Not really I always hated her until she started training, even then I still disliked her the recent chapters are her finally actually doing something so she isn't bad anymore.
At this point in the story, Farnese is following in the footsteps of characters like Larry Underwood and Matahachi. Bemoaning her profound lack of competence in a hostile, unfamiliar world. But the fact that she understands this weakness and is willing to humble herself speaks to who she really is as a person. I don't think anyone has more perfectly depicted that transition than Miura. As an aside, some of Dad's predictions are...interesting lol
Honestly, his feelings towards her are very reasonable and justified. Up to this point, Farnese is a twisted person who's almost never been kind, generous and constructive to others, rather she's been sadistic, selfish, self-entitled. By kneeling and cutting her hair, she showed she managed to open her mind and found courage to be humble and try to learn new things, take a new direction in her life for the first time. That's good. But considering how much she had to witness to get to that point... It's nothing but a miserable tiny first step forward after thousands of long steps backward.
I always found this part of Berserk to be one of the most poignant for me personally - Guts, who _always_ took it upon himself to solve his own problems, who struggles alone and gets by on his own strength, *finally* lets someone help him, he finally admits that he needs help, and going forward, he learns to accept that it's ok to ask for help. It can get lonely as men who undertake responsibility and duty, as friends, work colleagues, husbands, or fathers as there's the expectation to be strong for others, and to take responsibility/ provide and serve the people we care for, and it's all too easy to lose sight of the fact that it's not a path that needs to be trodden alone, you're no weaker or less of a man for admitting you need help time to time...
Something interesting (no spoilers) Whats the creed of the apostles? Do as thou wilt. What did Guts say to the new members? Do what you want That blew my mind when i realized it for the first time. Because telling someone do what you want unleashes who they really are and what they really want. That can be equally bad and good. We've seen the bad up to this point in the apostles, but now the new members are being told the same thing! Makes their future actions that much more interesting. Also Guts never accepted help from anyone up to this point. Hes finally hit rock bottom in that hes realized he cant take everything on himself and while he hasnt asked for help, hes finally willing to take it and i think thats a huge turn in his development.
You ask petty questions like "Will there be more additions to the party?" and "Who is this wizard girl?" but never the real question: "Where is Volume 1, and why is it not on your shelf?"
I don't hate anyone in Berserk. Characters like Farnese just act according to the brutal reality of Berserk's world. Every character has flaws, yet they strive to become better despite the hardships they face. That's what make Berserk amazing.
You got me to laugh a few times, love the edits. This is also one of the more interesting parts of the manga in terms of characters, can't wait for more!
Remember the backstory like it or not Farnese save Serpico in the cold and made him live in the mansion with a helper taking care of his mother, guess what for a peasant he’s indebted forever with her Also she is his sister
“He’s a shadow of himself” in reference to Guts I don’t think gramps realized how much worse things can get, especially considering how guts is doing as of chapter 378
C'mon people, give him time, its normal to be this skeptical at Farnese at this point, but soon he'll know why she is considered by the vast majority of the fandom to have the second greatest character arc, second only to Guts' Edit: I remember someone saying once "For me Corkus' character arc was fantastic, he went from being an a-hole to being dead" 🤣
3:13 Glad Glenn recognizes the hair cutting being a sign of Farnese's commitment in this moment. In Japanese culture, cutting one's hair is often a symbolic gesture to show their commitment to various things. Usually it's a 'fresh start', but sometimes a personal vow. But also, he's gonna eat his words. lol Farnese is good girl. And that 'wizard' is a girl.
it is so fun to watch a fresh journey through berserk. will be interesting to see how WeebMD stands at the end. Also i might contest him for being Farnese's number 1 hater.
If that happens. I feel it would be bitter sweet. Something like the Astral World just straight up being cut off from the physical world and thus making it just like our world. Free of Magic.
Hey! Just wanted to point something out I think you missed? 4:00 The biggest reason why Serpico is still serving Farnese is because she’s actually his half-sister. This was revealed in their backstory chapter, when Serpico meets Farnese’s father. It’s also heavily implied that Farnese herself doesn’t know.
@@amethyst5783 Alright, I checked and my bad, they did talk about it. But the way it came off to me in this recent video was like he wasn't aware of it.
This is a recommendation for your dad he should read steel ball run it’s part 7 of the JoJos bizarre adventure but it takes place an alternate universe but it’s the beginning of the alternate universe and since it is such a great great story I think he might like it.
calling her "Furnace" is so brutal lol
fr🤣
😂
the "furnace" hate is funny asf😭he's doing it with such passion asw lmaooo
He's just straight up a professional Farnese hater 😭
Grandpa's gonna eat his words
Long as he doesn’t eat her cooking he’ll survive
He's gonna like his steak well done by the end of this
Not really I always hated her until she started training, even then I still disliked her the recent chapters are her finally actually doing something so she isn't bad anymore.
@@oystermcnutty5081 she’s doing stuff the entire time lil bro it’s called character development
@@oystermcnutty5081She's been on a massive arc since she left the church.
Farnese humbled herself to Easter Island man out of fear. She humbled herself to Guts out of genuine respect and admiration.

The RPG party commenceth!
Can't wait to see R******k & M*******o!
Let Farnese cook, let Farnese cook. He is NOT ready! 💀
She been cookin😬
The furnace is cooking
That's a poor choice of words, lol.
So excited to see his thoughts on Farnese by the end lol
Same
End?
The Tower of Conviction Arc may have ended, but the "Furnace" Hating Arc continues to burn strong.
I think it will start to change soon!
Lmfao bro hates furnace so much I’m dying
This is what it took for guts to be willing to accept help.
I hope my daughter and I still have this kind of relationship when I'm his age.
I'm so happy you've made it this far! This is my favorite thing right now as I have no one in person to talk about Berserk with. Thank you!
6:09 LMAO 😭
🤣
What Farnese becomes in the future is fascinating, beloved Casca protector and someone we did not expect she to transform.
Honestly, his feelings towards her are very reasonable and justified. Up to this point, Farnese is a twisted person who's almost never been kind, generous and constructive to others, rather she's been sadistic, selfish, self-entitled.

Grandpa ain’t no simp.
Grandpa clapping in the crowd made me cackle
Gut's RPG party is beginning to form now lol
This man is not ready for the pure redemption arc Farnese is about to have
I always found this part of Berserk to be one of the most poignant for me personally - Guts, who _always_ took it upon himself to solve his own problems, who struggles alone and gets by on his own strength, *finally* lets someone help him, he finally admits that he needs help, and going forward, he learns to accept that it's ok to ask for help.

I can’t wait for Gandalf to enter the story
Saying Serpico has more to offer Guts than Farnese is an attitude that will be a lot of fun to see potentially change 😊
LMAO, I couldn't stop laughing at pops just hating Farnese. Just going in on her.

Him pitting Casca against Furnace when Casca's trust in men is at an all-time low is pretty funny.
absolutely COOKED with the editing on this one LOL
You got me to laugh a few times, love the edits. This is also one of the more interesting parts of the manga in terms of characters, can't wait for more!
Dad clapping vigorously 😂
Watch him do a one-eighty on Farnese. She will be his favorite (not looking good for that though lol)
Pops hating on Furnace is so awesome he just like me fr fr 😂
But she’s great
@brettthebest3978 No, she became great she was a horrible person dude xD

oh man I'm so excited to listen to gramps opinions on the upcoming arc, I think some of his stronger opinions will be totally shifted afterwards.
its starting to change
The edits are so much fun 😂😂😂

The only thing "Furnace" is going to cook, is copious amounts of crow for him to eat once Fantasia is in full swing.
That's what I love about Berserk! I promise you, you'll be surprised by Farnese! 😬

For someone with such a religious point of view, he doesn't seem big into the whole redemption thing.
