Perfect timing! I was just setting my goal of 2023 to go to South Dakota! Where did you sleep, did you camp or Airbnb?

We actually stayed in the local hotels! South Dakota has a ton of haunted hotels that are super fun themed!

Hi wonderful video again . We are planning to visit mount rushmore. How many minutes do we have to walk from parking lot to mount rushmore site. Is this just about the carvings of faces on the ricky mountain or is there something else to see in this mount rushmore attraction?

Loved the tour/video! Looking to go in Late August. We are not a young couple (mid 60's), so some of the strenuous hikes would be out, especially for my wife.

Hey there! I just wanted to let you know that there are several great activities that they didn’t mention in this video. Here is the list: Angostura Reservoir is one of the the largest lakes in the Black Hills! It is very relaxing, underrated, and very beautiful. Next there is the rest of Wind Cave National Park. They have vast prairies and forests with beautiful hiking trails! Next would be the town of Hot Springs. Beautiful historical town that has many spas and museums including the Mammoth Site. Next is the Homestake Mine in Lead, SD! Learn about the rich mining history while visiting the largest gold mine in the state. And last would be the other activities on I-90. There is a nice town in the center of the state on the river called Chamberlain. They have a great travel center called Al’s Oasis. Another place that wasn’t mentioned is The Air and Space Museumin Box Elder. If you want any more information about South Dakota’s museums, cities, or nature just reply to my comment!! Hope you enjoy and have a safe trip!! -Owen

Leaving from midwest in less than a month. Scheduled 5 days around Custer. Beginning to worry I had overbooked. Now I’m so glad we’re staying for 5 days! Thank you for your hard work. You look amazing together.

South Dakota is such a cool state! I have been out there twice in the past several years, and I still have some more places to visit. I really enjoyed hiking up to the top of Black Elk Peak as well as checking out the Badlands. On my next trip there, I need to check out both of the caves or at least Jewel Cave as I have not done either of them yet. Awesome video!

You definitely gotta check out Jewel Cave next time you are there!
