In case you would like to send me a couple of bucks to buy art supplies!!! paypal.me/tara...
I love seeing OPM (other people's messes)! And of course the after is fantastically fun too! ❤
Right? Seeing other people mess makes me feel so much better!
This would be my dream craft room.😊
Awwww this IS my dream craft room! I am so glad you like it!
Have you considered putting the two desks back to back?.
Lol, sorry. Your room feels like legos to me.
Isn't it fun thinking of all the Tetris ways you could lay it out! I have tried back to back and I don't use the second desk!!!
Wow, Tara!! And great job being brave to share all the before shots with all of us!! What a happy room to enter and work in now! And I spy “Kitty” before you went around and showed her….my goal is to find a place to put a cat and a dog bed in my craft room for both my pets - I would love to have them hanging with me with I work. Hopefully, you’re going to have time now to finish up the junk journal!! 😊
I just spend last week reorganizing all my stuff as well as purging never used items. Thank you for sharing yours and some of your storage ideas.
I feel like the new white cubbies in the closet could be turned 90*.
Also why didn't you turn the metal drawers on top of the black cubbies to face your work surface. Id just get irritated with all the getting up to walk around and open the drawer.
That is fair, BUT ribbons aren't something that I use often... now you have me thinking... I WILL turn those around!
Maybe you could move the desks together back to back, then you could reach the window ledge to put more things on, keeping the cat bed, of course; plus you'd be able to get to the bottom cubes that the desk is hiding on the bottom left.
I had thought of that, but I have the arm thing to make my videos that works and I am too lazy to find something else... hahaha!
Congratulations! I need to hire you!! My biggest issue is not enough tabletop space to go gel plate print and painting. Then storage of paints (which I need to stop buying!)
I was so surprised... while I did get box of donate and then two bags of trash, mostly it is just putting things into a place rather than purging. I would say that about 1/5 of my craft supplies are paint...hahahaha!
I would love to see if you purged any supplies, and if so, how did you decide what to keep. Great job!!
I purged "organizing solutions" like a paint spinner and long slotted white plastic things that I didn't like. I threw out anything that was dried out, but kept all the rest of my art supplies and just reorganized them!
It is a little hard to watch with how fast you move your camera. It makes me a bit nauseous, TBH.
I thought about that yesterday when I was filming… trying to do better going forward!
Love how it turned out! Now you can come to Clearwater and help me figure things out! 😂😂
Um... did you see the before? I am obviously not qualified to be a "professional organizer"...hahahaha!
@@TaraJacobsen - Mine is much worse!! 🤣🤣
You give me hope!
I was surprised it only took two days... I figured it would take a month!
Fabulous job! 👌 I just finished reorganizing my paper side of my studio. I feel much lighter. Now I have to tackle the fabric half. Uuugh! Good job, Tara 🙂 Happy New Year 😊 🎉
You can do it! Glad you liked it Robin!!!
Hi Tara!! WOW great job, your room looks amazing!!!! tfs
It is so fun to be in there now!!! and only took 2 days!
I would never be able to find anything again
How come?
@@TaraJacobsenBecause once you move things the mind wants them back where they were before and that's where you look. 😊
Instead of cubbies, I have plastic drawer units on top of banquet tables. All drawers are labeled and there is room under tables for large boxes that are labeled also. Could never figure out how to label cubbies that have 10 different items in it. Paper sorters from the thrift store also fit nicely on top of tables. Several bookcases hold over 100 photo boxes that are all labeled. Decided to number them and keep a master list of what is where. Might even number all the drawers before I am done. 😊
@@bethbenson1931 oh my gosh... that sounds amazing... and like you are WAY more dedicated to labeling than I ever will be!!! I have found that any system that requires labeling doesn't work for me!
@@TaraJacobsen Well, that's why there are all different kinds of people in the world. Your memory has to be really good. Mine, alas, needs help. Without labels, I would get so overwhelmed I would have to leave the room. Had to pack everything up for a move. Just hope my plan for the new room works as well as I think. It should, but we will see! You did a really good job on yours. Have a friend who offered to help me get my room back together at new place. That will help a lot. Take care and have a good 2024!
