      Even just removing every other wheel so there's space between each and having slimmer tyres would really make it work. Now it's just sliding on the surface of mud.

    Hi put big wheel in front and add some suspention in back for moving tire up and down independently
    May be some spring for axel work or put some joint (like universal joint)in the axel

  • @twocvbloke
    @twocvbloke 2 ปีที่แล้ว +16

    Front wheel, er, "struts" need to be tied together with a crossbar or something with ball joints on the ends to keep them from spreading out like that, or maybe having the whole front steering & suspension components lowered down to that level, so it's all properly aligned and equipped with brakes... :P

    Oh, extend the bars holding the rear wheels, put it in a 45 degree angle backwards then you'll be able to put some springs and dampers so it doesn't jump as much at the rear making it smoother, and i think it will also help with holding the chains nice and tight.
    Maybe two pairs, same setup as the rear only the other goes forwards, kinda like bogey wheels but independent of eachother?

    This is amazing, an interesting thought you probably also had, what if you had 2 front wheels on each side to go with the 7 in the back?
    4 front wheels, a wheel on each side of the bar instead of just one side, would possibly help... or worsen things.

    I am wondering if another set of wheels on the inside of the front pillars would help. If they are to tall you could use smaller ones for kinda a training wheel type setup in order to balance the load on the steering suspension.
    I also think a set of tires on the outside of the big wheel to help prevent rolling over.

  • @Davidautofull
    @Davidautofull 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    use a brake rotor and caliper on the driveshaft for brakes. works better than 4 wheel brakes.
    in front use those long A arms as on a desert 4x4. replacing the 18 inch spacer you made.

  • @danbergthold3481
    @danbergthold3481 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    To me, the most obvious opportunity for improving this wonderful vehicle would be to install one wheel on the front - center-mounted on motorcycle-type forks. This will allow for the simple installation of a caliper-brake from any kid's 10-speed bike.
    Since the resulting machine may be prone to falling over on its side, you could mount outriggers on both sides to stabilize it.
    In order to make the car much more likely to fall over and to further justify the addition of outriggers, consider lifting the Lada even higher above the ground - about a meter or so higher.
    This extremely practical vehicle should work terrifically well on a runway, a frozen lake bed, on Red Square, or out on the tundra.

    You should turn the front wheel into the same multi wheel setup with one pivot point in the middle. Would probably need like two power steering racks worth of power tho unless the wheels were on their own independent bearings then it would probably spin pretty easy. I bet you could crawl through a pound with that hahaha.

Also can you make front wheel active toe in or toe out and connect to brake pedal to use as braking instead of brakes? I think maybe it's possible and then you don't need brakes.
