a6600 for me. The $600 cost difference is for the body only. The real money delta is in the lenses. G & G master lenses start at a grand. You can get great APS-C lenses for around $400.

Hello people. I use the A6600 for church. I’ve recently had the A6400, the Nx80, and the A7C. All of them had issues I won’t get into here, but the A6600 won out over the A7C mainly due to overheating. If you are recording 4K and not using the HDMI out at all, it will go for hours. As soon as you add the HDMI it will overheat in about 30 minutes even on the high setting. There are ways around this, but I can’t take that chance at all. I’ve tested the A6600 and it holds up for many hours without problem. I added a fan and pull out the screen just for added comfort, but I didn’t do that when I tested for overheating. A7C is awesome video wise, superior to the A6600, as it has a full frame sensor. I just couldn’t take the chance of overheating, so the A6600 wins.
When I first started my channel, I was skeptical of how difficult it was to continuously push out content Every. Single. Week. I had sleepless nights, the money I spent on filming equipment seemed like a waste, and I overall had no motivation to grow this channel... but I kept focused. Not only did I listen to the feedback, I learnt from my mistakes, focussed on a niche and, most importantly, stayed consistent. Now... my channel is thriving more than I ever expected. If I can do it, you can too! ☺️
I’m going through a slump and I don’t know who needs to hear this but “Greatness is often built when no one is watching.” So don’t give up and keep going.
Expensive = better usually, however the camera doesn’t make the content. I’ve seen people with film level equipment and they bomb in editing. If you’re thinking of the A6600 it’s a fantastic camera especially if you can’t afford full frame and full frame lenses.
For me I’m looking at the A6600. I have several lenses for the A6300, and want to get into doing more videography. I’m mostly using my cameras for backpacking, so weight is a huge concern. While the bodies are similar sizes, the lenses for the A7C are substantially more expensive and heavier. Plus more custom buttons is nice for the A6600, although a dedicated exposure wheel is nice for the A7C. I’m also considering holding out to see what the A7IV will bring before committing to a new full frame....

Any thoughts on what makes the A7C sensor better? I keep watching videos from the two cameras and the A6600 looks sharper in 99% of the cases. The A7C has an adcantage in low light performance but I don’t know if I would say that alone makes it better. In the end a tool is only as good as the results i produces and when it comes to that end product, watched in 4K on youtube.. I’d almost give the win to the A6600. Love to hear your thoughts on my reflections. 🙂
Absolutely right, with today's technology APSC sensors are no longer inferior to Full frame sensors. That time has gone. Now it is more about whether you require a 1.5x crop factor or you don't need that, heavy weight lenses with full frame or light weight compact lenses with APSC etc, both these has their own sets of advantages and disadvantages. You have to see which set of pros and cons are more manageable for your shooting conditions. Thats it.
Thank you for this! I have been going back and forth between these 2. The only thing I dislike about the A7C, is the fact that the A600 has more C buttons. Would/could you do a low light comparison between these? I'm wondering how much the full frame and BSI will impact the low light performance.
Currently using a6400, im planning to upgrade to a6600 for the Ibis. I feel like it would be really handy when shooting a fast moving scene or when want to use a non native sony lens. And also for the more affordable Apsc lens. 😅
@@zexieofficial The sigma line for Apsc is pretty great The Sigma 16mm, 30mm, 56mm, @ f1.4 are all great Especially the 56mm Plus tamron is coming out with a new zoom lens for Apsc 17-70mm f2.8
@@zexieofficial On lens I love and is a great video lens is the 18-105. It has internal zoom, which is important if you are on a gimble. Lens does not grow in length as you zoom. It also has a zoom slider which is handy. Also note it has optical steady shot so it makes owning an a6400 not so bad. For video this is a great option over a fixed focal length lens, or in addition to one.
I've been using Canon G7X mark ii for most of my videos up to now and am viewing this video AFTER I just purchased the Sony A6600 with 16-55 2.8 G. I wanted the external mic input and 4K possibility and liked the grip and extra battery power of A6600. My first impressions are this A6600 combo is significantly heavier than the G7X but I feel I'll get used to it quickly and am looking forward to the better auto-focus. I think I'm still comfortable with the A6600 as opposed to A7C as it gives me everything I want for now. It's really down to good content and editing from here on ...
My favorite vlogging camera is the Sony a5100... I love everything about it expect lack of external mic jack. My a5100 is in need of replacement but I can't find anything just like it but with an external mic jack. Any suggestions?

A7C looks yellow. That said looking for vidoe photo solutions. Option a is go for a7iv. Option b is fx30 for video and a6600 for sports photo. Thoughts?
i have both the m50 and the a6400 and i dont think ill need another camera ever ..i also have a gopro hero 7 black and i only record 1080p i love the sony becuz of its auto focus ... sony are well known for auto focus .... i wanted the a7iii but couldnt justify speninf that much for a cam ..especially whilst jist starting youtube and not making money ... but still love ajooting and sharing knowledge
@@BrianTheCameraGuy Yes, but minimally. A6400 is a great camera and you’re probably not gonna see huge differences!... both can get a great image. You do get improvements in the image though, that’s for sure. I really see it as if you have the money and want to upgrade. A7C is definitely worth the upgrade!

It would probably highly depend on your content. Slow motion is great and all but so many people hamfist it in to every video for no reason. Slow mo = content amirite. Half the time it feels like they have nothing to say so it cuts to a minute of useless "b roll". That being said 4k really doesn't matter most of the time either considering the majority of people watching TH-cam are doing so on their phone

Good comparison. Deciding between the A7C and 6400 for my Canon m50 upgrade. They both look really similar...not sure it's really worth the premium. I do photography as well, so wonder how big the difference would be. Don't think the 6600 is worth the additional $300 over the 6400; probably better to just buy a gimble for the 6400 with the money saved and get even better stabilization than you would with the 6600.
4:15 What is your point exactly about the amount of phase detection points? Obviously full frame sensor of similar autofocus capability will have more because it's over twice the size of the APS-C sensor.
What kind of mic? No isses with recording audio on the Sony a6600. And, it will attach to the camera but it will vignette. You'll have to use crop (APSC) mode... So, I recommend the Sony 20mm 1.8 for the A7C

I picked the a6600 got a good deal and the a7C wasn't out yet. I got a good deal on mine it was an "open box" but teverything was there and there was damage to the body or lens. I would have still picked the a6600 I like the grip better, yes the a6600 has a few issues that are easily fixed.

I’m looking for the best mirrorless or dslr for around $1200 (body only) to record my nieces. One is a gymnast and the other does local community theater. I will be purchasing a 70-200mm f2.8 lens for whatever body I choose as well. I’m looking for eye autofocus that functions in 4k. Some have suggested Sony a6600 (I’m a little concerned about the rolling shutter) others have suggested Canon M6 Mark ii (some have said eye autofocus doesn’t work in 4k) Any help would be appreciated.
I own of Sony a6600 and I be happy with my camera I purchased in B&H with a Student program the grip of a6600 for me is good and more comfortable I can't spend more for Sony A7C a price I don't look full frame camera I really I don';t like this model for me is not priority I will be waiting for the another generation . I feel comfortable with the old menu of Sony For me both has a good cameras.

Hi - I do lot of wildlife photography with my Sony A7Riii. I am looking for a full frame (cheaper than my A7Riii) camera which i can use as a secondary camera if i want to video some of the wildlife. I know I can use my A7Riii for videoing, but if I have my 200-6000mm lens on my A7riii (which i normally do), it makes it difficult to video something that is close by which would mean i need to swap lenses every time. Im looking for that quick pick-up-and-video Sony camera where my full frame lenses would fit onto. IBIS is very important as there will be times when ill be video'ing at longer distances.....can you possibly recommend something please?......possibly under $1500-$1800? Many thanks :)

Honestly, better to just save money and get a gimble. 6600 stabilization isn't all that great either.
@Yu Kay its useful if you're recording video by hand to steady the shot, but if vlogging is your thing, yeah no good.

The remote control with Imaging Edge on the phone allows, in video mode, to choose the focus point (I don't know about the a6600).
Whats better for video? I already know the A7C is better for low light photos due to full frame but how about video stablisation ?

Do you feel comfortable when using a mic with the a6600 or it’s a pain in the ass? Can we use sigma 16 mm 1.4 with A7C ?
What kind of mic? No isses with recording audio on the Sony a6600. And, it will attach to the camera but it will vignette. You'll have to use crop (APSC) mode... So, I recommend the Sony 20mm 1.8 for the A7C

Thanks Nolan. I just noticed that you replied to my questions. Things changed since then. Now We have Rode wireless go 2. It’s perfect mic. Now I have to decide which camera to buy. I decided not to buy a gimbal so I need a camera with IBIS. I’m a beginner and I don’t want to buy too expensive camera like the A7S iii or IV
What is incredible is that neither does 4k 120fps, while most smartphones do or even have 8k.
Currently own the A6600, but like the thought of the A7C for the full frame sensor in the same body.

I picked the a6600 got a good deal and the a7C wasn't out yet. I got a good deal on mine it was an "open box" but teverything was there and there was damage to the body or lens.
I would have still picked the a6600 I like the grip better, yes the a6600 has a few issues that are easily fixed.

I’m looking for the best mirrorless or dslr for around $1200 (body only) to record my nieces. One is a gymnast and the other does local community theater. I will be purchasing a 70-200mm f2.8 lens for whatever body I choose as well. I’m looking for eye autofocus that functions in 4k. Some have suggested Sony a6600 (I’m a little concerned about the rolling shutter) others have suggested Canon M6 Mark ii (some have said eye autofocus doesn’t work in 4k) Any help would be appreciated.

I own of Sony a6600 and I be happy with my camera I purchased in B&H with a Student program the grip of a6600 for me is good and more comfortable I can't spend more for Sony A7C a price I don't look full frame camera I really I don';t like this model for me is not priority I will be waiting for the another generation . I feel comfortable with the old menu of Sony For me both has a good cameras.

I have the canon m50 mk II and its perfect for manual 4K filming since 4k only works manual mode! Keep that in mind!

Does the A7C have film simulations like Fujifilm. In a6600 simulation only occurs in photo mode.

How can you shoot 120 fps ? I tried S&Q and it is garbage.
a7c with kit lens or a6600 with tamron 17-70?
Hi - I do lot of wildlife photography with my Sony A7Riii. I am looking for a full frame (cheaper than my A7Riii) camera which i can use as a secondary camera if i want to video some of the wildlife. I know I can use my A7Riii for videoing, but if I have my 200-6000mm lens on my A7riii (which i normally do), it makes it difficult to video something that is close by which would mean i need to swap lenses every time. Im looking for that quick pick-up-and-video Sony camera where my full frame lenses would fit onto. IBIS is very important as there will be times when ill be video'ing at longer distances.....can you possibly recommend something please?......possibly under $1500-$1800? Many thanks :)
