Very intriguing. A different option I didn't know existed. That's a great idea for using Google maps with public transportation.

You are not alone. On our last trip several people asked us what the device was, and were excited to know this was an option. I made the video because of their interest, thinking there might be many people who don't know this is an option.
We have used the device for about 6 years. As more and more apps have become available it has become increasingly valuable. Using google translate with a taxi driver, for example, or whatsapp to communicate with an airbnb host.

we've had the puck for a few years, including the previous model. I think we get a few day passes (my wife tends to it). Also on cruises we have a travel router, but I may get a newer model (the tp link 750 is around 40 bucks). There are a few ships where they do something that really detects the exact device and won't split the wifi, but on most ships the travel router has worked with no problem. And we've been bringing a plugin charger thing on cruises that allows for a bunch more usb plugins...

Thanks! I had not thought about a travel router. Great idea. In my next video I'm going to talk about some other items we bring, including the multi-USB charger.
