We can thank the Moon for predictable weather, ocean currents and the circulation of important nutrients. The Moon also helps stabilize the Earth's tilt. Take away the Moon, and the Earth would go wobbling all over the place. And it would cause what I can only describe as climate change on steroids. Imagine if one day you looked up into the night sky, and saw Mars or Saturn where the Moon was supposed to be. That would sure turn our Earth into an alien world. And not just because of the new view. How would replacing the Moon change the Earth's orbit? What planet could we safely replace our Moon with? And what planet would be the most disastrous?

Very good video, but I want to add a few things:
Actually, Earth-Mercury and Earth-Mars would also be considered binary systems (or double planets), because in these cases the center of gravity would be outside both planets. Since Earth has a significant bigger mass than that of Mercury and Mars, the center of gravity would be much closer to Earth, which would do a circular orbit around it, while the other planet would do an eliptical one. For comparison, it would be like Pluto-Charon, a stable binary system. Earth-Venus, however, would be a very bad thing like the video said, because the two planets have a so similar mass that would would put the center of gravity in the middle distance between them, meaning that they would share the same circular orbit with a risk of colision in the long run.
About Mercury being the safest planet in our Solar System to replace our Moon, which is indeed true, that doesn't mean it would be safe at all. Mercury's mass is almost 4,5 times bigger than the Moon's mass, which means we would experience tidal forces 4,5 times stronger than the current we have. Costal cities would be at constant risk of flooding, and daily-night cycles would be longer, affecting all enviroment on Earth.

All of this is dependent on the size of the orbit. If a planet of higher mass than the moon orbits the earth it's higher gravity could be canceled out if it's distance were longer.

I had a question about Pluto, that I was hoping would get answered in the video, but he never got around to it...
What if Pluto was closer to Earth?
Would that help make up for the low gravitational pull?
Or would Earth simply pull it in, and Pluto collide with us?
Would anything be enough to make Pluto work, and if so, how might it work, and would there be any other effects?
