The dive function on this watch is super useful for EMS. Being able to log start time/stop watch and have it be recorded into memory of the watch is extremely useful.
My GWF-1000-1JF just arrived from Japan. Thank you for the excellent tutorial as I have yet to fully learn Japanese kanji, hopefully someday. What an incredible tool!
Amazingly comprehensive review. You give Greg from the good timekeeper channel some real competition when it comes to detailed instructions. Much appreciated.
Love this watch soo much it’s the perfect g shock tough as nails and reliable. I do wish the readout numbers/time was much bigger however x. And I set the WT to my own city as I find that functional useless and often confusing if/when a button gets pressed accidentally x. But this is a superb watch overall it’s been a daily work for almost 14 years and flawless including diving, climbing running working everything and I’m not gentle
I just received this watch ( in pink) from ebay ( excellent feedback) and the solar battery is so low that nothing works . From what I have read , should I put it outside now in direct sunlight ? How will I know if the watch is working ? How many hours would you say it takes to get even a low or medium indicator ? This is my first solar watch so Im not experienced with these. Thank you for any help .
I just had a question with my frogman GWF 1000 1JF, I manually received it. It successfully connected and shows the G in the little window. About two minutes later it disappeared for no reason, why would that be? Could it be I changed my world time/dst setting? Also can you quickly go back to the time screen like with other g shocks? Or only quickly go to dive time?
yes, if you go into world time/dst setttings the "rcvd" icon dissapears as the watch thinks you changed your time zone, or dts setting and it doesn't know if it displays correct time
Just got this today from Japan and went through every home city and I still can't get into the GET screen. I also can't seem to make the bottom right (forward) button to work when in the mode or adjust screen as well. Any thoughts? Might have a faulty watch here.
Dear Marin, the key factor in syncing is orienting the watch toward the transmitter. I'm affraid that presnce of a metal bar nearby has no effect really. Great watch! Cheers!
Hi, Guys I recently bought this one and it refuses to recharge on the sunlight, the screen always appears very weak. I’m very disappointed. Anyone can help me?
Sounds like battery gone bad. Try get it replaced by casio, because that screwed down back face is super tight. From my understanding, these batteries can go bad if: 1. left at low charge for too long. 2. you fluctuate the battery capacity for too frequent (low to high to low and so on).
@dusank774 I'm on the point of buying one ..i have my doubts between the gwf 1000 and the d1000...why do you prefer the d1000 if i may ask greetings from holland
@@antoine-ramonkortzorg8755 Superior display - d1000 uses STN, not problem reading it at angles. I much prefer small tide graph window on d1000 as you can set it to show day of the week, it’s more subtle. d1000 has a sapphire crystal, I mean all frogmen should have that imo. d1000 has a robust CF strap as opposed regular resin one on 1000. Then you have all that jazz - compass, depth meter, temp sensor. However for maintenance, cleaning, bezel change etc, d1000 is a bitch to disassemble - one needs to be careful not to bend button shafts when removing bezel. 1000 is much much better in this regard, so easy to change everything. Still pisses me off that Casio did it like that with d1000. Overall both of them are solid watches, as I said in original comment, can’t go wrong with any frog.

The last three versions of the Frogman, including this one, have been fantastic. Grab them when you can guys.

Nice vid! Very high tech! I thought it had a depth gauge feature too. Cool watch!
Are there any watches besides Timex with Tide, Temp and Compass complications? So frustrating I can’t get all three! Great vid thank you 🙏
The gwn-1000 Gulfmaster does all those!

Hi, no possibility to go to the home screen fast, only dive time mode..

Was it faulty? In order to recieve atomic time you have to choose a city within the atomic tower singal range
Bonito reloj Casio. 🤩🤩⌚️⌚️

It has a similar look and functions has my GW 7900 1ER which I like very much
The GWX-8900, GW-7900, GW-9110 and GW/GWF-1000 all share the same functionality.
Nice video. Please make a review and tutorial on Casio Protrek PRW 6900
i prefer the d1000 over this but you cant go wrong with any frog... even the analog one has grown on me...
