I love the contrast on this bookcase. I would consider muted shades of green to be neutral as well. Several paint companies have made a shade of green their 2022 color of the year so maybe do green for the other one? I would do red or turquoise but I tend to be very out there with color. I like your hair! Super cute!🌸
I find that sometimes laying a piece down or on its side is easier to paint in those areas that are hard to reach with a paint sprayer. I’m a little behind on watching your videos and I can’t wait to see the color that you picked for the other bookcase. Beautiful job on this piece!
You do black furniture so well. I’ve been having a hard time it’s like the hardest color I’ve used. I painted with Dixie bell Anchor Silk. The two little end tables have taken almost a quart of this stuff.

I personally love black as a nuetral. I also love black & white together. But, black can be dramatic for some people or markets, I suspect. So, depending where one was selling, there might be more fo an expectation that a neutral was more in that beige, tan, taupe range or maybe a type of gray. OK, to clarify, black and white are neutral, and I love them, but they can be high contrast with other items, so whether those are better/worse as neutrals would depend on the decor style in a house or a region. I guess. I've heard shades of green, particularly more mist or sage ones are trendy this year as colors go. Though, I do consider some shades of green, like olive, to work as neutrals for some styles. Like, how one can have a sort of olive bordering on khaki for their big ticket upholstery items and it will match a lot of styles.

I haven’t used the Silk line yet but I’ve heard good things about it. Black can be tricky at times but I love the chic outcome!

Blues are always my favorite colors 💙 the tan is a spray paint- I’ll show that process in the part 2 color video but can’t remember the name
There are so many beautiful earth tones, which are neutral,,,so I would have gone with one of them instead of the black.

I just finished building a drop leaf shaker style table out of poplar. I used old fashioned milk paint federal blue. Nobody but me likes the color.
I looked it up and it is definitely a bold blue but I love all blues 💙
I consider a “ greige” another neutral. I agree, a sage or moss green for the other one
