Just btw - kontomire is actually coco yam leaves ( the greens for a starch grown in Ghana). Spinach is typical diasporan replacement in Kontomire stew but it’s not the same thing.

OMG I just googled what coco yam leaves are and here in the Philippines they're called dahon ng gabi (taro leaves) we usually dry them and cook it in coconut milk and coconut cream and it's one of my favorite dishes (we call it laing). I will definitely try out Kontomire stew. By the way I'm half Ghanaian and half Filipino and to learn that both cultures cook the similarl ingredient is so cool to me. And no spinach is no where near the taste of taro leaves.
