pro tips : to avoid the sticky contact with prepeg, use a small amount of hand care cream on your gloves ! it's not affect the prepeg spec and it's way better to manipulate the carbon and apply it on your mold ;)

I put a first thin layer of epoxy on the carbon, but i had to let it cure because i had to order new resin. now i wanted to sand the surface, but it would probably destroy the pattern since the epoxy layer is so thin. Do you think that I can just apply a new layer without sanding? Thank you

Why forged? For weight saving, I'd go for a foam core and plain weave (checkerboard pattern) or twill weave (the "normal" one)
