This is what I think is a really real “minimal” makeup collection. It’s not just two products in each category, it’s great that some people can make that work but I truly love to experiment and try new things! As long as we continue to mindfully shop and aim to finish things up, I like to consider it minimal 😊🩷
I love how you worded this! I have so much fun with makeup and playing with all the pretty colors. 🥺 Mindful consumption and not being wasteful is always the goal though. Thank you for the nice comment! ❤️
I agree. My collection is similar. It's not as minimal as you described with having 2 products in a category. But, it's manageable enough that I can rotate through products and use the things I have. While also having enough to have options. It's maybe a bit bigger than I'd like to have, but, it works for me right now. There's nothing really obvious I don't want in it or don't see myself using.
I love your collection! It's not super minimal so you can have some fun, but it's also not super large and seems to be very well thought out. I can't wait until Merit finally comes to Australia (or decides to ship to Australia) so I can finally try the brand. They've got some gorgeous products.
Thank you!! I’m definitely learning what works best for me and slowly curating it, but I love to play with the colors! And I really do love a lot of the Merit products. Hopefully they’ll come to Australia soon so you can try them! 🤞🤗
Very nice……I too have sensitive skin and eyes and I use 100% Pure products, all fruit based. Great mascaras and I love their lip products. As far as eye primer, I use Alima Pure which is another great clean product. I have the Merit blushes in Cheeky, Beverly Hills and Stockholm and love them all. Their lip oils in Marrakech and Sangria are beautiful, so is their lipstick in Fashion.
Merit really nails their colors! Ooo I used to have an Alima Pure eyeshadow and liked it! I’ll have to look into their eye primer. Thanks for watching! 🤗❤️
what a lovely collection! ❤ my behavior towards makeup has changed a lot since the pandemic, as has my style! i now prefer a natural, simple makeup look over a full face. i became so overwhelmed with the amount of products i used to own! also, i had no idea i had so much expired products. my collection is a lot smaller now, but i sill have a couple of options for blush (my fave product everrr 😂) and its so nice to know what i have and be more objective with my choices. i don't waste time just choosing what color of whatever i'm gonna use. anyways, i loved this video! 😊
Thank you!! 🥺💕 And same! How I use makeup has changed soooo much since the pandemic. I definitely used it to hide before, and because I felt like I wouldn’t be taken seriously at work if I didn’t…it feels so much better to just have fun with it and not feel obligated to do a full face! And I feel the same about having less - it can get overwhelming to have too many options! It’s hard to let go of my blush and lipgloss though. 😅
I’ve found Laura Mercer to have great colors for neutral/cool skin tones imo- something to check out if you haven’t yet :) most concealers are too yellow on me too!
@@dicti0ncanary thank you for the tip!! I’ve only ever tried the Laura Mercier setting powder, but maybe this is my sign to branch out to their complexion products! ☺️
I was going to comment before you asked for concealer recommendations. I have the exact same skin tone as you and the tower 28 concealer in BU is a perfect shade match.
The Tower 28 concealer is my current favorite as it isn't drying on my under eyes. I'm pale neutral and so many lean more yellow/orange than I'd like. Pink tones are fine as they color correct a bit under my eyes
That’s great to know you like it! I think that one is definitely on my next-to-try list. And I find the same, my concealer that leans a little too yellow is actually great for color correcting dark spots 🙌
i have the merit eyeshadow too and i really love it but its getting dry and flaky ! its annoying cause i had it for only like 6 months or so ….. i very like the rare beauty brow gel too :)
@@samlab2935 oh nooo! That’s too bad. Mine still seem to be ok luckily🤞 I’m paranoid about accidentally leaving them open for too long 🥲 And I didn’t even realize rare beauty made brow gel! I’ll have to look into that one
I’m referring to the seasonal color analysis, which determines your undertone and which colors look best on you.😊 I’m a summer, so cool muted colors look best on me! I’m thinking of doing a video on how to find your own season soon…
They don’t sell this particular color highlighter anymore, but they replaced it with other colors. I highly recommend the merit highlighter though! I like it even more than the ilia 🫶
"I purchase makeup when I'm sad" is so real 😅
I’ve heard makeup sales go up when the economy is doing poorly, and I am living proof of that 😂

Exactly, if you’re using it all then what’s the harm in having some extra to play with? 💕
Yes yes, there are some who lightly enhance their beauty and others who simply want to have fun with makeup. 😊
This is definitely minimal babe, don’t stress haha, you’re definitely very mindful with your purchases! 💞
@@ashleenicovski6379 haha thank you! The more I declutter, the more minimal it becomes 😂🫶

I agree, some people are too minimal, which is fine if that’s what they like but if you love makeup like us then this is more realistic
I feel the same way about the Dior Lip Oil! I just leave it at home and stare at it on my vanity..😂
Omg totally! At least the packaging is doing the most so it will look pretty on your vanity 😂

Thank you so much! 💕 And thanks for the rec! I’m going to look into that one
