I suffered from chronic ear infections when I was little. I had blue ear tubes put in when I was in kindergarten and it was a 1000000000000% worth it. They also took out my tonsils at the same time. The anesthesia was the hardest part from what I remember, being very tired and just out of it. Best thing my parents ever did for me. I'm in my 30's and I hardly ever have ear infections or sore throats. ❤a heart for Jackson for being super brave! Glad to a see he is doing better!
The way you described Jackson holding his ears makes me wonder if it was a lot louder than he was used too. Imagine it as if you were underwater for so long and then came up and everything was loud and clear.
"he's so resilient. He's a good little guy. We're proud of him" I have to say that touched my heart. Someday Jackson and Oliver will be able to go back and watch these videos and see just how loved they are. It's amazing ❤
Bless Jackson’s heart! Anytime kids come down from anesthesia, they usually wail and cry because it’s such a strange feeling. They’re not quite awake, but they’re not asleep. It is completely normal. Usually by the time they make it out to the car, they calm right down.
I'm so happy Jackson is doing good. It's hard to see our children not feeling well but again, I am so happy he is doing better. He is so smart and articulate. Great job parents.
It's been a while since I've watched you guys. And now I see Jackson displaying full awareness in his eyes. I think around 5 is when you start to accumulate a lot more memories and with that your sense if self develops a lot. It's fascinating seeing these slow transformations. And how Jackson is growing up. And the way he expresses himself through speech also took a leap. I've heard him using words I don't think I would by his age. I think that shows hiw much his parents talk to him. Which is, in my humble opinion, the result of excellent parenting. Jackson is brave by his own merits, but also because he's so confident that he's loved by his parents. That makes such a huge difference in anyone's mind.
Such great news that Jackson’s surgery went well! I work at a hospital in recovery and it’s very common for not only child but adults to cry or whimper when coming out of anesthesia. It’s very confusing and upsetting to wake up disoriented in a strange place. I’m sorry that it was so stressful for all of you. I pray that he’s on the mend very quickly. ❤
i have been watching your family since maybe ~3 months before you sold your first home, when Bandit was around always. your family has felt like love and acceptance to me in some times where i felt no one understood. thank you. ❤❤
So glad he is ok! To help you understand the crying when he was in recovery. My daughter had ear tubes placed and they warned that children coming out of anesthesia they usually cry and scream. Their bodies don’t understand the anesthesia and the feeling you get from it.
I am so glad that Jackson is doing better. My youngest son had to have 5 Strabismus eye surgeries as a baby starting at 14 months old. I have to say that the anesthesiologist is the most important person. The first surgery went very well. He woke up gently after surgery and was very calm through the whole recovery. The second surgery, we had a different anesthesiologist and it was horrible! He woke up quickly, yanked out his I.V. and wasnt able to get any pain medicine. He was frantic through the whole recovery time and was still screaming and flailing when they were sending us home. The third surgery, I talked to the anesthesiologist about the difference between the two recoveries, and I found out that this was the one we had from the first surgery and everything was calm and gentle again. That is when i realized just how valuable the anesthesiologist is.
The anesthesia effect happened to my son when we got crowns on some of his teeth at 6. He had the same anesthesia as Jackson but when he woke up, it was the same. He was crying and just overwhelmed with the strange feeling of anesthesia. It was so heartbreaking as a parent. But with a cold treat and an hour later or after a nap (his appointments were broken up in two appts) he was back to himself again. Way to go, Jackson! He did so great!
You both did so well! Good job Mom and Dad!! Some times I think it is tougher on the parents!! Jackson is a champ!! Gets it from his parents! Thanks for the vlog and showing "your real" because you're real.
Omg Jackson is the best. Love him so much for being so strong. I have 3 kids, but didn't have to have them go through this surgery. So Tim and Jenn props to you for being amazing parents ❤️
He is so brave, he really is. You should be very proud of him. Also, all these comments of genuine love and concern must warm your hearts-you are ALL truly loved, Tracker family! 💛
Yea I’ve gotten ear tubes in for the third time and the third recovery was not fun on day 3 of the recovery my throat was hurting so much that I didn’t want to take medicine
We are doing tubes for our 6 year old next week. I personally love that you informed him ahead of time. Good job mom and dad. Hope J is feeling better already!
Jackson is the sweetest little soul. I'm so happy to hear his ear tube procedure went well! Hopefully this is the only time he'll have them. I suffered from a lot of ear infections as a kid and had to have tubes several times. The procedure itself is daunting because of the anesthesia, but when they take them out it's super easy and can be done by your normal doctor (at least that's what they did when I was a kid, it was just an office visit I think). Also, I love his glasses!
My girls are 13 and 10 years old, and I still love it when they spend time together. I always took pictures of them playing together like you described, Tim. It’s the best feeling. They fight some but are usually superb together 95% of the time.
since i was little i got diagnosed with problems absorbing iron and protein so i had to get so much blood work and tests done, my dad start buying me littlest pet shop toys so i had a little bud with me cheering me up, i eventually got more than 150 from procedures and test and more from just collecting but those little friends meant i was brave a lot of times and eventually a really big brave collection, my dad made it so much better for me and you're making absolutely a great job with jackson
Poor Jackson 😢. It breaks my heart into a million pieces when a child is in pain and crying. Jackson is truly is a champ! Glad he's doing better!! His parent's are the greatest!!!! ❤ And Oliver is getting so big!! I still can't believe how far your family has grown over the years!! Love you guys!
I've been a pediatric ICU nurse for 37 years and taken care of countless children thru the years postoperative. Anesthesia emergence happens so very often and can be troubling for parents because there's no consoling your child. It just has to run its course. Is that Nemours Childrens? I've only ever worked in large children's hospitals and my old director left where I worked years ago help start up that hospital. They sound like a wonderful place. Glad Jackson is on the mend.❤
I’m so glad his surgery went well and that he’s healing. Crossing fingers that there’s no more ear infections! 🤞🏻💜 It’s so stressful when it’s your small child having to go in for medical procedures because you’re not really sure what they do and don’t understand about what’s going on and there’s only so much you can do as a parent to explain it. 💜
Aww so glad Jackson is feeling better now, bless him, nothing worse than seeing your child in pain and you can't help. I remember my son having his tonsils taken out and the morning after was awful, they didn't warn us about that either! Good job Jackson, and Tim and Jenn you did it!! ❤❤❤
as a child who was besties with the ENT, didn't get my tonsils out until I was 11 & had experienced massive blockages, well done for getting onto it whilst he's young. so happy he recovered so fast. also, loving Oliver just quietly hitting milestones in the background & being so independent now 😊
Praying everything went well and he is doing better each day. Praying for him.. what a good boy and he was so brave ... helping him prepare is key. What a handsome little boy with his glasses.
oh...sweetheart...hope your son feels better. I have a child with crhonic condition, It is painful for us parents with broken heart. Keep up the amazing work guys...and Hugs to the baby!💕 wishing him speedy recovery
I understand the feeling of helplessness when your young child is coming out of surgery with anesthesia. It’s hard. So proud of all of you! And so very glad Jackson is doing well now. Praying for a speedy recovery! 💚
Even I wail and cry when I get out of surgery and they wake me up. I'm always so sick afterwards from the anesthesia, so I hate it! Well done, Jackson! He really is a brave kiddo! I hope everything will be much easier for him now. Well done to you to, Jenn and Tim. As a mom myself, I can only imagine how scary and overwhelming it can be. There was a chance my daughter had to have surgery on her skull when she was about 6 months old because her fontanel(that soft spot in the skull) was closing too soon, so they monitored her closely for months, but thankfully a surgery was not needed, because if it was, she would've had to have that same surgery but reversed at age 12, so...I was so scared when we were waiting for that verdict. Forever grateful she didn't need the surgery. She has been in hospital a few times because she always got dehydrated so quickly when she got sick. She was so small and always had very high fevers when she got sick(and she got a lot of respiratory infections), it was always so scary and you feel so helpless and useless as a parent in that moment. But now she's a healthy 14yo teenager who is proud of who she is and I couldn't be more proud of her because she has been diagnosed with Autism and ADHD but that diagnosis only made her stronger and more confident! She has had a few difficult years and she struggled at school, but she keeps on surprising us all every year. It's amazing how kids sometimes just seem to walk through hard times as if it were nothing. I think sometimes, we as adults, can learn a lot from them too! Hope Jackson is completely ok now and his tubes are doing what they are supposed to do. Hope you are all doing ok over there! sorry for this long comment... I always do that 🙈 I just don't have anybody to talk to, so this feels like talking to a friend, hope you don't mind, because I know you read all the comments... ok I'm gonna stop nagging now🙈🙊
I'm so glad Jackson is doing well. I had my first surgery when I was 30 and I was terrified. I couldn't imagine what your little one felt at the hospital. His glasses look great! Lots of new things for the little guy. I'm sure he'll perk up very quickly.
It’s really nice that you guys prepared him so well. I had a lot of health issues as a kid and went in knowing little to nothing and as an adult I get very anxious about medical procedures or visits and doing tons of research helps ease the anxiety.
Happy to hear everything went well. It's so scary when kids wake up after anesthesia and they're upset and confused. My 16 yr old woke up from wisdom teeth removal fully crying and I thought he was in pain, I lost it. Thankfully it was just a mix of emotions brought on by the drugs. I know Jackson will do so much better with the tubes in now!
When my son was 5 he had hernia surgery and I felt the same way watching him wake up from anesthesia. It was just heart breaking. I’m sorry you guys had to deal with it. So happy buddy is ok ❤
I had the same surgery when I was about his age because of chronic ear infections. I’m in my 40s now. All is well. Glad all went smoothly with you all.
Our son got tubes at 16 months and by the day after his surgery he was 100% and “chatting” way more than he was before. Best thing we ever did for him. Helpful tip.. ear plugs and a headband for the pool!
This kid man.. has no idea how intelligent and strong we see him!! Listening to the recent podcast I was already thinking man Jackson is so advanced for his age and just seeing him over come this, dude he’s a little superhero! You are such a great mom Jenn and such a great dad Tim! ♥️ healing our parent wounds one video at a time 🥹
Proud of You Jackson !! My grandson had tube surgery at 20 months and he was hysterical when he woke up and stayed that way for almost an hour. Then after a nap he was fine. And he hasn't been sick hardly at all since the surgery. Before he got tubes he was sick constantly.
I remember when I had a leg surgery back in 2018, I had the same pain. But the next I was feeling better? Thank god that Jackson is recovering I love you Jackson feel better! soon
Way to go Jackson! Watching this brought back all the memories of my experiences! You mentioned the scent for the mask and to this day I can still smell that🤢. In my experience (I’ve had probably 10 sets or more in my 30+ years), my ears didn’t hurt after but it was the sound difference that bothered me for several days after. It took some time for my ears to adjust to the levels I was supposed to be hearing at. Good luck Jackson and hopefully this is the only set of tubes you’ll need!!
Im glad for Jackson that surgery went well. Hope the tubes help him. I don’t have kids of my on, so i don't know how it feels to wait and feel helpless during the recovery. I think y'all did goid. Jenn being with Jackson and holding him after, was the best you could do. I had surgery on my arms when i was 16 years old, i had an accident sliding into a old glass door window, and it was the worst memory. However, I know that even though i was in pain after surgery and couldn't move my arms for a month, I know that was realky glad my woukd hold me when i cried in pain and frustration, and My Mom helped me through it. The best thing a Parent can do for their chikd is hug and hold them when their chikd needs it, no matter how hold thye are. Hope Jackson continues doing goid and tubes help him. Thanks for sharing all this. I'm sure it helos orher parents. Be Safe Take Care 😊❤❤❤❤
We forget how resilient children are. Our anxiety probably tranfers to them but what they don't know bounces off. So happy he is doing well. He needs to stay sharp with Oliver coming up fast behind him. Two very smart young boys. 🙏💖
I just had a major surgery last month. (I’m doing great now) The absolute worst part of that day was during recovery!! Totally surprised me. I was in pain in places that didn’t make sense and I was in a fog. I’m pretty sure I screamed a few times. I remember feeling like I couldn’t open my eyes. Those drugs mess with your brain!! I’m sure you were right Jen, Jackson probably didn’t have the words to describe it, I’m not sure in my fifties that I do!! I’m so happy to see him doing well. Much love to you all 🥰
Oh man I know Jackson's pain! I've gotten Ear tubes twice in my life as a kid and at first it was very uncomfortable because everything was so loud, and honestly I had to hold my ears too just like jackson, but he'll slowly grow a tolerance to the loud noises! and the pain will go away very soon :)! Also I recommend avoiding swimming underwater, because it was sometimes a little painful getting water in my ears! Also they sometimes fall out, but doctors can easily just get tweezers and put them back in! I know Jackson will get through this because he's a strong little man 💪
I had two sets of ear tubes and also had my adenoids removed when I was a kid. I don't remember much about either surgery other than that I was terrified the whole time regardless of who tried to comfort me, and the surgeon thought it'd be fun and cheery to wheel me down the OR while singing "zip-a-dee-do-dah" and it definitely did not help. So much so that I've actually held a grudge with that song my whole life 😂 while I have new ear issues as an adult, the tubes definitely helped me when I was growing up and I only had one or two ear infections post tube surgery. Anesthesia emergence definitely does suck, but I'm so glad to see/hear how well Jackson did! He's such a brave little buddy💙
My son just had hernia surgery, so I know the littles and their cuddles were so important. Keep him smiling and happy you guys are doing great. Don't let the negative comments get to you. Keep it moving, keep it positive, love your videos ❤❤❤❤
I’m almost 52 now but when I was Jackson’s age I had tubs put in my ears and I remember the hearing tests I had to do … eventuakky, as I got much older, the tubes “fell out” I was told and they helped me tremendously … Jackson is a good kid and they’ll help him as he gets older. It’s a pretty common procedure these days
Get well soon Jackson i had to get tubes also because of chronic ear infections having to wear ear plugs going swimming and everything like that y'all are doing a good job with him love y'all so much
I’m so thankful he’s ok. When my kids came out of ear tube surgery they were very agitated and crying and out of sorts. That is the effect of the anesthesia, is is very hard to witness. I’m so glad he’s home and feeling better.
How wonderful for Jackson and you guys🥰! I hope this gives him great relief. Such a big thing to go through for all of you. Well done!! Also Jackson's glasses are so adorable! I still remember getting my glasses for the first time and what a difference it made. Now he looks extra smart and stylish.🤩
Sounds like he was braver than I was and I was 14 when I got mine. I cried the entire time. They had a nurse who has to keep wiping my tears during surgery so they wouldn’t go into my ears.
Thanks for sharing. Both of our Little guys have to have the ear tubes done and our oldest also needs tonsils done. We are on the fence about tonsils but on board for ear tubes to help with constant ear infections, speech issues and congestion. Our wait is 11 months from diagnosis. Greatly appreciate your video showing how it all went for Jackson.
Glad Jackson is doing better! When my son had his tubes done he was one and he cried right after he was holding his ears as well so i totally understand how you felt . You do feel helpless. But im glad he’s doing good!!!
Glad he is doing better. I had tubes when I was Jackson's age. 1000% worth it, before the tubes I was 70% deaf with the amount of water I had in them. I also don't get ear infections anymore. I don't remember coming out of Anesthesia.
Glad to see Jackson recovered from his ear tube surgery quickly. We call them grommets in the UK 🇬🇧. You would probably have to wait much longer than 5 and a half months on the NHS.
I'm so glad he is feeling good, great job mom and dad. We used to be able to take our kids into the OR and be with them until the fell asleep. (pre COVID). It is very traumatic watching your children going under. Did it 6 times with my daughter and 3 times with my son. Since COVID we haven't been able to go into the OR. My daughter had so many ear infections when was little she ended up with a Cholesteatoma , it's a never ending battle and hearing aid for the rest of her life now. Keep an eye on the ear infection, you guys are doing a great job.
I'm so glad Jackson's surgery went well, but I felt so bad that he had a tough recovery. It was great to see him back to his normal self. His glasses look great!!! Oh, and thanks for saying that his mouth was blue because of the popsicle - I had noticed it but I thought it was just my eyes deceiving me. 🙂
Poor buddy. There's really no easy way to describe anesthesia to someone who hasn't had it- I can only imagine how difficult it must be for a child. Plus everyone reacts differently. I've had a handful of surgeries over my life (as a kid and an adult) and reacted differently every time (either like the typical ridiculous funny post anesthesia and then a reaction similar to Jackson the last time I had to go under). Glad he's feeling better and being such a trouper!
My daughter went through similar with anesthesia 2x. The 2nd time she was about 18. It does not get easier for the mom. Glad Jackson is feeling better. ❤
I suffered from chronic ear infections when I was little. I had blue ear tubes put in when I was in kindergarten and it was a 1000000000000% worth it. They also took out my tonsils at the same time. The way you described Jackson holding his ears makes me wonder if it was a lot louder than he was used too. Imagine it as if you were underwater for so long and then came up and everything was loud and clear.
As someone with several sets of tubes I agree with this! A bit sore and then so, so loud. It is overwhelming and uncomfortable.
"he's so resilient. He's a good little guy. We're proud of him" I have to say that touched my heart. Someday Jackson and Oliver will be able to go back and watch these videos and see just how loved they are. It's amazing ❤

Agreed! That's just what I was going to say! 😁
I'm so happy Jackson is doing good. It's hard to see our children not feeling well but again, I am so happy he is doing better. He is so smart and articulate. Great job parents.

RN here. It can take up to 24 hrs for anesthesia to leave the body. Jackson and parents did great!🥰
Great 👍
Jackson is BRAVE especially being in with all the other kids crying-that alone can be upsetting not knowing why they are crying.
Jackson has been such a brave little boy so happy all went well and he is feeling better

I appreciate the vlog because it shows how a child may actually react to the procedure. I am glad Jackson is doing well.
I’m so glad Jackson back to normal. Literally crying and nervous my son going to go through the surgery soon he’s almost 1 year old.

I just love how Jackson studies his new hot wheel. So detailed. Very cool
Praying everything went well and he is doing better each day. Praying for him.. what a good boy and he was so brave ... helping him prepare is key. What a handsome little boy with his glasses.
I love a home vlog. Glad Jackson is feeling better. hopefully there's no more pain. It's hard to be a parent and watch your baby be in pain.

What a brave little boy. All in all I thought everything went very well. Glad that Jackson feels better.
This kid man.. has no idea how intelligent and strong we see him!! Listening to the recent podcast I was already thinking man Jackson is so advanced for his age and just seeing him over come this, dude he’s a little superhero! You are such a great mom Jenn and such a great dad Tim! ♥️ healing our parent wounds one video at a time 🥹
He’s going to feel so much better.. bravo Jackson 🎉
Proud of You Jackson !! My grandson had tube surgery at 20 months and he was hysterical when he woke up and stayed that way for almost an hour. Then after a nap he was fine. And he hasn't been sick hardly at all since the surgery. Before he got tubes he was sick constantly.
I’m glad it all went well! Jackson looks super cool in his new glasses! 💙
Hope Jackson does well and recover fast, you can do it buddy. Jackson looks cool in his glasses
When I was around Jackson’s age I got ear tubes too. I remember how much it hurt. My thoughts are going out to Jackson!
Get Well Soon Jackson 🥰
I love that hospital, I've been going since I was 12 and they really know what they're doing... I recommend them for just about anything
So glad Jackson is doing well now, and you all are too.
Wishing Jackson a speedy recovery and blessings to you all 🙏
I remember when I had a leg surgery back in 2018, I had the same pain. But the next I was feeling better? Thank god that Jackson is recovering I love you Jackson feel better! soon
I’m not even the whole way through the video, but I had to stop & comment how brave Jackson is and how adorable he is in his new glasses! ! 🥰😎🤩
After having a procedure I also cried as a grown woman. It’s a normal effect after anesthesia. It really sucks. All positive energy 🫶🏽
Hugs to mum and dad!
My daughter needs sleep dentistry..
I hate putting her under every year or so.
JACKSON YOU ROCK!
Tubes really are life changing and we’ve done them twice and wouldn’t change a thing!
Good job, Jackson, you were so brave! You did it!
Much love to you all 🥰
Yay Jackson on being such a big kid! Glad everything went well.
I hope Jackson has a feels better and has a fast recovery ❤ Love you guys!
Such a big guy now!! Love the new glasses!! Prayers all goes smoothly!
To me, his speech is really noticably clearer💗🙋
My son just had hernia surgery, so I know the littles and their cuddles were so important. Keep him smiling and happy you guys are doing great. Don't let the negative comments get to you. Keep it moving, keep it positive, love your videos ❤❤❤❤
I’m almost 52 now but when I was Jackson’s age I had tubs put in my ears and I remember the hearing tests I had to do … eventuakky, as I got much older, the tubes “fell out” I was told and they helped me tremendously … Jackson is a good kid and they’ll help him as he gets older. It’s a pretty common procedure these days
Love the “All in all” merch shirt. Already ordered mine. ❤. Glad Jackson is doing so well. It’s so hard on parents when your baby doesn’t feel well.
We’re trying 6 weeks of Flonase first, but we may need to get tubes in the end. Jackson did such a great job… and much applause for Mom and Dad!
Glad Jackson is better sending your beautiful family a bug hug 😊
Glad Jackson is feeling better
Sorry Jackson had to go through that pain, but I am so glad he’s doing great now. ❤
Glad Jackson is doing better! When my son had his tubes done he was one and he cried right after he was holding his ears as well so i totally understand how you felt . You do feel helpless. But im glad he’s doing good!!!
Hello from Chattanooga Tennessee. Tell Jackson glad he's doing better. 😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
That's a fancy hospital. Jackson looks like he did so well. Brave little man...
Hoping that his health improves due to having the tubes put in. ❤
I’m so happy the surgery went well, bless little Jackson - it must have been a scary stressful time for you all. Oliver is doing so so well ♥️ xx
I have to say - the fact that Jackson was so confident going in really speaks to your secure attachments and healthy trusting relationships with him.
Absolutely amen. If I ever become a parent, I hope to be half as great as they are. 🫂💖
Absolutely! I really aspire to be parents like them ❤
What a sweet, brave boy! ❤❤❤❤
Love your videos. I had really bad ears as a child. Jackson was a very brave boy.
Get well soon little buddy ! 💪🏾
Finding that special car was meant to be! Glad Jackson is feeling better! BTW I’m an adult and I too cry after anesthesia.
