This statue of liberty would be an awesome playset but it shows greatly on this commercial that it wasn't because not showing any play features except standing there,with the exception of the head to put your figures! It might be there as an idea for releasing,it but scrapped the concept in the end because of their budget & all i believe have them using it only in the commercial as a tease for us!

Yes, that's correct but there are 6 figures total so far. Don't forget there is Stay Puft and Green Ghost (Slimer). That's a bummer that you had to pay a higher price. I paid $14.97 each for mine. I managed to get two full sets by using brickseek to check the inventory of all of the local Walmarts. Anyone else that's reading this and having trouble finding the figures, I want to say this. Please, don't resort to rotten resellers just yet. While the figures are selling out and hard to find, Hasbro are trying to replenish and restock them. If you really want these, then you've also got to be on top of it. Check brickseek or call your Walmart daily then make the effort to go out to find them. I'm 38 and my mom bought a lot of these for me when I was a kid, but my father sold them in a yard sale to get back at her when she left him. It's been over 30 years and I'm still a little salty about it.
It's much more *strange* that "Kenner" used codewords for "Slimed" ("Gooped") and even Slimer's self name (Named as "Green Ghost") in their commercials.
The reason they had to say "gooped" instead of "slimed" is because Mattel had the trademark on the word "slime" for toys (not sure how they managed to copyright a common English word just for a toy, but they did), so Kenner couldn't legally call it slime. That could also play into the reason Slimer was referred to as "Green Ghost" by Kenner across their toyline, but another reason for that was because Slimer wasn't officially named Slimer until the Real Ghostbusters animated series debuted, but Kenner began working on the toyline _before_ the series premiered, & the reference material they had to work with was taken from the pitch pilot made for the show, & Slimer wasn't called by name in that pilot. That's also why the Proton Pack accessories for the figures, the roleplay Proton Pack, & the roleplay PKE meter look different to how they did on the show.
I never realized that Ecto-1 still had the window cut out of the tailgate in the commercial. I still have no idea why they went and made it a solid piece of plastic in the end

Ha, you included the Funimation Ghost Busters, which was a different franchise from the Bill Murray movies and related Real Ghostbusters cartoon series. They just shared a similar name and premise. I think Columbia Pictures had to pay royalties to Funimation to use the Ghostbusters name because the Funimation property came out first.

here in the Philippines 1987 to 1991 for almost 5 years until
ABS CBN pull the plug because ABC cancelled the show then
they replaced by Ewoks in 1991

Cuz' imo when I first watched the intros about the show on YT at age 11, I thought the theme song of Ewoks was pretty catchy imo.

Ha, you included the Funimation Ghost Busters, which was a different franchise from the Bill Murray movies and related Real Ghostbusters cartoon series. They just shared a similar name and premise. I think Columbia Pictures had to pay royalties to Funimation to use the Ghostbusters name because the Funimation property came out first.
Funimation releases Dragon Ball and One Piece. I believe you meant to say Filmation. The same company that did Bravestarr and Masters of the Universe.
