What a wonderfully stylish arrangement! So many versions of this song are sung as 'full throttle' ballads. To me, this much more reflective interpretation matches the sentiment of the lyrics so much better. This is beautiful and really (in my opinion) hits the spot. Thank you and congratuations.
I've just listened to your version of a house is not a home and was completely bowled over..I'm a very harsh judge of a vocalist so I'd take that as a compliment..I'm a bit of a singer songwriter myself and I've been playing around with that masterpiece myself..I think I've heard that arrangement before ..and every change in the notation works perfectly..and the inflections in your voice worked beautifully with it..I listen to a lot of up and coming singers ..but I've never put one on my personal play list..in fact I can't stop playing it..so you're sandwiched between Diana Krall and Patricia Barber !!.superb job and I look forward to listening to lots more in the future..your husband is a pretty hot pianist as well. I will try and get this comment on the track when I can find my Google password. In the meantime thankyou for posting that beauty.
Not sure I agree with you on that. I like this version a bit better, but they are both great. I love the piano player on this one...Has got to be her Dad? Great soul on that piano
Trevor Feldman. ..think you've summed up well..I could add that the simple video also enhances..I've listened to umpteen versions of this classic..and this is best by a country mile...i would definitely by her album of these songs and terrific modern arrangements.
I've listened to many versions of this..and this was excellent..unfortunately all the black artists and that includes Luther van dross murder it off with all the vocal acrobatics...it wasn't perfect but the inflections in her voice lended themselves very well to the simple uncomplicated arrangement that let the song breathe..good job
Gorgeous. I've been trolling versions of this song all night and this one takes the cake.

Zeer mooi. Eenvoudig, precies zoals dit soort muziek vraagt. Geen gekweel en onnodige druk op de stem om indruk te maken. Gewoon erg mooi. Proficiat.

I imagine myself in a fancy lounge/bar listening to this very smooth music while drinking a Macallan 25 Year Old Fine Oak Scotch Whisky.

i like this song
I really like the austere simplicity of this version.
Nice that a young woman is paying tribute to such an incredible song. But still the best -- the very best -- version is Trijntje Oosterhuis's.

Mooi gezongen!🙂 Ik vind nog steeds Trijntje Oosterhuis de beste versie heeft.
Divine AND Divinity. What happened after that?
