Is it really that difficult? I had a much harder time beating his dark souls equivalent, Iudex Gundyr then again maybe my playstyle is just really weird since Pontiff Sulvahyn (one of dark souls most annoying bosses) just crumpled for me like a wet paper bag and it was really anticlimactic
I found it very challenge. even memorizing his full patron of movement with his multiple sword+hammer combo if for some reason he started that with you near a corner there's not way to survive that combo...

I think parry mechanics are something a lot of decent players just don’t bother to get good at, since it’s useless against so many bosses. I’m also half certain most of us OG players only got so good at partying because we had to kill the crestfallen warrior every playthrough of every game

Anthony is a treasure, I watched a longer interview with him about his role in Elden Ring and and man did he deliver! Morgott is honestly the best character in the game for me.
His story makes me feel bad for the dude. He was cursed from birth and shunned by everyone but still protected the land and the Erdtree. He even gets upset in Morgott's phase 2 when he uses his Omen curse powers since he thinks its disgusting. I believe its hit rune or his shackle that says "he was never loved but he stilled loved in return"

Although she's a goddess, she gets most of her power from a Lovecraftian outer god called the Greater Will, and the Greater Will definitely wants you to kill the demigods. But Marika (the goddess) turned against the Greater Will at some point. However there still seems to be evidence that she wants you to kill her demigod children. The lore on this game is pretty wild. As for the lands between, I think the implication is that they're between some other lands (other continents) on the same physical planet, but it's hard to say for sure, since the lands between are completely surrounded by water. And there's sort of an area floating in the sky, and a bigger one underground.
I may have died at least 15 times to Margit... Didn't even get angry. That boss fight is easily one of my favorites. Blood-loss Uchigatana MELTS him though
I honestly really like him. He seems like a cool dude, and I have always enjoyed fighting the Fell Omen. I was frustrated the first time, of course! But I missed him, and wanted something more real with finality for the ending. I liked him quite a bit. And Anthony Howell seems to be a gem as well

I thought i somewhat recognised his voice the first few times fighting Margit, he plays Samuels in Alien Isolation and he does a great performance there as well.

Margit is the character that crosses my mind first if someone says Elden Ring. I used to have little interest in medieval fantasy games, but Margit showed that these types of games can have strong, determined, fast, and interesting bosses. Also Margit is the only one to show up 2 times with a cutscene for each encounter, so he's pretty memorable.
Fun fact, the guy who made that tweet is David Szymanski, the guy who made Dusk and Iron lung, and who also works for the company who made Ultrakill and Faith.
Margit must be a lot of people's first insurmountable Fromsoft boss experience. For me it was Ornstein and Smough, those fuckers made me quit my first playthrough for 4 months. It's cool to see people fresh to the series.
That and the fact that Margit's whole schtick is input-reading central. Main example is that move where he raises his cane above his head priming an attack, so naturally you dodge and when you dodge he roll catches you. But if you dont roll and just walk circles around him while he raises his cane, the AI gets confused and just drops his hands like there was nothing going on. Very cheap and annoying mechanic
