I was stationed there in 1950-1951, I was in Co. C Most of this i did not recognize but I did go fishing out of Balboa harbor on a Commanding officer boat as a reward fishing trip. We spent loads of time in Ft. Davis and guard duty on Ft Sherman on the atlantic side. Good memories thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing. I wondered why they (Axis Powers) did not try and shut it down during WW2. I found that it was the most heavily defended place on earth back then. You were lucky to have done all that traveling. Have you written a book about your travels?
