Fun Fact: the blue vent hoses on the 1984 ECTO-1 are parallel to each other, so you just need to change the positioning of the axel/pin connector at the end. Easy fix :)

Can you explain that further? Meaning you don't need the three additional light grey pieces he mentions?

@@A_Buster9693 Ahh, you mean where they attach on the roof rack. Gotcha. Just got this set for Xmas so I'm prepping the '84 conversion ahead of time.

Just got mine. And was looking for a video like this. I only like the first two films. So seeing that ladder on the other side just got on my nerves. Since the door action feather would still work just fine. If I open the door all the way first, then press in the Lego piece.
As for the extra pieces needed you mentioned @0:18. I found a work around that problem. I had so many extra spare Lego pieces, at the end of the build. I choose those instead. I used 4 of those 1 stud Circle dark gray pieces. To lift up that section piece @2:14. Then put everything back on the way you did. But instead of removing that dark grey clip, from the antenna piece. I left it on. Inserting it back into the box, as it was before.

Yeah, I didn’t put those stickers on. I think a lot of people decided against it.

Guys just use a piece remover to remove the up three pieces and remove the whole thing not painful

you forgot about the grill pieces on the front hood of the car! you could replace that with a white tile though

(ive seen some with the door handles like in the afterlife model also though they could be fan recreations of the ecto 1 idk)

does have those vents on the hood.

This video details moving the black ladder from the driver side to the passenger side of the car & relocating the door handle of the passages rear door to the correct position. These mods make the car look like the 1984 movie car Ecto1.

The grill doesn’t bother me much. I kind of find the grill pretty cool looking. The ladder reversed was 😝. Operation of that new attack chair is still function just not as smooth. Mines going in a case for display not play.

Hope you don't mean the LEGO 75827 Firehouse. That set couldn't even fit the 21108 " minifig scale" ecto-1. LEGO would have to redesign it, from the ground-up to fit it. but without bigger minifigs it probably wouldn't make sense.

Thanks for that, thought about the handle switch, but didn't think it would be so simple! I prefer it that way too, keeps people from messing with the rear door. My 67' Lincoln Continental actually has suicide rear doors, from the factory. Now, let's just hope they don't fill the new Ghostbusters movie with a bunch of PC Hollyweird bullsh*t and gay agenda pushing, but I won't hold my breath.............
