I used to have a 2021 the exact car 2.0 touring Loved it . Got a hybrid touring I just installed my uniden R8 The red wire goes to the brown wire The black to black obviously I originally connected the red wire to the pink iesh wire that wire is a Constant on wire then my rader wouldn’t turn off . If I did it anyone can Also you need to use super thin wires Very easy Now I have a wireless radar Much better looking .
Thanks! It would have been much more helpful if you actually showed the removal of the cover and exposed the wiring harness, A picture is always worth a thousand words! How is your detector mounted at the top of the windshield? Is it on a suction cup or what?
It is the small double suction cup mount that came with the Uniden R7 / R8. It was easier to mount it close to the headliner although it does limit me from being able to fold the sun visor down further than 90 degrees
Hi Teri - couple of reasons, I like it up high so it isn't in my view, also when I park I can easily fold down my sun visor and it helps hide the detector from easy view.
Where does your screwdriver or your tool to pop it loose? Where do you stick it between a headliner in the mirror or at the base of the mirror? The plastic piece
You don't have to use a screwdriver to pop the cover loost. Just squeeze it from the bottom of the cover and then lift up toward the headliner and away from the windshield.

Hey Jarrod my power wire switched was brown and I found that detail on another forum online. Sorry you might have luck if you search hybrid Accord. My is also a touring model not sure if that matters but it does have the rain sensor for the automatic wipers behind that same plastic cover.
Lol no i didn't think about the video until after i did the install. Taking the cover off is easier than i thought when you just gently squeeze up from the bottom of the cover toward the roof. The wiring harness I describe is easy to spot

On my 2020 touring the power wire is the RED wire. Just in case those with 2020 needed to know why the brown wire does not give power during startups.

May I ask why you mounted where you did instead of below the mirror? Less obstruction for your view?
