You and alot of other people feel the same. Sadly this is what the Olympics has done to bmx. There is no freestyle anymore. Just whoever can pull as many flips and spin variations.
That fufanu and the no handed double flip probably had the gnarliest consequences if you screw up. The backflip opposite double whip was easily the most technical trick done. R Willey's was a good use of the course and big enough to take the win.
The nose front into the water was really brave when you have no idea how deep it is.... He could have landed in 2 feet of water for all he knew. Luckily he was OK... Great riding everyone. 👏👏
Williams could have paralyzed himself with that water stunt. The water was waist deep. Sometimes it's better to just chill. Dude already put on a show. He should know better
Yeah he could have been. He could have fallen going out of the bus too, but he didn't. I mean, don't you see all the risks each one took on this session ? Ryan did it for the crowd, crowd was hectic, this guy is a legend.
Was thinking the same thing. He mentioned on instagram that he wasn't aware that the water was so shallow. If he had decided to cancel the frontflip for example and just let go of the bike and dive in he could have possible broken his arms / neck.
@@jaymason2493 yes, he didn't know as it was his first time at the Fise. But still, I think a fall on his front flip fly out would have been much more dangerous than his jump in the water.

nah you just like to think you could be one of these guys entering a contest with a basic ass easy trick like a fufanu lmao. which funny enough has more resemblance of something you'd see a clown do in a cricus to impress the little kids because even compared to a manual it's entry level, but hey it works you seem to be impressed 😆
Which trick / timestamp are you referring to? At 4:22 Shaun Gornall does a backflip double whip. If you pause it after the first whip completes, you'll see he is clearly upside down. Loupus did the same trick around the 1min mark and was also upside down.
Don’t care how many flips, spins, bars, or whips are done. The Fufanu won in my opinion. ❤
I agree. That was a harrowing Fufanu.
Yes! So clean.
Don’t have to go big for a best trick.
You and alot of other people feel the same. Sadly this is what the Olympics has done to bmx. There is no freestyle anymore. Just whoever can pull as many flips and spin variations.
How?
It it such a basic trick compared to the flips, tail whips and spins.. it's basically a 180 with a tire tap
No Fufanu is easy.
Gotta love R.Willy he really does it for the crowd... Every comp the crowd goes nuts for him

Thank you for the coverage! As always
Rwilly such a showman
That fuf was absolutely insane. Ballsy
Thank you so much for great video
Honestly, the massive fufanu should have beaten rwillys frontflip. The footjam to turndown was pretty gnarly also.
Nice to see someone using both breaks.

Ofc they know its deep😑
its knee height water 😂
the fact that he could easily walk out of it... Insane to dive into that.
Hectic as always 🤘 awesome work from all.
this was a mad watch! seeing rwilly with that nose manny to front flip straight into the river was epic 😊
R. Willy is a mad lad
YESSS YESSSS YESSSS THANKS FOR THIS VID !
Too bad FISE didnt film it.
Big foof!
So happy there's still one guy doing these. Legitimately scarier than most of the other "huge" tricks.
R Willy is menace 😂
Good ❤
Ryan is always pushing the bar
🎉🎉🧢🧢
What did the silver medalist do, backflip double whip?
Backflip Double Oppo Whip
TDG FULLSUPPORT BIG FAX
Bloody Psychos !!!! Keep Pushing the limits boys. The tail bonk on the high right dear god.

I also know guys who do handrails when nobody's watching, I think the stunts is the point of it all

It's crazy to think that the competition is so high that you do a twix to barspin, then a front bikeflip, and it's not even enough for the podium.
Contest like this really make me miss Pat Casey and his original riding style...

Street?
Man this is last year?
No, this year (2024)
Fuf
Fufanu beats circus clown anyday

Boaok
No way Rwilly should've won
The guy is an animal what do you expect
The fuf was just a 180° with a tire tap.. not that crazy.
Literally every other trick was better.
I don't get sone of the comments..
The Fufanu might be a basic trick, but doing it on something that big definitely adds a whole lot of spice to it!
And whoever called a back flip 3 tail whip this year, that was a 360 triple whip. No back flip.

@@matthoover111 was Shaun Gornall doing flip double switch whip though, or does he kick his whips goofy?
