    Thanks man.! Just saved me a trip back to this place where I installed some lorex cameras. Customer service was closed already so youtube it was. Helped me out alot. Thanks.!

    This video was very helpful! Thank you so much for posting! I moved some cables to different PoE ports and ran across the same screen. I thought I messed something up. Almost lost my sh*t. All I had to do was enter my admin password and the video feed came back. Thanks again!

    Thanks for the video. 2 of our 4 cameras decided to do this after a power outage and the Lorex Support page was of no help, with it being New Year's Eve I wasn't expecting to get ahold of support for a couple more days. What I'd be interested to know is why two cameras lost the password while the other 2 didn't. Many thanks, and have a Happy 2023!

    Hi….. my cameras gone blank ( got Lorex logo) and when i look at the logs it say “Vidoe lost” followed by “Channel x user logged out” and seconds later it logs back in, this is causing different camera to blank out. When I llook at the PoE management i can see power (watts) dropping. I only have 5 cameras averaging a total of 17watts out of the 220w capable Lors NVR (N882).

    The problem I’ve had is some cameras won’t work even when you do this. Every time you unplug it, you repeat this process. All my cameras have worked perfectly but for some reason one or two quit working at all, even updating the password. It started when I had to unplug them to move out of my house to get the entertainment center moved. I reconnected them again because moving the NVR and cameras was going to be the very last thing to go. Well ever since then, one or two never would reconnect even with the correct password. I finally gave up. Here I am now months later needing my camera system up in this new apartment and I only need two cameras for a studio apartment and I grabbed one that worked perfectly once I updated the password, then camera 2 is one that won’t connect even with the password correct. Haven’t found a fix.

      Me too. Out of my 8 cameras, 1 would not work.

      Did this and failed.. my fix was my cameras had a reset button under a cap with 2 screws, i held it for 30 seconds and once tgey reboot they worked.

    So, I switch cameras with another system and now I have two invalid passwords... How can I see the password on a picticular camera? I tried to reset by 24 hrs unplugged but to no avail.

      Find the reset button on the cameras hold for 30 sec.. worked for me

    Done that but same result. Resetting the camera also doss nothing

    It worked for me, thanks. Question is why does it happen? My camera was working fine, then went off line. After switching the camera out, I brought the “bad” one back inside and connected directly. It then said, invalid password/user name. It’s back now. Thanks again.
