T28 is a tinted moisturizer!
