The 2022 Civic is the same size as the 2021 Civic. It's about an inch longer. It might appear a larger due to the styling difference. Cleaner, simpler styling on the 2022 versus lots curves and wavy lines on the 2021.
The lower half of the windshield is now down to the beltline of the side doors, not 2" to 3" higher like it was in the previous Honda designs, making it hard to see the road ahead when you are a shorter driver. This is similar to the way Hondas were designed in the 1990s. Better forward visibility is always a plus, so this design is way better than the old in that respect.
Looks like Honda took some design cues from Mazda. The 12 speaker Bose sound system (I think Touring only), the concave shaped side mirrors, and the integration of the spray nozzles into the wiper blades reminds me of my Mazda3. I love it. Honda did a nice job with the 11th gen Civic. Can't wait to see the hatch.
@@thatjuancarsalesmanokc hey brother..hold up why you have to say it like that. all you had to say was dark colored cars are hard to keep clean now that sound like a racial statement. you need to be careful how you say things alright

Mmm maybe because you own the current gen most current owners will say that whenever a new gen comes out lol. This new one out class the current gen by miles much more upscale look, not a frumpy teenage looking car.
@@fraddi I agree. The previous one had character and all they had to do to improve it was to get rid of the ugly fake vents. Even the headlight style/shape looks better on the previous model.
@@tommy13965 I like 10th gen hatch more but I own it 😂. We'll see I'ma check this one out once it comes out. I love the new honda sensing, Bose audio and interior.
The last gen looked stupid lol this is overall a cleaner design. Plus the interior is way nicer even than the accord which this takes notes from. I drove and accord and still liked this better.
Aun sigo encontrando cosas nuevas en este nuevo modelo. No tiene fog light switch en el mismo lugar que antes. En realidad no encontré como encenderlas
I'm very disappointed by the way the new gen look.. I was hoping it would look more sportier than the 10th gen but it ended up looking like... Old car would be the right word very very disappointed
I loved the 10th gen..many ppl say it looks like Gundam or transformer car and appeals to younger audience. The 11th gen I think it has a very classic timeless design even if it's more "boring" or toned down from 10th gen.
In black I can see what a lot of folks were talking about. That shit looks like it should of came out in 2014 🤣🤣 BUT the dash layout is great. I’d have to get a different exterior color. And a Touring.
Test drove one yesterday, it’s amazing! Way better in person. Buying it as soon as their shipment comes in!
Looking at how good the new Civic is. The Accord 2023 will be even more elegant and upscale.🔥
No bro they retain the same model for 4 years
@@lalofromtheblock7231 I think the current Accord came in 2018

I agree 100% visibility is better than last gen Civic
The long hood is reminiscent of the older civics but it looks like a totally new car not the same at all
All praises on the interior. I feel sad for the exterior. Guy even mentioned 1 last 10th gen avail for delivery…… that means a lot 🥲
10th gen civic was a bad boy. Now this 11th gen is a grown up gentleman.

Cues
Waited too long for this new design!! The 10th tail light super ugly.. definitely getting this
This is the color I want, it is hard though to maintain and look clean or the sonic grey!
Crystal Black Pearl is easily the best looking but you are right, blacks are hard to keep clean

I like that it has real buttons. Unlike the new Gti.
Yes the new climate control buttons are really nice. They display climate information inside the buttons! I forgot to mention that in the video.
Good car review. Do you know what of the civic trim model levels has the bose sound system?
Thanks for the excellent review.
Great initial review! Does the new gen civic still have a cap-less fuel tank?
Thank you Brian. Yes it has cap-less fuel tank and also a spare tire, emergency funnel included!
Looks sick in black!
Do you think the Black Crystal Pearl is the best color for this car?
In my opinion, black suits this car the best.
i got the meteorite gray in the EX trim and I love it.
Keen to know too
It's like Accord down sizing
Still I prefer the previous gen

I have a question: where is the temperature gauge. i hope its on the car now
most likely will be in the digital display as you swipe through with mode selector i think
Little did y'all know this is my car!! 👍
Are you Jr?!

Honda made a new design, but you can easily can tell they’ve gone cheap. seriously 10th gen is better. Honda Aim for people who never had a civic.
The previous gen looks more modern than the new 11th gen. This design is less aggressive and sporty looking but still very clean mature.
The last gen looked stupid lol this is overall a cleaner design. Plus the interior is way nicer even than the accord which this takes notes from. I drove and accord and still liked this better.
Well they simply just down-sized the Accord and made it looked older and called it a day......prolly a 10mins decision’s job.
So MPG gauge is more important than Temp gauge??
Whats the bar above fuel level? Isnt it temperature indicator?

The exterior looks like an old car except the interior...
The interior looks pretty dated to me, too.

I kinda like how it looks older. It reminds me of civics from the 90s and early 2000s. That's when they were the cleanest
No sunroof 😓😧😑

Not on the Sport trim. Perhaps the Touring will. If not this year later, the differences between Civic and Accord are blurring out

You only get one key now?!?! Do they give you a second for free once the chip shortage has passed?
i got the EX trim and they gave me 2 keys
I'm not sure, but they should
do you really need an accord lol
The taillights are too large for the car
Color is nice interior is nice but the sport doesn’t have dual exhaust and that SUCKS
Honda probably is saving that for the civic si.
It is definitely a different design for the whole car, I would of liked a bigger different exhaust myself.
It's Accord facelift 🤷🤷
CVT…nope!
Mazda does the interior way better.
Big disagree. Test drive both yesterday and the interior of the Civic was far superior (both aesthetically and built quality).
Corolla has better lokking..
Ugly upper grill/hood.
Too long
It's actually not.
