Enjoyable video, what a fabulous trip! This Alaskan trip is on my bucket list, I want to plan and go in July 2025, thanks for sharing this incredible journey.
You should! One of the other comments suggests doing land first and do a slightly longer trip. Both are good ideas if you can swing it. Regardless of weather, I have never known someone who did the Alaska tour who didn't love it.
Great video, done 2 land and sea with Princess, recommend doing land first so you can rest the first sea days on the ship, land has a lot of moving around. Also recommend if you can do longer on land so you can have full day at a lodge without transferring to another lodge allows you to see more of that area. There are several options for how you do the land side, so do your research.
I totally agree with both suggestions. We were limited on time, because our family members are still working, and by the time you add in travel at both ends a 10 day tour was their limit. We looked at doing land first and almost did it, but going this direction turned out to be cheaper and fit the schedule best. If we do this again, we will take both suggestions and also come just a little bit later. I know the mosquitos will be worse later; we only had a few. But it would be good to see the park with green foliage and have time to explore around the two lodges, which were destinations within themselves.
Agree! We just returned from 5 day land, 7 day sea with Princess. It allowed for full days at the lodges, and once we reached the cruise we were really ready to unpack and relax. You posted great photos!
Yes, we did! In keeping with the fact they thought this would be their only cruise, my sister and her husband tried to cram as much in as possible. They were putting a lot of faith into our planning, and I'm glad everything worked out. No rain in Ketchikan, multiple whale breaches in Juneau, seeing Denali with no cloud cover. Each of those is rare by itself, and to have all three happen was fabulous!
Hi, Brandon! Glad to hear you booked a HAL standby. We have booked two of them. One is out of Seattle in 8 days. So in theory we could hear something as early as tomorrow, but I am not expecting any news until 2-3 days before sailing. If you want to continue conversation in email, my email address is my.adventure.window@gmail.com. I'd be interested to know what trip you have booked and other details. I have connected with some others along the way and can tell you their stories as well.
Thank you Thank you! Our big concern was not wanting to put on fru fru attire for dinner. Feeling 150% better about formal night!
Glad it was helpful!

Glad I found you. Very informative. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful! Working on a walking tour of the Royal Princess next.
Going in August of 2025 can’t wait
Great! Are you doing the land part first or the sea? And are you doing Princess?
When my family and I go to Denali we try to stop by the Princess Hotel. Or what we like to call Alaska brought to you by Princess Cruise line.😊
Haha. A very apt description. It's a little bit like Disney does Denali.
video very informative thankyou .

You really need more land days because of the distance between stops. At least 2 nights at each place. I’m ready to go again!
Absolutely agree. We had some time and money considerations this time, but if we do it again I would do land first and stay on land longer for sure!
Very informative and clearly explained! How does the tipping for the land portion work? Thanks!
There are no automatic gratuities on land and there is no included food on land.
Great video. Very informative. You packed a lot into 10 days!

I enjoy your videos. I’m booked on a Holland America stand by list and would love to share my experience or talk to you about the process.
