i've been listening to various singers - some outstanding performers - sing these songs - and i keep coming back to this performance by Lea credit too must be given to the stage director - which didn't force her to stand in one spot - it feels like i'm watching her in their context in the middle of the musical - what a presence she must have on a theater stage
The amazing thing about Lea is that she utterly feels her songs and communicate that feeling to her audience thus taking them through all the happiness and pain of the songs...what a great singer and performer. I'm proud to be a Filipino and say Lea is a Filipino.
Always the best, Lea Salonga has been a treasure not just of Filipinos' but of the world for she's inspired us all with her singing talent.. hope she'll last for a thousand years.

She has a great voice especially for Broadway/musicals. I didn't understand the song "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" until I realized that she is talking to the country, not some girl named Argentina. And watching Evita (in Spanish class) was the first time I actually liked hearing it because I heard it way too many times on the same CD.
Lea Salonga is a commensurate vocalist. Andrew Lloyd Webber is a brilliant composer. He is the on,y person to have three hits on Broadway at the same time. “Cats”, “Phantom of the Opera” and “Jesus Christ Superstar”.
Lea always understands the song, the message, the feeling it conveys and perfectly shares it with the audience through her voice and facial expressions
