You watch this video and believe it's biased against Trump, thus reinforcing the existing idea - is confirmation bias. I believe everyone is biased. I see your comment and think "see I was right". Haha, yeah.. but no. We just have to be aware of our own bias, keep an open mind. Like Socrates said "I know that I know nothing", he isn't saying he is dumb, he is saying he does not put himself and his own knowledge above others.
Very informative video. The creator was biased when creating the visual art portion. When speaking of intelligent and educated individuals, they all appeared to be of Caucasian descent. When showing images of crime, the individuals depicted were of African descent. It's very unfortunate that the world is seen this way and further increases the biases individuals have. All races commit crimes, and all races are intelligent doctors, scientists, teachers etc.
Hi, thanks for your comment! The choices I made for character design were deliberate, I was trying to show that we often think of immigrants being criminals. Later in the online search we see articles debunking that bias, you see articles about crime rates being lower for (illegal) immigrants. This video is now many years old and in hindsight I think I should have been more obvious about my statement. Sorry that the message got lost, I never intended to further contribute to the prejudice.

To be fair, that's a pretty common bias many people have about about Black people, so, a pretty relatable example for a lot of people (that also happen to bigots, who, I suspect are VERY prone to confirmation bias).
That's what I expected too. But they did studies on it, and one reason might be, is that educated people know about their own intelligence and therefore sometimes overestimate it. Another one could be is that they're very good at arguing, and can win an argument even if their facts are wrong..

While this gives people a rough framework of what confirmation bias is, it either could have been half as long, or twice as informative. WAY too long of an intro (sheep?), WAY too much intrusive music (not that I didn't enjoy it), and graphics that were a bit much for what was being said. I'd have preferred less time on the superfluous stuff, and more detailed content, a deeper dig into the phenomenon. But that's just my opinion. Still informative and worth watching, but I feel like I still need more information. Oh well, to each their own.
Thanks for your feedback, looking back I have to agree. But I did this for my animation study, so the graphics and story was essential at that time. I just could have improved the overall pacing.
