I sold mine and now you've made me want one again :) I love the analogue version (I have 3) but I do miss the GWF-1000 that I sold. I like that the '1000' is one of the most asymmetrical of the Frogman watches. Thanks for the video.
Noooo, why did you sell it?😭 Just giving you a hard time. If you get the chance to get another one I hope you take advantage of the opportunity. I see the need for the A1000 analogs, but I hope the metal/digital Frogman continues to be a permanent member in their catalogue. To me it as always been the epitome of everything that G-Shock stands for. Thanks for watching as always 🤘
Haha I saw you post on my analogue video of my unboxing video (wild about watches this my camping channel too lazy to switch back lol) and I fear that this one may have dropped into my ebay basket lol bugger 😆 someone did say this addictive 😆 the description says USB surely not? Nice video to the producer 👌
Thanks a million! This is so helpful as I recently purchased a GWF-1035F-1 and was looking for ways to replace the band with conventional 22mm / 24mm straps. This is really helpful!
did the NATO make it fit your wrist any better? wearing the Frogman I feel like I can slide a pencil under the corners where the strap meets the watch , on the other hand my Mudmaster fits like a glove but that style strap would not fit on a Frogman, posted a year ago so I'm late to the party but checking if you had any thoughts on it
Beautiful measuing tool, a real digital masterpiece.....personally i can't decide do i like more Frogman or Gulfmaster. Maybe Gulfmaster...because as i'm going older i'm pulling on the analog side. JaysandKays adapters are great quality, the best....i'm going to change my watch right now, i'll take my G shock right now just because of this video. I think that it's impossible to make better tool with a digital output. It looks like a tank because it is a tank. Great watch Simucom, great video Like
The Gulfmaster is great too. I prefer the Frogman but that's all personal opinion. Both are fantastic watches in their own way. The Frogman is a ballistic missile nuclear submarine 😁
Those Jay's kays look good. Are they usa based. Is the GWF 1000 different to the D1000, Will those lugs fit the GWG 2000? Nice video as I said below Tony
I know Jays and Kays is a US company, however I do not know if their products are made in the US. the GWF1000 lug adaptors are actually for the 9400 Rangeman. This was a workaround recommended by Jay's and Kays. They will NOT work with the GWF-D1000. I do not know if they will work with the GWG2000. I recommend emailing Jays and Kays directly (they are very responsive). Thanks for watching.
It should have had a depth meter for actual diving though?? I was hyped for taking this on some free diving but that made me skip trying to find one. Made it feel like a poser watch.
Which one, the A1000(Analog) or D1000(digital)? I have the D1000 ordered, should arrive by the end of the month so I'll be able to give an answer then. Based on what I've seen I can reasonably predict that the D1000 is a homerun and fantastic evolution of the Frogman. As far as the A1000, to be honest I don't care. I will never be a fan of the analog Frogman, nor will I be a fan of the carbon core case. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer old school metal and digital over modern carbon and analog.
No doubt, it is an iconic watch. The asymmetrical shape of the body of the watch is a body-language by itself - a frog :) ; a very tough one. 2:15 - Very nicely done graphical representation. 5:52 - A toothpick with an university degree in screwdriving probably? :D 6:36 - I would try adding dampers to the screws to compensate the left-right play/wobbling. For example cuttings of Teflon tubbing or a similar material. 9:19 - The strap matches very well the color of the display in my opinion. 10:19 - Agreed. The nato strap completely changes the look and feel of the watch on the wrist. 11:36 - You forgot to mention the sea water and the humid salty air, though :D NaCl in the sea water shortens their lifespan significantly. Example (DW-5600): th-cam.com/video/CVpcX_liMAA/w-d-xo.html If the greatest fear of the all-mighty Frogman straps are the dishwashing detergents, then "One Door Away From Heaven" (copy-catting the Dean Koontz's book title). 12:54 - Super cool idea with this flashlight LED. Hope it has some water resistance too - not a Frogman level one, but some. 13:39 - Considering the heart-attack-inducing price of the watch and the overall change of the look of this specimen achieved... Well spent money, Sir.
I was considering dampers or rubber gaskets of some kind. For now it's fine as the performance and wear of the watch is not impacted at all. Once the NATO strap is on you can not tell that it is even an issue unless you knowingly force it to move.
Appreciate the positive feedback. To turn on/off the auto EL hold the light button for 3-5 seconds and you will see the auto EL indication appear/disappear

Glad I could help, and great pick up too🤘
Introducing spring bars really weakens the strap watch interface. Had a NATO on mine for a while but used the resin connectors.
I got the GWF-1000 after your original review and the 2 year follow up. I’ve had it for 6 months now, and now I don’t want to wear anything else!
Hell yeah, that's awesome bro. Excellent choice, and one that's hard to beat.
Love it....frogman..

Blade Runner hell yeah haha, i was thinking the exact same thing when i bought mine recently 😁
Men of culture, we meet again🍻

Does look awesome!!
🤘😁🤘, I've been wearing it pretty much every day since.
Cool
I look forward to your "cool" comments. They provide a stability and a reminder that all is right in the world.

How's this compare to the new frogman
