@@Arq-r4t Safety and better visibility. Once you use a really good system, everything else seems like it's not lit properly. Though in reality, even a decent LED set without this system works just fine
@@Geazbeat for which model Xenon are more expensive? There is ton of "logic" inside laser headlights (including bending), where Xenon has only (optional) bending. Also you can replace xenon lamp or ballast if faulty, what can be replaced in LED lamp?
We hade a 2970 passat r-line now we have passat gt executive edition. Its looks like our old passat bur much smarter it has all the latest tech. so its big diffrents.
i hope navigation version can upgrade this time.. my 2015 b8 highline still using 2015 version of the map (europe) and our vw service saying still cant upgrade version.. (with money or not they still cant) - i can download it on the vw web site and install with sd card but im scaring if i can broke navi system :(

Looks great! Except in America we have some stupid regulations for how bright the headlights can be. And I don't believe the full led matrix system is allowed in here. If someone can prove me wrong, that would be great because I do love matrix led headlights :)

Also, why is the US so obsessed with blinkers and turning off other necessary lights for this purpose? They literally allow vehicles to use the brake lights as indicators. Sounds legit.

The most annoying part about VW is that all this amazing safety features will actually not be available in other countries like South Africa. Currently driving the brand new VW Tiguan which was build from the new MQB platform that is actually supposed to come with... 1. Dynamic Light Assist (Which my one has the equipment but it’s not on the Infotainment) 2. Lane Assist (Which doesn’t have it at all) 3. Wireless Cellphone changer (Which only comes with VW Tiguans in 2019 only in South Africa, funny part is the salesman from VW was shocked to discover this as I showed him.) 4. Easy Access ( only has keyless entry) This is so disappointing even the VW Arteon doesn’t come with all its new exciting features, here in South Africa majority of these things don’t exist. I always ask myself, why buy this car without all these things, BMW & Mercedes Benz offer these things and better sometimes, for many years we still don’t have VW Carnet. While other car manufacturers use connected services for safety and general car maintenance status we are still lost in the 1960 where all the surprises will be discovered when it’s time for service (At the Dealership)
The thing i miss from pasat is that the back of the car is like a kinda bus while the early pasat ones had a kinda mercedes cla back that was going down ths qould have look better
this car does not correspond to class D. because it is built on a compact platform mqb, which is a related brand audi does not use in cars older than class C. if earlier passat was built on the basis of audi a 4 and Audi 80 and was a competitor to Audi, A4, now passat does not correspond to class D

The Headlights prevents other drivers only in auto mode. If you are in normal mode it makes other people blind :D
I used to drive a 1980 Passat in 1990 when I was only 12. I loved our Passat, now I want to drive this new one maybe someday soon inshaAllah.

I just know what a headlight of the new Touareg costs and thats 1900€. That's actualy pretty cheap... Xenon headlights are verry often more expensive.
