A Serengeti Safari But No One Else Is In The Park

We kind of had a once in a lifetime opportunity: we headed out to the Serengeti AND WE WERE THE ONLY ONES THERE.
Usually this time of year, there are 20,000 people in the park at any one time, but it was just us!
The park is the size of the state of Connecticut and we only saw 2 other cars, both of which were from other lodges.
Honestly, because it is such a big park, maybe we weren't the ONLY guests, however we didn't see anyone else.
Normally, there would be tons of traffic, but instead, we were able to see no fewer than 8 lions over our few days in the park...that never happens.
That doesn't mean that the trip wasn't without its hiccups. We had plenty: split fuel tank, multiple punctured tires, and having to spend an extra day in the park.
