Yay! I've been dying to know your haircare routine! Also, speaking of cancer (unrelated to dry shampoo) - this past January my then-11 month old son was diagnosed with a rare form of liver cancer. We spent many, many days and nights in the hospital and I can't tell you how many times we snuggled up in his bed and watched Tati videos to pass those uncomfy hours. After 6 rounds of chemo and 2 surgeries, he's now in his 3rd month of remission. Thank you for all the comfort you brought us during those dark times 💛

If you used Johnson&Johnson baby powder on your kids or yourself, the biggest medical lawsuit in history has been on that poisonous baby powder causing cancer. The first lady to prove that's how she got cancer won $400 million dollars, and thousands of people after her have stepped forward about it. I personally met a lady who developed cancer after using Johnson and Johnson baby powder on herself for many years. And how that company STILL sells that stuff hoping more people don't find out just makes me SO 😡 I have no words. If more people boycott that company, maybe that greedy heartless company will wake up.
I have also personally met a lady who used to have a "rare" liver cancer and refused all chemo/radiation and took black (cumin)seed oil along with a diet change, and was able (after about 2 years) to completely heal her liver. Black seed oil destroys cancer along with many other things, and increases the immune system drastically. I would suggest researching about it.
Heather, I hope it stays away from him! Cancer is a nasty beast, it requires so much effort and energy to fight it. Someone else mentioned black cumin seed oil. I would also suggest it, for preventing or treating. It helped me so much, during chemo and radiation. Stay strong and positive ♥️
I can't even imagine!! Innocent babies should never have to endure such a horrendous disease. I pray he is blessed with a long, healthy, happy life.🙏

Can you have insulin resistance for years tho? Cuz I’ve been craving anything sweet legitimately as soon as puberty hit me. It is extremely hard for me to control. I have recently changed to sugar free options like Lilly’s chocolate chips
@@sarahe.2395 Hahaha! It’s possible-I know I’ve had issues with it for a while but got myself to a better place 💕. Insulin resistance is just one of many factors when it comes to this. Tati seems in tune with her health nowadays so I’m sure that’s not a concern of hers. Sending you love-and BTW, Lilly’s chocolates are lit 🤘🏽.
@@sarahe.2395 sugar cravings can be associated with TONS if things - including simply “being female” or “having a monthly period.” I have terrible sugar cravings associated with normal hormonal shifts and stress. I do not have insulin resistance.

As a hairstylist, for years I BELIEVED in products. I still do believe we need the ‘Tools to get the job done’…. But have been increasingly skeptical because I started digging into ingredients. Yep. Not always so good. So thank you for raising awareness!! It’s so important:)

Tati I have to say thank you so much for sharing this. I think I have been blind to/in denial about the things we use in our day to day being cancer causing and have kind of resigned myself to everything being bad for us. You have opened my eyes to pay more attention to what I bring into my space and providing alternatives
As far as I am concerned, as a chemist, the problem with the benzene was something related with new security issues related with the new regulation of concentrations of benzene in some products. There is no product outhere being sold which can produce cancer just because. It is important to use high quality products with nice and safe ingredients, of course, but sometime this recalls are just preventive and there is no need to panic.
Hi, can you clarify a bit more? I’ve been trying to decide if I need to stop using my recalled dry shampoo outright or if I can finish my stash and just rebuy something different when the time comes.

@@breelathrop9142 I would say that the decision is up to you and your thoughts about this problem. If you don't feel confortable using the products, throw them away for sure!
Benzene is a dangerous chemical, and yes it can cause cancer, severe hemorrhagic inflammation of the lungs, arrhythmias , etc.; but it doesn't mean that you're going to have cancer just for using a dry shampoo. In fact, it has been said that the levels of benzene found in the shampoo are not harmful for us.
FDA has very strict quality controls, which is OK, because they are taking care of us. But, let the put an example here, glitter and press pigments are not approved by them to being used around the direct eye area and some TH-camrs use it and nobody panics. The whole 'clean beauty' industry is something very tricky and, as a scientist, I hardly believe that some brands are just taking advantage.
I would say that is perfectly save for you finishing your staff and then buy something else, there is no need to panic. Nevertheless, we use viper venom in our eye cream, right?

Love this new era of tati! I used to watch a decade ago and was big into make up, then due to health issues had to change up a lot of things including make up and skin care. Finding clean options has been hard, so I'm absolutely loving the fact that tati is now on this journey too and can once again help with recommendations! 😁

These recalls are proof the system is working. There was a *potential* issue and they made the recall. If all these ingredients really were “toxic” then the FDA, EU, Australia etc would have pulled the products. Go watch lab muffin beauty science’s videos where she explains it all (she is a cosmetic chemist with a chemistry phd)
I think a drugstore skincare routine with affordable prices and tips would be a great idea. Loving the lifestyle/beauty videos!

Innersense is AMAZING! It's what my hairstylist uses in salon and now I use it exclusively at home. Her tip to me with the shampoo and conditioner is to really emulsify it in your hands before applying. Rub it in your palms longer than you think you need so you get the most out of your product!
It destroyed my hair, and I used it exactly how my stylist told me to. I can't understand how this line could work for anyone, but maybe it's just bad for curly hair.
@@potatospud9365 I’m sorry to hear that! I have curly hair and my stylist only works on curly clients. It was a bit of a learning curved for me in the beginning with this line, but I absolutely love it now! We all know that every head of curls has their own mind, though, so maybe it’s not for everyone 🤷♀️
I'm so glad you're reviewing dry shampoo as well as informing us on dry shampoo recalls. I've had trouble with dry shampoo because it makes my hair feel heavy and sticky.

I tried Innerscense for a couple months off of my hair dresser’s recommendation, and it sadly destroyed my hair. My hair is already dry, and the smoothing cream and leave in conditioner dried my hair out so much more and left it feeling waxy, tangled, and feeling like straw. 😩 it took several weeks after o stopped using it for my hair to be healthy again. I’m glad it’s working for Tati, but just be warned, ladies!

Tati, let me just tell you the radiance that is beaming within you is so beautiful. When you quickly went back to the clip of the Neutrogena sunscreen I had to rewind because I could see such a difference from you then to you now especially in the eyes! This definitely encourages me to continue on a healthy journey physically and faith journey ❤
I just find it interesting we live in a society where talking about more natural and clean products is taboo where one feels they need to defend. Thank you so much for sharing how you can physically cure yourself of some things, especially inflammation related when you focus on food as medicine and using clean beauty products. I have myself cured intersitial cytisis this way and it has been truly life changing. Thank you so much for bringing this to so many people's attention. You are saving lives.

After this video, I immediately ordered the acure dry shampoo and innersense color shampoo and conditioner. Can’t wait to use! I’ve been using bumble and bumble pret a powder and it is much better on my hair and scalp than the aerosol.

I had just read about it today so I was somewhat informed.
I am already in the process of removing aerosol spray in any form from my life.
Just a little psa from me on sprays in general. Here in Norway the health authorities have started recommending staying away from cleaning products that uses a spray of any kind, especially if it's a product that is used every day or with frequency.
The exposure to the chemicals that become airborne have been shown to increase the risk of asthma, allergies and other lung and breathing related problems. Be careful with the sprays friends.
My sister is hairdresser at an Aveda Salon. She always recommends the Aveda dry shampoo. It's a similar dry shampoo to the Acure one you mentioned. You can kind of puff it into your scalp but there is no spray.

As farmers, I’d highly suggest chatting with conventional farmers AND organic because the same chemicals are used to spray crops. It’s great to research online but visiting the actual producers help’s understand the differences in the process. Hit up an Agronomist! They are highly highly trained.

I was shocked when the recall came out for the dry shampoos, and I believe there are more popular brands included that weren’t on that list! Batiste being one of them 😩
For dry shampoo users on a budget: check your kitchen shelves for some corn flour/arrowroot powder/potato starch (finely milled powder that absorbs oil). For darker hair simply mix in some cocoa powder. You can add a couple of drops of an essential oil of your choosing too. It's literally what's listed in the ingredients section on Acure bottle, but it's super cheap and DIY (there is plenty of recipes online but essentially it's just oil-absorbing powder+cocoa if needed). I prep mine in a jar and use a big makeup brush to apply.

I find it interesting that it is allowed in the US to be used in products. However, with every ingredient you should be cautious. It’s naive to believe that the organic, biological “alternatives” are now the better options. You should always keep in mind that something that has been advertised as clean can still be proven as hazardous in the long run. All of the products on the market aren’t currently regulated in their mixtures effects. If the ingredient list is long, it’s usually not good. That applies for food as well for cosmetics that you put daily on your face.
Propellants are allowed virtually everywhere, if you mean benzene then no, it is not allowed in the US, but trace amounts are allowed in the EU.

My husband complained so much after we got married about my dry shampoo lingering chemical smell in the bathroom, I stopped using it and switched to cornstarch. I just use a powder brush to apply it to the roots and it works great! I don’t get as much volume but at least I’m not breathing in all the crap and I have him to thank for that!

I’ll have to let my mom know, I’m almost 41 and I’ve never used an aerosol near my body or hair ever, just felt weird to do it. I just kind of assumed all aerosols were flammable and when I was in my early 20s I bent down to turn up the volume on the actual tv itself… and my mom and her tea light candles…🙄my long hair caught fire and my mom said it looked like my whole head was on fire. I remembered thinking, stop drop and roll and I was like there’s not enough room to do any rolling. So my mom put my head out w a blanket. I rem thinking I’m going to be bald, but all there was, was a little burnt hair smell. And I didn’t even use hairsprays etc, if I had I have no doubt that I would have died that day. Fricking candles…😂 I do like candles..,but from a distance.
Two years ago I completely stopped using dry shampoo when I learned you can kill flies with it (yeah seriously) and I kept thinking to myself what in dry shampoo is killing flies?!?! Plus personally it used to cause my hair to dry out too much- personal preference ofc but just sharing an experience that left me kinda spooked
Not sure how it kills flies but its likely that spraying a fly with anything aersosol will probably kill it lol their delicate bug bodies getting coated in particles of sulfates or other surfactants is, i imagine, pretty detrimental to their health😂 i mean, i agree that dry shampoos and aersols are not my thing (they always irritate my lungs) but just know that the fact that it kills flies is … not the greatest margin to measure a product’s safety. You could kill a fly with enough honey and thats not bad for you, ya know?
Right?! Just looking at the ingredients - propane for example - should be enough for anyone to run! It is so scary what this ingredient is in - even soft drinks!
