MLB AVERAGES avg.251, ops.700, obp.314, slg.386 HARPER avg.272, ops.816, obp.351, slg.465 NOT overrated stats speak for themselves hes an ABOVE AVERAGE player and has been since 19

    @Lamborghini274 yes you can, it has to do with the core weight and how tightly it is wrapped, from experience the MLB ball go much further than the minor leage balls, plus the seams are smaller which means less air friction and further hits not to mention the later break on pitches

    The Washington Nationals took him first overall in the 2010 amateur draft. The scout was Mitch Sokol. He became the third-youngest player to be taken first following Tim Foli and Ken Griffey Jr., and the 5th catcher, following Steve Chilcott, Mike Ivie, Danny Goodwin, B.J. Surhoff and Joe Mauer. However, the Nationals announced that they would move him to the outfield, once signed, in order to speed up his arrival in the major leagues.

    i feel like how he pivot's his knee inward when he swings, contributes to a lot of his power

    • @frankenstrat25
      @frankenstrat25 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      well yea its his load. everybody does it different its all about how you clear your hips bryce trained alot constantly playing constantly swinging. his exaggerated swing and using his entire body contributes mostly but it doesnt change that you still need to train

    somebody need to test this kid for steroids. not because he hits home runs but because of the unsportsmanlike way he plays the game. he will do anything to win even cheat. so speaking to that character he will most likely have no problem taking steroids. i watched a game where hit grounded out to first and faked like the ball went off his foot. even faking pain and holding his foot.
    used to respect his homerun hitting power. but how can anyone respect a man who plays the game in such a childish sort of way

    @IPodHinter So whats wrong with driving to your nearest field and having a buddy throw you bp? Or hitting off a tee? There are so many things you can do to improve other then go to a batting cage.

    He ran a 6.93 60...that was one of 3 he ran...no one has been in a hurry to screw with the catching mechanics because most scouts have said he will hit his way out of catching and into 3rd base or OF

  • @Ladran_Sancho
    @Ladran_Sancho 15 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Funny to read someone state that his swing is not fluid. That kind of distance can only be achieved from a combination of brute strength and nearly-perfect mechanics. His swing is not only explosive, kind of like a whiplash, but it is also a thing of beauty. I hope he can stay focused so we can enjoy that swing for years to come.
