I wanted to let you know that I have been doing paracord for ten years but I didn’t know how to do a one size fits all style that stayed tight. This video you made helped me make 59 paracord bracelets for grieving police officers and firefighters for the city of Burnsville Minnesota USA. A week ago two police officers and firefighters were shot and killed. I used your video to make those bracelets for them. I used black as the base and red and blue center stripe. I’d love to send you the final product before I deliver them. I wanted to say thank you for this video.
I just did this in fifteen minutes and it’s turned out perfectly. Thank you for this no bullshit tutorial. You can very simply tuck the tail end back under your prusik hitch and it snugs up really nicely, meaning you have no loose ends.
Wow this knot is so cool. I’m glad I found it. You actually don’t have to use two separate pieces of cord. If you put two scrap strands of paracord as a placeholder, you can braid all the way to the end and just thread the cord through one at a time with a needle while removing the placeholders. I made a quick deploy Blaze bar with one piece on cord. 🤙🏻
Hey @JonathonS1987 , I know this comment is nearly 4 years old, but could you possibly elaborate on what you mean? I gather I would have a prusik with two scrap bits, followed by two long strands for weaving onto, how would I not have to attach another piece and instead use the two long strands to be both the core and the weave? As I see it, I'd have a prusik and a two strand core, but can see how I start a weave without adding another bit of paracord.
@@Fuzzcatt1989 Check out this video at about 1:10. It’s really helpful if you have a jig. Just pretend the fire starter is the prusick knot, thread through a ring that comes apart or a piece of tied paracord, anything you can as long as you can remove it when you are done. Then just start the knot at the top as seen in the video. Braid down close to the bottom and i think i have one knot to bring the strings closer together. Then thread the ends through the prusik one a time. Adjust to your size and knot of the other side. With this specific quick deploy pattern all you have to do is u do the knot pull it through the prusik and push the braids away from the prusik knot and they slide off like well cooked meat on a bone. I think i used 14 feet of cord my first time and this pattern bracelet is pretty thick so you may need some trial and error on sizing. th-cam.com/video/y8Rkl6ovhh4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=n-xpgKA-wdfoLS9T The video is titled a survival firestarter that deploys in seconds by the weavers of eternity
Love this tutorial, thank you! Been trying to find an adjustable paracord I like, and this is it. I love that it's simple yet stays tight when adjusted. This is my favorite way to do my bracelets now.
Good Day and Thank You 'WhyKnot,' A very well made and too the point instructional video that is very easy to follow. I am a Disabled War Vet, Retired U.S. Marine, and have just embarked on this Paracord hobby. I was hoping to start off by learning how to do basic knots in hopes that I would soon be able to make my 'Vietnam Bracelet,' I have called it that, because I found some Vietnam colored cord which is very bright, and looks real nice. Any suggestions that you might have as to the particular style of bracelet and how to make it would be nice, and greatly appreciated. The 'Celtic Bar Bracelet' is very attractive, but this one that you have shown us how to make is very nice as well. Thank you once again. Take care and GOD Bless!! SuperSniperSal

I like the Mad Max set up. I was produce these for my band and the buckles we getting expensive plus having to be percise on your length. I tried other knots to hold it tight, they fell short this one will work.
Thank you so much I made one myself with the instructions from the kit but yours I used to make for a friend. This was easy and fun thanks to your video. Thank you again!
I know I'm late to chime in, but is there a way to make this a two color bracelet without melting cords together? I don't like scorching my fingers! I love the prusik knot and I have used it many times!
Thank you so much, for this. I've been looking for a tutorial for this exact bracelet, and so many of them require plastic buckles and such. I plan on being Max for Halloween, and this helps, tremendously.
My concentration is not always the best is there a way to know if the right or left has been done ? This is my first time doing this your instructions are real easy to follow, I thank you for that.
As you are proceeding, the side/vertical loops will guide you along. If the lowest side loop is on your left, then begin the next stich with the left hand strand.
Thank you so much! I've been wanting to do a Mad Max style closure for a long time, but haven't done it because it seemed too loose. Going to try it out now!:)
Awesome stopper knot. I am also just geting in to paracord bracelets. Question, if I would like to make it to a king cobra bracelet, should I just extend the 190 cm x 2 or maybe up to 500 cm?
I really like this prusik closure system. It looks like it fits this design very well. I just have negative feelings when it comes to a bracelet with dangly end(s). Annoying as hell most times, and they get caught on "everything" UPDATE: I have been wearing this bracelet with the prusik weave for about 6 months now. I've gotten used to the dangly bits. Just got a compliment on it yesterday. The guy asked me where I bought it. I said, "I made it." He was impressed. 😂
Wow! I'm stupidly excited by this: Prussic knot borderline genius! Never seen a double connection knot before (unless it has another name - end product looks fishermany) lots of time can be wasted researching this....
G’day, do you have any idea what Para cord weave Titan use on their Ferro Rods ? Do you have a video of the same weave ? If not do you have weave you can recommend using about 10 to 12 foot of Para cord ?
Is it possible to add this closure type to a fishtail bracelet with two inner strands??? I just cant wrap my brain around it if so... It would make the perfect bracelet for my personal liking.
You can get lengths of 10ft for about $4-5. shipped on EBay. I like the Paracord Planet stuff. Bored Paracord is supposed to offer decient stuff too. Sometimes you can get basic solid colors at 100ft for $8-9 shipped. Got mine from outdoorbunker on EBay. I recently got some from a different seller manufactured by EL Wood. It has a smell I don't like. Haven't used it yet.

Using a prusik knot to improve the closure is absolutely ingenious! It's so easy once you know the solution. Thanks a lot!
Easy to follow. Great for beginners. Ive used the prussik style with fishtail, snake and bootkace weaves also 👍
Thanks for a well explained tutorial nice and slowly for an old granny of 80 making them for her grandchildren.!
Well done, I appreciate your no nonsense filming, lighting, and ease to follow your steps. Thanks

Great tutorial chief! Might get back into paracords because of this!
I would like to be able to adapt this knot into a sling for a walking stick that I can adjust the length of, using the knot. Is there a way?
can you do this with another knot vs the cobra knot, say a snake knot? I am new at this.

How can you do this with 2 different colours
theres got to be a way to tie down the loose strand? maybe a little loop to slide the knot into? help me out here, lol

what do you do with all the extra cord that is hanging when you wear the bracelet ??
Most people just let it hang loose. You could also try looping it under the bracelet if the extra cord bothers you (that's what I do)
@@adlantian6334 i do a simple overhand knot with the extra around the prusik
but it does make it bulky
Even I could do this. Believe me, that's saying a lot.
like it a lot
Love the BoredParacord roast
You can do all that with only a single piece of cord. Less melted ends that way so it looks cleaner
3mm or 4mm cord?

Yes.
