- Hey everyone, so my tests showed no improvement from 250 to 1000hz on Xbox, but I have to say when set to 500hz it definitely feels a bit better. The controller doesnt feel sluggish on its own, but against G7se, I do prefer the G7se. I'll be doing some 500hz tests a well and some tests on pc, for the video comparison of the G7se and Kaleid.

I ordered my Kaleid from Gamesir on Monday, hoping it turns up soon. I almost got the Flux but I prefer microswitch face buttons. It'll be interesting to see whether anyone can answer you question about the Flux's behaviour.
Hey bro do share what you think of the controller, feel wise definitely a step above the G7se. Still need to test 500hz, and I was able to finally open it and install Xbox stick tops, which did change the feel a bit, but it’s a pain to open due to the screw type used.
I have Kaleid for last 3 weeks and for me it`s better like elite 2.

Não atualizou quando chegou está na versão 1.36 aplicativo e eu não estou conseguindo calibrar ele pois quando entro pra calibrar os botões RT e LT não funciona somente na calibragem já os analógico pegar normal só não concluí a calibração por falta do RT e LT não pega acho que e algum bug?
@@thephototechy I don't care for using the Xbox thumbsticks as it limits your movement when playing fast and aggressive, especially when you use a kontrolfreek on top of the thumbstick. I get better results with the standard gamesir or scuf thumbsticks. Go into Plunder solo and fight some 4 player teams, there is a difference.

Hey you can use gamepd tester on Xbox via the edge browser, I sometimes used HCI design website as well.
So according to my tests the 1000hz on Xbox Kaleid is not the same as G7se, and it seems doesn’t take effect on Xbox, but we do have a 500hz option, which I’ll be covering in a separate video as that one does feel slightly better.

Brilliant video , very detailed. I'm a pc player, would you recommend the kaleid for pc or the g7se? I don't play competitively but I prefer a more responsive and low latency controller.
Hey bro , thanks for the comment. I’ve just started going through some test results and the Kaleid indeed looking amazing in 1000 on pc. I can see some responsive results, but still there’s a lot I have to go through. I think Kaleid for pc makes sense over G7se, as you won’t need a special script to unlock the true 1000hz. But if Xbox would ever be on cards for any multiplayer games, then G7se makes more sense, unless they forcefully end up disabling the 1000hz of G7se on Xbox, as it’s truly something great.

I was thinking the same as it just popped on Amazon UK 😂. Honestly on Xbox I’d love to use the Kaleid more, but I’ve gotten used to the really lose sticks on my G7se, which Im sure will happen to Kaleid as well after serious game time, so trying to really run them in right now. Once they are equal then it’ll be a difficult choice. I do think G7se currently with 1000hz activated feels better, but this might change with a firmware update, which I’ll never do to my G7se 😂 and that could make the G7se behave like the Kaleid.
If both don’t have 1000hz on Xbox then Kaleid makes more sense as they’ve changed the aiming algorithm slightly. I’m still gathering all the data about resolution and stuff, and will make a video comparing the two.
Yeah, no need to ever do a firmware update to my G7SEs. So ok, then I'll keep using those until you might find the Flux perform better.

The g7se had loose sticks from new I instantly noticed the kaleid has stiffer sticks and when I first went from elite to g7se I didn't like how loose the stick were but got used to it but man once used to the stiffer sticks again my aiming is a lot better on the kaleid @@thephototechy

I have a Series X, my G7 SE thumbstiks feels more fast and stable at 250hz.
He bro a lot depends on the screen and personal preference as well. Every test I’ve done with G7se, 1000hz shows faster response than 250. Still an amazing controller, specially when I look at how it’s held up for me with the amount of game time I’ve put it through.
I had the g7se and returned it for the kaleid but I still have the same problem with both, my mic volume is so low, when I talk to people they say they can barely hear me. When I plug it into my ps5 controller it’s normal. Do you know a way to fix this please?

Did you download the 1000hz file package on the GameSir website? It’s clearly stated that must be done first to run 1000hz on Xbox.
After I installed, the GameSir Xbox app now gives me a red message ( where the polling rate options used to be) stating : Connect to PC to enable 250hz mode.
Hey yes so there were 2 options shown on the website, using the T4k app or a file package. I used the T4k app and I can see the red message on nexus Xbox, which says use pc to enable 250hz. The audio is still there on Xbox and like I showed the, xbox accessories app doesn’t recognise the controller. All these made me test the controller and it did not show a better result in 1000hz on xbox.

hey, about the disconnect and reconnect when launching the t4k app you should know that it happens even in the old/og T4K. also the app bugs out if you are on voice channel on discord
Hey bro so on the xbox kaleid so far its only disconnecting and reconnecting when set to 1000hz, which is when even the xbox accessories app won't recognise it. If I leave it in 250, 500 then I don't see that issue. It's like the controller re connects in a different state than what it was in 250 and 500hz.

I can’t remember if you reviewed the flydigi apex 4 or not. But if not, I hope you get a chance to check it out. Because In addition to you moving the controller around to aim with the gyro, you can also bind the gyro to either the left or right thumb sticks.
And for me that is a game changer because not only is the apex 4 precise but the fact that when you bind the gyro to the sticks it now will assist in making your stick movements even more precise. Plus you can adjust the sensitivity of the gyro and even adjust the dead zone for it as well.
It does not aim for you. But smooth’s out Your stick movements even more. It is also 1000 Hertz out-of-the-box. And I’m able to use this controller on my series X via an adapter. I also have a Gamesir G7 Se and I like it as well.

@bp5267 I have the Brookwingman xb. But now the xb2 has replaced it. But some have reported problems with it after the MS 3rd party band. People using the apex 4 have said that the Magic X adapter works, I don't have this one. My original brookwingman xb still works. But I am using my Titan 1 adapter with the apex 4 and keeping my brookwingman as a backup. I would highly recommend the Titan 1 adapter. All you have to do with it is autherize it by plugging in your official Xbox controller, then unplug it and plug in any controller you want. You may need to update the firmware of the adapter first.
I will not go into why I personally believe that this method of authorization is a pro and not a con because I don't want my comment to be deleted.
I can't fully tell you the name of where to get the Titan 1. But it starts with an "A"

Oh... I forgot to tell you one other cool thing. Once you do the authorization, you can even plug the wireless dongle of the apex 4 into the Titan 1 adapter and use the controller wireless.

Hey the stick ones are good, it I do run kontrolfreeks galaxies on the right and any generic grip on the left. You can try Xbox stick tops, but will need to open the controller, so will need to peel the back sticker off. I’d say just use the standard sticks that are installed, as Xbox sticks are a good feel but losing warranty is not worth it.

Hey bro the Xbox sticks are a good idea if you find the aim response a bit slow, or if you have some Xbox Kontrolfreeks you’d like to use. But I do believe with in game settings, the normal G7/G7se sticks can work well too. I’m using the normal sticks right now, as they keep the drift number a bit low, so I can play with only a 1-2% deadzone, instead of 3-5% I’d need on Xbox tops.

In Gamesir Nexus I don't have option for change hz, I checked on PC and on xbox app its this some. Do you have any id ?

I have g7se for series x. It’s still on 1000hz pullin rate. Manage to apply that bedore the update. Now how do i ser my g7se and nexus app to disable the automatic update? Fearing they’ll disable it by new firmaware.
Hey so they can auto update the app, but I don’t think they can force a firmware update on the controller. I have the updated app and still has the 1000hz working on my G7se. If they do make a force removal, it’ll be on the Xbox end and that could be through a system update. Hopefully wont happen but it’s a possibility, as Microsoft apparently mentioned competitive fairness being a reason as well for its removal.

Hey so I did soooo many tests today, and it seems 500 is the new 1000 on Kaleid for Xbox. This also has audio, so if test of my results telly then we have a good alternative to G7se on Xbox. Still I feel the 500 on Kaleid is slightly slower than G7se 1000 on Xbox.

Hey bro, I do wish to test that controller but currently I cant play on pc properly. Funny thing I was at a friends house today who has a 4k 144hz monitor for his PS5. Bro I can't believe what I've been playing at only 1080 120 on a cheap monitor even on PS5. Xdefiant looked like a different game to me on his screen, honestly has me confused now to get a monitor or keep saving for a pc lol.
I'm also finding it difficult to think this one is an upgrade over the G7se in any way, unless we lose the 1000hz on G7se then this could be better. Did you test this one on pc? definitely keen to know how it performed with 1000hz on PC for you, thanks.

Ah bro I wish I could test the old one as well, but I’m on console only so unable to test pc controllers right now.
I have the older translucent one, and I have used it on xbox. It is good. But when the official Gamesir g7 se came out for xbox and I picked one that up, its performance is much smoother.
I don't have any of the newer translucent ones. But if these official Xbox Kaleid's are anything like the g7 se, they will be better than the old one, at least concerning xbox.
I can’t get the polling rate to pop up in the nexus app, for the Kaleid.
Hey bro I had to update my controller with the T4k app first, this then enabled the 1000hz option. There are two ways of doing it, T4k app method seems the easiest one. Link from Gamesir website is below, hope this helps.

Hey so you can even set it to 1000 and it saves on the controller, but according to all my tests the 1000 disables the Xbox license. Also 500 improves the performance on Xbox, so I’d highly recommend setting 500 for Xbox and 1000 for pc.

Hey so to be able to get the 1000hz we need to either custom install a firmware or use T4k app to update the controller. I updated through T4k app and got the 1000hz option that way.

Personally it seems to be fine for me but one thing I know, when someone has a hunch there’s definitely something there.

I do think for pc the Kaleid would be better, that’s according to me tests so far. I’m working on a detailed comparison of G7se vs Kaleid as there are differences between them.

@@sjkfskjdfsffs Hey yes I've tired it and for COD it can be very useful. Currently I'm playing Xdefiant and I have a very different aim setup in that game. So I do find non raw with 0 deadzones better than using raw where I might need to up the deadzone ever so slightly.

Bro not gonna lie, I only tested the audio output and wasn’t happy with the result, but that’s something on most cheaper third party controllers. Only the stealth ultra, EswapX and Raikiri come close to elite series 2. Will check for mic though and see if it’s an issue in mine as well. What firmware you on? Also did you use T4k app or manual method?

Yo I watched ur videos where u compare controllers and input delay with aim flicking and recording in slow motion.
I am a pc gamer normally with a 4090 & a 360hz oled screen, but I am forced to play on console cuz the shadow ban issues I get on pc, so I bought a ps5 and noticed how big the delay is. I got used to it in the last 2 months until I saw a testing on WZ2 where someone compares the series X to the PS5 and he got consistent 4-5 frames less lag so I was shocked & I bought immediately a xbox to test in my local store. And yeah, it seems that the input delay is not because console pc, it’s a Sony specific problem.
On the Series X, basically depending if I use a 250hz or 125hz controller, I get around 3-4 frames less delay on xbox and that’s while using the edge on the ps5 that runs stock 1000hz!, 120hz on PC gets me the same result as on xbox, and of course pc on 360hz with a 1000hz controller is the goat, but my results on my oled screen + Dualsense edge that runs stock @1000hz (and that’s basically the fastest possible setup u can get with the PS5)
PS5 w/ edge 1000hz = 36,8ms delay
Xbox w/ 250hz controller = 21,3ms delay
Xbox w/ 125hz controller = 24,7ms delay
PC 120hz w/ 250hz controller = 22,1ms delay
PC 360hz w/ edge 1000hz = 15,8ms delay
I did a testing of over 50 samples for each setup configuration
Pc setup is a 4090 + 7800x3d and monitor is Aorus FO27q3
I even compared 4k 120hz and 1440p 120hz on xbox & ps5, and it doesn’t affect the lag, on xbox I got even 2ms better results with using 4k over 1440p, but that’s because u cannot change the render resolution on consoles, they always render the same and upscale it to 4k, and then downscale it to ur output resolution, so one step more, so native 4k screen (or in my case using 4k 120hz cuz my monitor has hdmi 2.1) is always the best case for console
Now I’m trying to sell my PS5, just searching for a good xbox controller with 4 paddles.. I’ve ordered the stealth ultra but now I read a lot of issues, would you advice the gambit ? It has to be 250hz, so elite series 2 and pro bfg are out for me.
4 paddles that I can use with only 2 fingers & 250hz is something I need.

@@thephototechy yeah I’m recording around 8-10 frames on ps5 and on xbox I record 4-6 frames on my screen, but yeah definitely need a lot of test examples to have a somewhat consistent result on 240fps slow motion, but who knows maybe the next iPhones in the future can record @ 500/1000fps
I already have the eswap x, didn’t use it for over a year tho, the left stick randomly pulls completely in one direction, I was thinking of buying a new module but the reviews are very mixed, a lot of 5 stars and a lot of 1 stars where the module stopped working, so not sure if I should waste those 20€ for that. The gambit I could get from amazon for 54€, but yeah like u said, the 4 paddles for me looks like I can get a lot of missinputs cause they are so close together.
The stealth ultra basically fits all boxes but then I read things like disconnects (even wired and I only play wired anyway), wear on that left anti friction ring, and not be able to turn on that xbox when pressing the X button on controller, some people say u need to hold that button for like 3 seconds to turn it on ? Did u experience that too?
If anyone would make Hall effects for the eswap X would be so nice. Maybe I give the stealth ultra a try, will arrive tomorrow, if I have too many issues with it I think I’m gonna buy just another module for my eswap X. Also, do kontrolfreeks fit good on the stealth ultra ? Some people say yes, some people say no.
@@kerim_og_9378 about the stealth ultra, make sure you check the output is even across the right stick, if like mine you have more register per increment in any one direction, then definitely return it straight away bro. It’s a really good controller but again has built in minimum deadzones which can’t be disabled. Xbox kontrolfreeks do fit the sticks and move a bit, but never came off during game for me. Personally I’ve only ever had disconnects on pc whilst trying to test the controller, Xbox it’s been absolutely solid when playing wired. I only ever tried wireless for a few games and didn’t like the feel at all. The controller also has an issue when wireless and a headset plugged in the controller, it adds way too much latency, which not only showed on my screen recording tests, but can also be seen in xinput and one of my own apps.

Which is the better overall controller kalied or g7 SE? I’m on Xbox
Difficult to say right now bro, as I’m testing both back to back. G7se definitely is a unique option with real gain in 1000hz on Xbox. It might happen that we end losing the 1000hz on G7se as well through a firmware update, so I won’t be updating my unit at all. One thing I’ll say if you need the headset jack then Kaleid makes more sense as you won’t be using the 1000hz on xbox then.

The flux is working at 1000hz it works fine just no audio In the 3.5 but when I do the 1000hz on my Xbox for the kaleid my xbox does not recognize the controller. Thought I had a defective controller sent it back the Amazon and got another kaleid and it's doing the same at 1000hz.

I try to use the titan two controller adapter at 1000hz because we lost the 1000hz on console and it works... the titan two has a option to put any controller at 1000hz

I’d say for larger hands, this one for sure, plus I don’t have that face plate moving all the time.
This has better grip than g7se plus it has a slightly sharp shape underneath which actually makes it feel much better grip
is there any difference on the size and texture compare to g7 se?
This one is almost identical to a stock Xbox controller, with the same sticks and triggers as the G7. Personally, I like the G7 for sports games and that's about it. This is better for shooters. Same texture as the SE, no rubber
It's not same texture it's a bit more grippy texture it also has a sharper shape to the rear were you holding that gives just that bit more grip I personally prefer it over g7se as I like the stiffer sticks g7se sticks are probably the lightest on any controller and takes getting used to this pad is better for me for aiming due to that @@Psilent_P

Hey so there are differences between the Xbox Kaleid and G7se, and I’m sure G7se has slightly different aiming algorithm than T4k. Kaleid Xbox is their newest model and shows good responsive results on pc and actually a good performer on Xbox as well. How different is it going to be from T4k is a bit difficult to say for me as I haven’t used the T4k myself.

Bro I haven’t used the T4k myself, also don’t have a pc to compare them. But every test shows the Kaleid Xbox being better than G7se on pc for sure, so if T4k is anything like the Xbox Kaleid then it’ll be better than G7se for pc.

Hey bro, yes the old G7 once set to 1000 on a pc nexus app, will work on Xbox. It’s also a great controller.

Hey so even the Kaleid disables the headphone jack in 1000hz, but It seems the 1000hz is only working on pc. So by the looks of things Microsoft got their wish of no 1000hz on Xbox. My concern is for G7se losing the 1000hz as well with a firmware update, similar to the Kaleid. Personally I won’t be updating my G7se anymore.
Kaleid with 1000hz on pc definitely shows better performance than what it’s doing on Xbox. I will make a separate video of those results and will test 500hz on Xbox as well to see if that’s an improvement at all.
@@thephototechy yea i fear the loss of the 1000hz on the g7se aswell i really hope microsoft just leaves it alone but incase it is worse off which controller do you prefer in terms of just overall feel aside from the clear gap in performance 🤔

Hey bro I totally get the price point, but I do love the Eswap 😂. Did you ever change the custom response curve of the Eswap at all?
@@thephototechy i did try my software is not very great it is kinda buggy - when ever i did change the response curve the whole feel was very off for me it felt wrong in my opinion it needs to be linear for my brain to understand it or the software just doesnt do a good job. my software simply doesnt allow my mapping to work at all - i wish i could upgrade the sticks on my eswap s to hall effects
@@shmelie bro that buggy issue happens to me as well at first, not sure what fixed for me as the update was failing every time I tried it. If you still have the Eswap please try “small 28 - med 34” large will auto set itself. Try this for aiming stick only with minimum deadzone set to 0 and leave max to 1. Use lower in game deadzones then you usually have, I’ve been beaming snipers in Xdefiant with EswapX and that was before they added flinch.
@@thephototechy so funny thing after having the jitter start right back up on right stick when i first plugged it in today after some rotations it settled and stopped and then i changed my response curve in my case i play rocket league so its the left stick and its the small movements im after and it does impressively well. i also enjoy having that pressure that keeps me from oversteering so much that the g7se just doesn't have. im receiving new ministicks in mail as soon as customs releases it then il get back on this controller more. i missed having this mechanicle buttons in my hands its just satisfying
@@thephototechy and the jitter on the eswap just gets worse when i play then i came up with he idea of just taking the right stick out apparently u cant play when you do that. whats weird is jitter stays right side no matter if i swap the sticks. when i recieve my replacements we wil see if it goes away
There is no longer an option for me to turn on 1000 hz for my new controller on xbox . I got my replacement g7 se and lost the 1000hz it seems like

Hey yes, but it needs to be set on a pc using nexus, it can then be played on Xbox with 1000hz saved on the controller.

@@Imtoast2011 I know bro it’s such a pain, but once set you’ll be good. Just make sure you have a profile with 250hz saved as well, just in case you need the headphone jack for some games.

Bro it definitely feels very nice in hand and honestly for pc I think no point for G7se. I still have to run tests for 500hz on xbox, also will do some for pc as well just to see if it’s better than G7se.

Bro the controller is definitely a lot better in many ways than G7se. The resolution is a bit higher and it might be you are playing at 500hz, which does feel slightly better to me, tests for that will be next. Are you playing on Xbox or pc? Coz for pc Kaleid definitely has G7se beat.

@@cudderlover1216 I never had a chance to use that one, but many still prefer that for pc. Not sure if the alps modules are actually different than from PS5 controllers. Hopefully if I ever get on pc I’ll definitely try that one.

What about 500hz?
Hey bro, so 500hz still shows the controllers in xbox accessories app and the audio works too. I have to conduct tests on the 500hz too, which I’ll include in the pc tests video. I’d suggest using the 500hz setting instead of 1000 on Xbox.

I have windows 11 and the 1000hz still isn’t pulling up nothing is it’s just blank I see so many people able to pull up the report rate but somehow I can’t.

@@thephototechy also I just talked to geek squad at bestbuy and they were saying it’s because the kalied isn’t compatible with windows 11 so I’ll have to download windows 10 so is that the issue?
@@ryanduran3026 So there is a tutorial on Gamesir website on how to enable the 1000hz. I had to download the T4k and update the controller through that app, this allowed the report rate option to appear in Nexus for me.
my guess is that they changed something on the pcb board not allowing it to work on xbox anymore since xbox told em that its not allowed anymore, why would they release an update that would break their deal with xbox, lol
Bro my thoughts exactly, which makes the G7 and G7se a very unique controller for Xbox.
I tried it for one week on 1000 hz on Xbox, just switched to 500. Xbox accessories app does recognize it at 500, you also dont get the warning about the audio jack. I dont think 1000hz works on xbox... 500 feels much better actually in gameplay. I think something funny is happening at 1000

1000 hz on xbox with g7se are not possible right now. On the latest update… and plus, even if you have 1000hz on xbox then you have no audio at all on the controller so.. there is no option untill we will be able to play 1000hz with audio on controller
Hey bro so the Kaleid also disables audio in 1000hz, but audio is there on Xbox, this prompted me to test and see if 1000 made an improvement on Xbox.

The Astro A40 Mixamp for xbox solves your no audio issue. It's what I use for my current setup. Apple Air Pods with the 3.5mm end work well with the mixamp. The Airpods provide great audio and the mic works well. You can plug your headset or earbuds into the mixamp for chat/audio, while using the g7se.
Also you can use any wired xbox controller for chat/audio, just plug it in one of the usb ports on the back of your xbox X.

Hey bro, others have mentioned aim assist issues as well to me. Initially it did take me a bit to get used to HE sticks, have to say I’m very used to them now and do enjoy them a lot. I think I need to try and do the aim assist tests somehow to see if there’s a difference.
If I did have to pick an absolute favourite for Xbox, personally I’d go with the EswapX, but it definitely feels a bit slower to me than G7se, still I love the custom curve option on thrustmaster Eswap controllers, even with the outer max deadzones.
Same. Idk what it is but I feel like I have no AA with that controllers at times. When I was on the PS4 I didn't feel these problems. But now on the series x it feels like I don't have AA randomly
