Tom, you are, hands down, the best knot tutor online. Your videos are clean and clear, well paced and there's no fat. I like you too Tom.

Just successfully completed a clove and dagger bracelet. It even looks like yours!!! I'm well happy. My only gripe is that I found it impossible to make a diamond button; your tutorial doesn't quite cover where the ends of the cord are so I couldn't work out how to make one with the end strands of my bracelet. Maybe when I get more proficient I'll come back n have another attempt...bet I laugh at myself cos it's so easy!! Thanks for very VERY easy to follow tutorials. 🍀

I totally agree with your feelings toward diamond knots/buttons. I've tried to do it so many times. Watched a lot of different tutorials on that particular knot and still cannot figure it out. I've had to find other ways to augment, close and end projects which incorporate a diamond knot. None of these weavers can film it/describe/demonstrate it in a manner discernible to rookie weavers like myself.
I usually skip projects requiring a diamond knot.

loved your clove and dagger bracelet. just finished one up, but i put a little twist on mine. i ran another strand down the middle to break up all the solid color in it.

Just made a double sided key fob out of this knot, and I must say .....I have a Masters Degree of the clove hitch. I reversed the colors used for the main fob, for the double side and laced them together with a gear wheel adding a third color

I'm a beginner and having a great time making these things to take hiking and give to my mates. Many thanks for clear instructions. I live in the UK and buy my cord online as 'genuine US cord' but it's very stiff and twists a lot. Yours looks so much easier to work with; can you recommend a good source please??
    Peace out 🎂

Nice design ! I made two of this design one like this and a second one I used 3/8 inch stainless washers 3/4 inch OD and placed them where the strains cross and ran the cord through the centre. Looks real nice .

Is there a way to make a double clove and dagger? Like make it twice as wide? I really like the way that looks.

Why is it that whenever I try and tighten it, it always ends up in a jumbled mess.
