- Welcome to another PHILLIPS FamBam Vlog..we take Elijah to the Ear Nose and Throat Doctor to check out his ear after his first ear surgery. It has been two years since his ear surgery but his tube fell out of his ear and now he has some fluid in his ear that is making it feel plugged. Come along as we take him to the ear doctor to check to see if he will need another ear surgery for tubes in his ear. He had surgery before because of fluid in his eustachian tubes. So we went to the ear doctor again to see if surgery was the only option...you will be surprised at what he says. The ear issues all happened on one of our busiest days as we were preparing for our Annual Ugly Sweater party...come along and see what else is going on with the PHILLIPS FamBam Family.

Late watching this but so glad Elijah doesnt need tubes again. I love the new couches and the livingroom looks bright with the white in the new rug and the white curtains.
Big lots has lower prices and furniture is really nice there, but you need to rent a U-Haul like Danny since they don’t deliver. What a cliff-hanger at the end, and now I’ll have to hold my excitement till tomorrow....have a great party! 🎊🥳🎉🥰

Nice furniture! I never had ear problems, but had horrible allergies and chronic sinus infections. I had sinus surgery a few years ago. It was so painful, but I’m so happy I had it done. I haven’t had any more allergy or sinus issues.
I give drs a 20 min window. If I am not seen I am out! My time is just as valuable

We have gotten our last two sets of couches at big lots. With little kids it’s the best way to go. Our first set lasted 10 years and we got them for under $600 total so it was a steal! Everything looks great!

Your new couches look GREAT! Right away, Elijah proved they're nap-worthy. I had a lot of ear infections when I was growing up. Enjoyed watching this! I never had ear tubes but I just had right sided cochlear implant surgery on September 6th though. I have always gotten in and out of Doctor's offices that I have been at recently and we are always there early since they tell us we have to be there 15 minutes before the actual appointment time but they usually call me back before my actual appointment or right on time, we usually only have to wait a couple minutes though. Before my right sided cochlear implant surgery I was at 0% hearing and when my Audiologist tested me for the first time after surgery on December 5th (5 days before my birthday) I was already at 68% hearing. Nice furniture, we have no carpet or rugs here.
I love the new furniture. I think that it would look amazing if you painted your kitchen cabinets white. Or white on top and gray on the bottom. It would be such a transformation. Merry Christmas!

I had the surgery to put tubes in my ears 3 times as a kid. I was ages 3, 6, 10. But now as an almost 30 year old my hearing is much better. I was told It will never be perfect but I can definitely hear more.
I just love your family. Well wishes for Elijah❤. My grandson is one and will be getting tubes soon🤞

I just lost EVERYTHING in the fire yesterday morning.... including my FamBam mug. It was at the Alpine Motel downtown on 9th St off of Ogden. Just made it out with my cellphone. Red Cross gave us a little money and wished us luck... Got a little clothes last night. The Big Lots on Boulder and Flamingo is going out of business. Everything is 30% off!
Keep on top of the ear troubles, as I lost my hearing in one of my ears because ear infections. The infections ate away all the hearing bones in my left ear. I have had multiple sets of tubes and everything!!!
I know what he is going through I had a total of 12 to 13 surgeries on my ears alone that involved 8 sets of tubes it’s sucks
I had to get my right ear flushed out last month and now I think I may have to go back to the dr to get my left ear flushed out when they did the right one they said they got 2 big size clumps of wax out of it.

I hate tubes in ears I been ear infections since I was 7 yr old now am 23 yr old I have had 4 Surgeries with tubes they are so tiny when they take them out I even had blood in both ear too from infections
I hate tests as well!!! Tests make me doubt wat I kno. If we are late at the doctors they don’t see u. If the doctor is late, it’s completely different.
I honestly feel bad for the kid I'm going through the same thing
I have chronic illness so I am at drs 2-3 x week, I wait usually no more then 3-5 min to see dr

My niece has furniture from Big Lots. It's really good furniture. When I was in school, I had a lot of anxiety when taking test. Merry Christmas and Happy New year too you guys!!!!! I had tubes in ears multiple times as a kid and twice as an adult. They used to fall out after swimming.

I’ve never had ear problems but I use a steroid nasal spray daily for bad sinus issues and it does help a lot
You should change the kitchen to white .. it will make a huge difference

My daughter had 14 ear surgeries. 12 sets of tubes and an ear drum patching and a ear drum replacement.. Ask your ENT for T-tubes not elbow tubes. T-tubes stay in longer.

My son had 4 sets of tubes as a child. And had a permanent hole in ear drum from all the bursts and scar tissue. My daughter had 3 sets. My kids didn’t sleep through the night for 5-6 years due to ear aches. I feel for u

Aww that’s ok. It is in our family genetics. My grand kids have much more minor issues. So maybe we can wean it out of hereditary

I take care of 4 elderly women with developmental disabilities and spend lots of time waiting in Doctor offices. Some are bette than others, but it seems like my time is somehow less valuable... specialty doctors seem to be the longest wait times though! Love the new couches 🥰 look forward to the big party too!!

Our red healer thinks he has to mark his territory anywhere our chawauwa goes ,including him . They can be outside all day and come in and go potty in the house, it's so frustrating.
I'm glad Elijah is probably not going to have surgery after all and Emsie is feeling better.

We never had a problem with peeing in the house until we got Benny. Now brocade they are both males they try and mark each other’s territory’s. Totally feel your frustration.
I had ear tubes put in few times as a child but now I just use ear medication drops when needed... I know one day I will need a hearing aids (hearing loss runs in my moms family) and I kinda don’t care cause they are super tiny these days and people don’t even see them when you have sort haircut!

Test anxiety is a thing
I see like 5 different specialists and a GP . And even here in canada you can wait. Longest I waited past an appointment time was for a pre op and we waited 6 hours past the appointment time because he had to deal with an emergency . But usually I've waited between 30 min to 3 hrs depending on the doctor

I love how excited and happy you are about the kids being in break! A lot of parents can be annoyed or just negative about having kids home for a long period of time, but you’re genuinely excited and it just makes me happy to hear!

I have a tube in my right ear. I’m 45 the first ENT kept putting a tube in about every year and a half finally after the second one as an adult I became frustrated and said there has to be a better option. Went to a different office and ENT But the same group. The second doctor said theirs different types. I’ve had my current tube for over 11 years. Not sure what type it is I believe it’s blue in color.
Everything looks great over there. The white table and frames will be great. I was happy to hear there is no need to rush into ear surgery right now. I will be looking forward to seeing pictures and perhaps video from your party. Until then please take care and God bless!

I am 33 years old and have an ear infection every other week and they cant do anything for me... my ear has ruptured 2 times and one more time and I will loss hearing in my left ear.. ear pain is no fun

My left ear has always been my problem ear to Elijah. The new furniture looks great. Each pet has their own personality like children.

I was the same way with test when I was in school. Mine was really bad. I don’t give my dog beds either because she has peed on everyone. And I don’t put cool little rugs in my room too because of that reason! I hope Elijah will be okay and hopefully he doesn’t need surgery!
I hope the spray works! The waiting at the doctors is always the worst. It depends on the specialist I see on how long I wait. Primary is usually an hour or less. Endocrinologist is also about the same, and so is neurologist. ENT is about 1.5-2.5 hours, ophthalmologist is 3-4 hours, cardiologist is about 4.5 hours. I’ve had over 30 surgeries since I was born and over half wert ear surgeries (I was born with small ear canals and chronic ear infections), so I had surgeries to get a type of Cochlear implants called the baha to help my bilateral deafness. Without these hearing aids on I can’t hear anything. I’ve had several surgeries on getting tubes in my ears since I was born so I totally sympathize what you guys are going through! Hoping for the best for Elijah!

So Danny to answer your question it really depends so like my dental/Otho dr are very unpredictable like 1 time we are there in and out really fast other times we have to wait for a really long time My primarily care doctor it depends on the type of appointment so like let say I go in there because something is wrong with me they will see me faster than if I am just there for like a wellness checkup my ENT doctor is probably the most crazy out of all of them that I can think off the top of my head so the past couple times I have been to the ENT we went to a location that was totally new to us in a lot of ways ( my ENT has multiple office locations ) so when I go to the Ent sometimes I may walk I’m and than within a few minutes be called back but actually waiting for the doctor is what takes the longest now I haven’t been to my Eye dr lately but I bet that takes a while to and also The ear trouble so I had Tubes in my ears when I was really little but I also have a problem call earwax build up so every time I go into the ENT I am going to get earwax taken out and it does not feel good But now I got a hole in one of my eardrums I don’t know if I have enough space to tell you about how we figure out that it was there please let me know by replying to this comment if you want to hear that story that would be great

I am sorry about the ear issues. I too had tubes put in and because I had them in when i was a little older i had a learning disability as a result that caused problems into my adulthood. I sure hope he doesnt have to have it put back in.
Danny, I used to work for a doctors office and typically the reason why they ask you to show up early for an appointment is due to paperwork and if there are issues with your medical insurance they can get it figured out before you go back to see the doctor.

I'm hoping the nasal spray does the trick Elijah! Love the new couches! They look very comfortable. We really could use a new set as well. Costco seems to be the only place here that has anything affordable. Perhaps the next time one that we like goes on sale.
I haven't really waited too long at the drs office they are pretty quick at getting me in and out, unless theres a lot of people. But other appts i have been to they are so slow usually wait 30 mins when I'm only getting a shot. What the heck!?

They can go in any time they want and leave any time they want unless they did something there not supposed to do then they sit in the crate with there heads down looking sad lol.
