Finally, we installed an OIL CATCH CAN system to my engine to stop the awful sludge from shooting all over my engine bay or worse, being sent back through my turbo and intake manifold causing carbon deposits that could lead to expensive repairs later on down the line... But luckily with almost any off-the-shelf oil catch tank system, this carbon build-up problem can be significantly reduced without breaking the bank. 🔻 RTMG Oil Catch Can system I used ➜ dkuperformance.co.uk/product/rtmg-universal-carbon-fiber-oil-catch-can-small/ - DKU Performance ➜ instagram.com/dkuperformance - RTMG Performance ➜ instagram.com/rtmg_performance_uk 🔥 Begin your own EA211 Big Turbo Project ➜ highonboost.com/products/ea211-is20-turbo-adapter-kit ⏭ NEXT EPISODE ➜ th-cam.com/video/Wsu9NjhRxhA/w-d-xo.html ⏮ PREVIOUS EPISODE ➜ th-cam.com/video/2E-Ly-x2IDY/w-d-xo.html ⬇ Featured Car Parts ⬇ - RTMG Air Intake ➜ dkuperformance.co.uk/product/rtmg-direct-cold-air-intake-for-1-2-1-4-tsi-ea211-mqb-vw-scirocco/ - LED DRL Bulbs I installed - amzn.to/3SZCXGd - Performance SPARK PLUGS I use ➜ highonboost.com/products/denso-ixu27-spark-plugs-1-4-tsi-ea211 - ENGINE OIL I use ➜ amzn.to/3SF6qVD - ENGINE COOLANT I use ➜ amzn.to/48Yd3ZG - APR Red Ignition Coil Packs ➜ highonboost.com/products/apr-red-ignition-coils-4-pack ⚙ Follow APC's Instagram ➜ instagram.com/anglia_performance_centre/ 🌎 APC ➜ apcperformance.co.uk/ 📷 Follow me on Instagram ➜ instagram.com/em_ligman 🔥 Follow High on Boost on IG ➜ instagram.com/high_on_boost_uk/ 🌎 Website ➜ highonboost.com/ 👉 My FAVORITE Car Accessories (that I use daily) - Digital Rearview Mirror (Dashcam) - amzn.to/47NFJnL - MagSafe Wireless Charger - amzn.to/3sk0JTm - 130W USB 12V Adapter - amzn.to/3YBJTvx - Car Boot Organiser - amzn.to/3YBKDAP - Portable Car Bin - amzn.to/3DVoyUb
For the price of 2 of those catch cans you could have got Bart to fit a water/meth injection kit which will clean carbon build-up from the valves (no needcfor catch can) and it will keep intake temps down making more power and keep the engine healthy. The meth can also be mapped in for even more power.
That looks sick, matches with the rest of the engine bay too with the red and carbon fibre, shame it’s so much money though my budget wouldn’t stretch that far😂
Your rocco is a masterpiece, youve pretty much explained everything but is there any way you can make a Video about your Halo running lights in the Front? Its one of the most original Mods ive ever seen on Sciroccos and id love to add it to mine but dont know how. Please please?
Thank you!! The lights I’m using now, I didn’t build on my own. They were built for me. But I do want to build a new set very similar to this. So I will make a video about it when I do it :)
The best way to benefit from a catch can on the ea211 is to actually use two… the best way to explain that is on the SEAT forum, look up “catch can 1.4tsi” and you’ll find a discussion with diagrams of the connection at the turbo inlet but also another nrv into the intake manifold and throttle body. The hose you connected the dirty side also runs the whole way down the side of the engine and splits at the built in “oil seperator” at what would be the front of the engine (more diagrams that explain)… trust me it’s well worth checking out to make sure you pick up as much unwanted vapours and sludge as possible especially with the power you are trying to make. Oh btw that engine bay is looking super clean with all the mods, plus I love realness of the videos and the feeling of pure experimentation ❤
catch cans are only really a benefit on track orientated cars or built engines where crankcase pressure is an issue, for a daily car a lot of these catch can systems are absolute junk and can actually increase crank case pressure, i once owned a bartek one on a cupra 280 and it made the car smoke badly at idle. but if it works for you fair play. cars with port injection as well as direct injection dont suffer with buildup even half as bad as cars with just direct injection.
Well, I bought it used to begin with. But I don’t actually think it was at fault. I’ll try it again at some point. I don’t think it’s actually broken or faulty
Oil catch can is needed on direct injection turbo engines with a recirculating PCV valve, it catches the gunk that gets recirculated. Tell us you have no idea what you're talking about without telling us.

Looks so sick bro! I need to get one of these in my Rocco asap

Interesting, is there a point for a catch can on a diesel F31? There’s always sludge on oil cap and pressure when cap open feels big
I'll look into it man, thanks the advice!
Have a look on TH-cam, but I think i've seen others benefit from a catch can on thier diesel cars.
Looking good my bro. Love where you fitted it

fit this oil catch can fit and the other cars like honda ?or just audi vag skoda and like that ?
Catch cans are basically universal for all cars
Yeah the RTMG one I used is a universal kit, most of them are universal
@@Em_Ligman thx alot

Didnt DKU/RTMG sell you a dodgy blow off valve?

@@Em_Ligman got it
should od had it from the start lol
Oh 100%
Oil catch can is needed on modified engines. If you are stock it is pointless.
You mind explaining why? Just curious
@@OFFSUPREX stock or modified, it's a great thing to have on direct injection engines.
@@OFFSUPREX you can ask your mechanic I believe he can explain with details
@@liakostsiantoulas4617 I am a mechanic but I didn’t know much about it
