I think all these turbo charged 4 bangers would do fine for off roading, but Chevy putting them in half tons and expecting them to be used for real towing really calls into question the longevity of a over worked engine
My job has a eco diesel sierra we did a lift and tire and the front bumper winch. Runs good,with descent fuel economy, but once you Toss a trailer on it it goes down quick
Great point about added weight, but the new Land Cruiser will still be more fuel efficient than a Bronco or Defender. Most buyers will get the Land Cruiser to drive to their local Starbucks. 😂
LEXUS GX550 is just the Land Cruiser 200. Same size. 35 less HP 80 more lbft of torque, but same lenght, same width. the new "land cruiser" is just the old GX. so lame.
I think you are right about the power of the 4 cylinder turbo, but the extra boost from the 2 electric motors should really make a difference.

Ya I could never imagine driving a full sized truck with a v6 I just fell like they were always made to have a v8
