That new body rib from Semperfi is a definite addition to my next order from them. Could be effective in a variety of fry even damsel patterns. In several colours. Even when applied under tension it has a lot of pockets of air that the resin will fill adding more weight to the fly or if needed for a washing line setup instead of the resin soak in Gink or Mucilin. Adding to the usability of an already great fly. Possibly on a di 5 or di 7 with buoyant point and resin body top dropper.
Brilliant video as always. I purchased Solarez Bone Dry and am impressed with it so far. One quick question if I may. I tied some Oke Doke buzzers, and on a couple I noticed smoke or fumes coming off it under the UV torch. Is that normal, or something you have experienced? Thanks again for the videos, tight lines
Well. Country bumpkin that I am. I think this would be an excellent fly for fishing through the ice here in new England. We'll find out maybe. Thanks Lindsay!
Thanks for another great video Lindsay. This pattern was created by Michael Gorman from Oregon, US, lethal on steelhead and trouts in PNW rivers indeed. Cheers!
This devious beauty will be a staple on the rivers. The central bead will add a lot to the flutter as it moves through the water column even on the Stillwaters unfortunately without the bead for competition use. Just substitute some hooks for heavyweight patterns. One for the grayling spartic and over the pond steelheads. I suggest a very pale pink hood to suggest more of a flesh or an egg from a disturbed redd.
Nice one Lindsay, I think this could be a great Grayling flashing well as for trout. I'll give it a go and let you know how it goes. Stay safe, Big Davie .
This new Body'n'Rib material from Semperfli is available from Angus Angling, Northern Game, The Fly Tying Den and Fly Only.
Thanks Andrew had a few messages asking where it can be sourced.
Fine tying Lindsay. Cracking little fly.
Thanks Badger, looks the part for sure.

It does have a lot of potential for sure.

Looks fantastic Lindsay! Thank you for the shoutout, not my pattern just tied with different materials. Cheers.

I hope it will do a job for me here in the UK 🇬🇧
Original tied. The texture and effect produced by "Semperfli Body Rib" reminds me a lot of the Pearl Braidback.
Hi Jorge, when you remove the core it does have very similar qualities.

Good call Mick.

Thanks Davie, much appreciated.
Cracking egg pattern Lindsay it reminds me of the egg patterns they use over in Canada to catch pacific salmon cut throat steelhead dolly’s etc 🐟🎣🙂
I think that was its intended use pal but I think it will work here as well.
@@lindsayiflyfish it sure will Lindsay 🐟🎣🙂
Great job
Thanks John 👍

Hi Paul, some folks don't like egg patterns which is all good by me. You know what they say you can't please all the people all the time. ;-)
Looks like the growth my gran used to have on her face.
🤣
Hey do you sell your fly's?
Sorry pal I don’t.
Very nice. Need to try it out 🥸
Works well for Grayling as well as trout
