I’ve heard her as Kim and Eponine several times and was amazed at the power behind her voice, the ability to dominate the stage during her songs. I never realized the range she has. If she isn’t the best voice of my generation I don’t know who could out perform her.
I've listened/watched this six or seven times now. I can't get over how good it is. Her voice is stunning and the arrangements for the songs are fantastic.

Heaven feels... yung patulog ka na tapos ganito pakkinggan mo.. buong katawang lupa mo marerelax pati kaluluwa.. sa sobrang ganda at linis kumanta ni Ms Lea. Kung stress kang tao, i recommend this type of music especifically THIS ONE. She can calm everything within you. Your nerves, you mind, your heart, EVERYTHING AS IN EVERYTHING!

Don't ask me why, she just seems a nice person, and that voice! To think she was only 18 in Miss Saigon - wow. To learn this was a benefit concert for the orchestra? Kudos Ms. Salonga - you proved me right.

With all due respect to other Filipino celebrities NO ONE has so far equaled Lea's achievement on Broadway; It's awesome how she can go around the stage like a pro; also admirable is her flawless command of American english. Her versatility in singing is amazing! 😊

You can catch a video of a very young Lea auditioning for Kin Jon. Perhaps it was the video, however, I was not impressed. Good thing it was not up to me to make the final decision. Especially in 'Don't cry for me Argentina', when Salonga sings a capella she is clearly head & shoulders above most anyone who has ever sung in the age of recorded music.

I absolutely loved Frances Ruffelle as Eponine. Sorry no one can beat her in my opinion. Lea Salonga is awesome in Miss Saigon and West side story.
