I was out the same day you were. Hit Townsends Channel, Paddy’s hole and by the bridge. Nothing! Flew the skunk flag back to the slip.
It was horrible out there. All of the six pack charterboat captains got skunked as well.
I won't use spotlock at bridges. If the trolling motor loses it signal or its a gusty wind, it can drive you into the bridge. I keep the remote in my hand, bumping in and out until I hook up, and then I drift away to reel it in.
That was definitely a first for me!
