- It's time to go back to a place we really liked on our last visit to Vietnam. I'd like to take you back to Da Nang located in the center of Vietnam to see if this is a place for us and perhaps also for you to live in the future. I'm actually not done with Thailand, though we're looking over the next few years for other options than Thailand. In this episode, we take you from Bangkok, Thailand to Da Nang Vietnam in 2024.

I noticed that Da Nang is getting better and cleaner. Keep it up Da Nang.
That’s what I’ve seen too 😍
The government has invested billions into Da Nang, tons of new parks, sidewalks getting repaired, and even a new pier have all popped up in the last couple months alone.
Ill be in Danang in April so I appreciate your video. Looking forward to more videos in Danang. Thanks for sharing.
Nice! You’re almost here 🤩 I’m glad some of the videos can be helpful a little
Great video you making!!! Just keep doing what you doing!!!! 😉
Thank you! Will do haha. That's nice of you to say!
Thanks for the vid, looks like a great place. My wife and I will be there in May for a couple of weeks. Really looking forward to it.
Nice one Phil! I’m glad to here you’re able to return again 🤩 thanks for watching
Go to the temple up on the cliff, you'll see Lady Buddha from the beach. Amazing up there!
Your room is amazing for $9 a night! That’s a steal! Never heard such a thing! The clean bathroom is a plus and I hope it was a comfortable bed!
Enjoyed the video mate ,doing research for my first trip to Vietnam next week - looking forward :)
Thanks mate :) I'm glad you did. That's exiting :D Go with an openmind and I'm sure you will love it
I’m in danang right now and been here for 2 months and intending to stay a few months more. I love it. I can’t say I’ve ever seen the people throw rubbish on the floor in cafes before!!!
Great! I can totally see why you love it 🤩 ow no? A lot of local places have it. Nothing to complain about though. Just something different that I’m use to
Not at cafes, but this is a quán nhậu and it's common to do that 🍻
How much do you spend there?
Great vid bro 👍🏼
@@combatsportsontour6503
I’m spending around £450 to £500 a month.
Well come back guy
Thank you friend Chai for sharing the new episode for Vietnam. I will follow you again through this part of the world, Vietnam and its charms, although the restaurants are not very clean when it comes to cleaning. ✌
Thanks for watching again mate 😃 good to see you in the comments again 😁 stay champ
Thanks for the video, Chai. Also looking forward to my visit to Da Nang, though I'll likely fly into Hanoi and then make my way down the coast.
Thanks! Ow yes that’s a great way. Hopefully you’re able to spent At least 4 weeks doing it so you don’t need to rush so much 😍
Hey Chai, thanks heaps for sharing Da Nang with us. Hubby and I are travelling there next year and hopefully staying for a month or two. It was great to see the layout of the airport and atm machine locations, too. Enjoy Da Nang 😊
Hi hi! Thanks :D I'm glad to know you enjoyed this one and I hope you'll make it over here. You'll LOVE it 😃 Stay in touch
Great! Have fun.
Cheers mate! Have a good day 🏆🌞
Appreciate the tips in Don Meung airport and the walk through to DaNang!
I’m glad you do 😁 thanks for watching
Thanks for this. Planning to land in Vietnam in Da Nang next year so it's really helpful.
Glad it was helpful! Vietnam is booming 😃
Great stuff, thanks.
Thanks 😁
nice, i will be in danang in 3 weeks for the first time, looking forward!
You will love it. And if you don’t seem to do so, I guarantee you love Hoi An 🤩 thanks for watching
Will be visiting Da Nang soon! More videos 🙏
Nice! More to come :D Cheers!
Amazing. $9 for a lovely room. $90 in Europe will only get a dorm bed.😅 it would be great if you are pricing things you did and ate.
Pretty good right :) sure thing. I had a few beers and a fried rice for like 4 usd 😄 I try to include more prices in the future 🤓😁 cheers!
Nice journey and the return air fare like those throughout SE Asia most affordable champ. US$9 a night for that hotel room looks great value too mate. Good to see you back exploring one of the favourites in Da Nang and looking forward to the adventure and interesting interviews. Enjoy your time there champ!! 🤩 BIG thumbs up from me. 👍
Big thumbs received mate 😁 thanks! It’s nice to be able to visit Vietnam once in a while. Perhaps a little longer some time in the future 🤩
Great video, i'd also watched a couple of your other videos of Cambodia. I'm originally born in Cambodia, now reside in the US. Never been to Vietnam, but consider visiting in the near future.
Nice! Thanks for saying hi. Hopefully some of my videos are helpful to you 🙂stay in touch
I was expecting Noona to jump out of a side corridor at the airport waving and smiling happily. Enjoy DaNang.
Aw haha, unfortunately she didn’t 🤭 thanks mate 🏆
😂haha maybe next time I will!
OMG can't wait for your next video!! I'm moving there soon in July!!!
So cool! I hope some of it is useful 😁
@Chai_Travel yes, definitely! Is it super hot or humid like others have said?
@@iisces2953I would say no! For this time of the year, from December to end of March is winter here in Vietnam, even Danang located in Central. Temp drop from 18-28 degree celcious. I've been there last week! Have fun❤!
That’s it. I think it’s a great month to move. It can be very rainy and windy some parts of the year but it wouldn’t scare me 😄 I’m sure you’d love it
@Chai_Travel so july is perfect? Yay! We're so excited, hope to meet some friends!!! We're looking for a villa around 2000k a month usd and private pool. We're having a hard time getting hold of someone, though! Any recommendations?
Da Nang, it's quite a beautiful touristy place in Vietnam.
It’s gorgeous😍 thanks for watching
@@Chai_Travel 😀
Good luck best wishes ❤
Thank you 😀
@@Chai_Travel Okay
New to the channel. Like your style! Cheers :)
Welcome 😃 thanks for saying hi and introduce yourself 🏆 stay in touch
Da Nang is the most favourite place for korean 🇰🇷 nationals, it's very touristy, lots and lots of expats there but yeah it's very beautiful place to hangout with your closed ones. I like this 20 minutes vlog chai, informative video and yes I watch you on my 65 inch Android TV 😂😂 so sometimes I forgot to comment 💬 hope more to see about Da Nang through your eyes and your channel 🏆❤ take care brother
Haha no worries mate! You’ve got a big TV lol! I’m glad you enjoyed the slightly longer video 😁 have a great day champ 🏆
Ps no worries! It’s good to hear from you once in a while 🤗
@@Chai_Travel I like this type of video(vlog) chai as you have started from the beginning Don Mueng airport to the last Da Nang city, I wish you make more this type of content being solo sometimes it's good to hear you brother
🏆
Wellcom to Danang, Việt Nam!
Thank you 🤩
Casting always from phone to tv 😊
Da Nang looks like a interesting place, cheers :)
aw haha nice one! Bedankt! It’s a pretty cool place with a lot of good food, coffees, and beaches. Stay champ 🏆
You will see more surprises in South east Asia, my friend!.... enjoy...
Great video I'm thinking of moving to Vietnam and staying if I can.
Nice one. It’s such a great place
Rất vui bạn chở lại Việt nam
Tôi rất vui vì bạn cảm thấy như vậy 🙏 cảm ơn bạn đã xem
A big THUMBS UP !!!!!! I am actually looking further south. I have been in Cambodia for 15 years, now think this is the " time for a change " destination! Your have CERTAINLY helped along those lines......opinion please (if you are familiar with) Mui Ne, please?
Nice, I'm not sure about Mui Ne but I would defenately give it a shot. Maybe plan to stay a month of so first :D Thanks mate
Im travelling there on may, i booked yesterday the flights
Nice one 🤩 I’m sure you’ll have a blast. Hopefully you found this video entertaining and a bit useful 😄
Of course they are! How do you book hotels to SE Asia?? Any suggestion? Also I'll like to see interviews to the locals talking about their favorite food and maybe tailoring spots.
From April to end of October is not the good time to visit SEA including Vietnam because of the heat and humidity . For Danang you should go on wintertime ( from December to March )
I was in Danang a couple of weeks ago and I had a fantastic time. The dragon bridge on the weekend was incredible experience and Hoi an night market unbelievable and Bana hills seemed unreal. I do have to say crossing the street anywhere in Danang is absolutely terrifying. The locals seem to have no problem walking as cars and bikes are dodging them.
Haha nicely said mate. If I could change one thing it would be the traffic 😅
Starting in Da Nang is the right choice. Don't go to Saigon and Hanoi when you first arrive in Vietnam, it will be much more crowded and chaotic than Da Nang and many people will certainly not like it.
Da Nang, Nha Trang, Ha Long are not bad choices.
Danang 👌 oh yeah - great introduction & assistance video for first timers 🤩
- may I ask the name & location of the hotel pls my friend ?
Well done - look forward to more ✔️👌😃👋🙏
Thanks! Haha more is coming up 😍 it’s called Star Hotel. It’s a budget hotel though and wouldn’t expect too much from it. Though it’s great value for 9usd. The location is called; Phước Mỹ
The garbage you see on the ground in the restaurant around the 17:00 mark in the video, that use to be typical in Vietnam 10 to 20 years back just fyi. Slowly but surely things have been changing over time in terms of cleanliness but Vietnam still has a long way to go.
Nice :) thanks for sharing that. I’m sure things will change over time. It’s interesting to see 😊
Hi Chai, yup, throwing your trash/ scraps/ cans under the table is common all over at places like that, at the end of the night the tables and chairs are cleared away and the floor swept and hosed down 😅
Thanks! Haha it’s just a different way of eating at the dinner table 😁 thanks for watching again
@@Chai_Travel Enjoy Danang! Would love to know your pic of places to eat mì quảng!
@@TheBureauAsia thanks! Aw man, haha I wouldn’t know yet tbh. But I’ll try a few places and I hopefully can let you know later this year 😋
$9 for a hotel room is insane. very affordable. Foods looks great too. I heard some of the vietnamese beach towns can be touristy tho. Let us know what you thought of the city after the visit. Stay champ!
It’s pretty good right?! 🤩 the room and hotel is a bit old but perfect for me being there solo. The city is very nice, many people to socialize. Vibes are great and not too busy, no traffic jams. Beaches are very clean (water is not super clear though). Prices of accommodation is very affordable and the food… you can get pretty much everything and it’s great quality. Only downside: traffic. Like almost everywhere in Vietnam, you have to be very alert being in traffic. I hope to show some more of Da Nang soon 😁
@@Chai_Travel Awesome. Sounds like you're having a good time. Excited to see more videos, they've been great man
Thanks for posting this! Very informative indeed! I just watched a TIKTOK an American arriving in Vietnam just a layover to get to Korea. Immigration refused him an entry coz he didn’t have a visa but he was only there to catch his next flight. The Immigration lady told him to get to this website and he found out he just got scammed, $99 dollars for a few hours visa in Vietnam and he missed his connecting flight! So awful!
Ow noo! you better apply for it at the website provided in the description. No 3rd parties, no worries
Good Vlog. Grow
Thank you 😊
oh, I think this time you will go to Nha Trang or Da Lat, I want to know your thoughts about those two places!
Maybe next time 😁
@@Chai_Travel Rent a motorbike and take the Hai Van Pass trip to Hue, the ancient capital of Vietnam, with the Forbidden City and many royal tombs.
We were in ða nang few weeks ago great place near the beach front,, take a trip to Hou An and An Bang great places
Nice 🤩 great advice. Thanks a lot 😁
Also chevy bar happy hour buy 2 beer get 1 free between 4-7!!
Haha nice! I have to check it out on my next visit
No way! Nice change.
Love this channel!! I’m struggling to decide what country or better cities or town to stray between Thailand Vietnam Cambodia and Malaysia. I’m planning to study yoga personal training etc very crucial is to stay near the beach and have some English speaking international community, any raccomandation? I feel like Thailand is very like more popular but I don’t know why actually if there is a reason of government make it easier to travel in the country? Thank you !!
Also a good government easy to maybe decide to do business or open something
Thanks! I'd come over and spend a month in Vietnam, Than in in Thailand or Malaysia. See what fits you better. Da Nang has a big Yoga community
@@Chai_Travel any idea of best cities that have kinda already what I want so I can get a base there and then travel around I guess? Like 1 in Thailand, 1 in Vietnam, 1 in Malaysia maybe or Cambodia near the beach
Hey Chai .. What kind of camera do you use? I was trying to see in the sliding glass doors haha, but could not see. I am wondering how you get the camera to swivel (turn and move) from you to the walk ahead .. or vise versa. It's much smoother than switching an iPhione (what I have) back and forth. Thanks!
Ey mate, thanks! Haha I mainly film with an iPhone13 clicked on a DJI OM4
That particular DJI stabilizer has a very good battery life and I highly recommend it 😁
@@Chai_Travel So you just attach your IPhone to it? Did you have to practice for a bit? To get the motion and direction of the shots you were looking for? Thanks Chai. I'm gonna get one too. :)
Yes you can. It’s a pretty cool device. Just practice for a while and you’ll get the hang of it. Cheers 🏆
@@Chai_Travel Thanks so much!
Yeah, it's strange. I'm in Hanoi & exchanged $ for the high bank rate over 25k Dong w/no commission at a travel agency. Don't know how they do it. Maybe speculation? The dollar was predicted to increase against the baht---the Dong also? Tks for the helpful vid. I go to Da Nang tomorrow.
Nice one mate! Thanks for sharing. Yeah it could be seen as an investment in the dollar indeed. I personally would say it’s not the best investment at the moment 😅
người ta ăn bỏ dưới chân bàn để chặp nhân viên quét dọn luôn đó
hope nect ep see you in cambodia
I’ll be in Cambodia again April/May 😊
exchanging ,money at gold stores in VN gives the best rates
Thanks for the tip! 😀
Is grab in Thailand the same app as grab in Vietnam or must you install new app ?
Same app :) no need to change anything.
Da Nang was on top of our list! But after watching that scam right at the airport is very discouraging! So I would have to educate myself more about Vietnam to make me comfortable enough to visit the country.
👍👍👍
Thanks 😊
Danang is more beautiful than pattaya when it comes to city proper.
Noted
That’s an option :) but I share it 🤭
Did they end up asking you for a printed version of your visa?
No, they didn’t. I’d still follow the guidelines the government supplies though
Don't french people get visa exempt? I'm from UK and I get a 45 days visa exemption for Vietnam.
Yes the French get also 45 :)
Nothing is ever better than brand new crisp $100 bills ,or equivalent. Old wrinkled money gets less !!😱😊 Always travel with new $! You can actually bargain for higher exchange rates.
Nice Video.
@@gertdrok Top, bedankt. Dan weet ik ff genoeg. Heel veel dank
You are misunderstanding. If you look closely, there are only (peanut shells, wet tissue bags, and beer cans). And this trash will be cleaned up later by staff. (Do you think staff should clean up when customers are eating)
That’s right :) I’m not seeing that as a negative thing. I’m just not use to it and I think it’s worth showing because it’s different than I’m use yo see in other parts of South East Asia 🙏 no negative vibes here
DaNang arrival begins timecode 7:45
chào mừng bạn
Thank you so much ❤️Cảm ơn
How is the price there brother chai
It’s very affordable. I’d say 3/5 of the cost in KL
@@Chai_Travel noted
Did they have a certain kind of visitors that trashed the floor in the restaurant?? Visitors!?
It’s the type of restaurant/bar in my understanding. It’s pretty common at some places to do so. They will clean it up at the end of the night
I want to go but dam visa confuses me
You can easily apply for a visa. The link I provided in the description of this video. No middle man, no commission. It’s very straightforward
Hello mate
Ey mate, thanks for watching 😁🤗
13 countries can get 45 days visa free stay in Vietnam
Why do you always say "we" if you are alone? 😂 thanks for the info, I will be in Danang next December
Haha yeah I’ve the feeling you’re guys “who ever is watching” are also a bit there 😅 I know I’m a bit weird 😂
Good to know you’re making it over mate 🤩
Italian can go to Vietnam without visa for 45 days. It could not be right that the Italian woman could not board because of having no right visa...
Like I’ve mentioned I wasn’t sure when she was from 😅 she was not able to board the plane. Poor lady
Hello! Tôi là người việt nam🇻🇳
xin chào, tôi hy vọng bạn thích những video tôi làm 😁
Throwing garbage in their under the table my vietnamese friend told me that is their culture but not all vietnamese to that just some
I saw in cambodia they do the same
Air Asia cheap if you only have carry on
True
When you go to these restaurants how do you no your not eating dog.
Like in every restaurant in the world. When you order chicken, you most likely get chicken. Dog is not often eaten anymore. In the county side or in special restaurants they might still serve it but it's pretty rare.
Don't buy SIM card in the airport. They are old (pre-registered) and might run out after 1-2 weeks.
Did this happen to you?
Yes it did, and afterwards I went to Viettel and was told not to buy in the airport and she showed me the details of my SIM card and I could see the date it was registered.
Thanks for letting us know 🙏 I really hope they are sorting this out.
Don’t eat the snails, and beware of dog (meat) … 😱
No snails?
FYI They serve dog meat only in some specialized restaurants , not in any restaurant . Not all the Vietnamese eat that kind of meat , only a small minority of people do . Do more researches about food in VN before saying stupidity dude !
Da Nang is good. This video is boring though 🥱
I'm sorry I've waisted your time
You need to watch John Saboe's vlog called, Danang-Where to Stay. He gives you a rundown on each area. Hope it helps 🙂
Awesome! I’ll check him out as we love to check out more of Da Nang 🤩 thanks so much Connie, I haven’t heard of him before 🤗 have a great start of the evening
